    Seaside Heating & Air workmanship at its finest . New A/ C is not working , yet another faulty install.

    Here is what you can expect based on my unfortunate experience. 1. The estimate that was given does not include everything necessary for a complete installation, I can only guess this is how they stay competitive with their pricing . 2. Multiple service calls due to installation related workmanship and to address missing items that were not included in the original estimate that you will now need to pay for . 3. Customer service is not a concept in their business philosophy or returning phone calls when asked for a supervisor to return your call . 4. Will not stand behind their product or honor the manufacturer warranty. Once they have your money, the service also ends . My new central A/ C didn't last 2 years , Seaside Heating & Air said there was a leak in the system and billed me $400 for the coolant with no intention of fixing the problem . I am now without A/C and no better off than when I first contacted this outfit Do yourself a favor and call a professional, I wished I did.

That's exactly what happened, and we're so grateful that Alex came out to help. He responded quickly to my online inquiry and was able to schedule a visit just a few hours later. Our guests at our rental property had reported that the AC was no longer cooling, so we needed assistance fast. Alex arrived with a smile and got right to work. He was friendly, professional, and genuinely pleasant to work with. It's rare to receive this level of customer service from a technician, especially on a holiday when most people are spending time with their families. He quickly diagnosed the issue and replaced the capacitor. He also explained that the new capacitor was made in the USA, unlike the old one that had failed, and that it comes with a 5-year warranty. I really appreciated his attention to quality and transparency. Thank you, Alex, for your outstanding service, quick response, and willingness to help on such short notice. We highly recommend your company and will definitely call again if we ever need HVAC service in the future!

It was a Big job, and I must say the West Coast team did an excellent job. Communication was great throughout, and the entire team was a pleasure to work with. We had a couple of other companies provide quotes, and West Coast beat them all! They were reliable, professional, and affordable.     Uriel Blancas is the HVAC tech who did the spring maintenance re-check today and he did an…read moreexemplary job. 10/10, FIVE STARS IN ALL ASPECTS. TIMELY- Uriel called 30 min before his arrival and then, arrived at the stated time. This is particularly helpful so I can move my bunny to another room with all of his belongings. ATTENTION TO DETAIL - I saw him place a protective cloth down on the floor before he placed the ladder and tools down. I also noticed there was a bottle of cleaner with his supplies. He cleaned the inside vents as well as the compressor on the roof. He also tied off a loose wire/when checking the air handler in the ceiling. KNOWLEDGEABLE and THROROUGH - Uriel did a complete system check and then, he sat down with me to explain what was done and why. He addressed the concerns I had about some of the prior readings in terms that I could understand and shared tips that will help ensure my system runs at its most efficient. Example: A higher MERV doesn't always mean "better" and can actually restrict the airflow. He said that for my particular system I should use a MERV10 filter and change it every 3 months. He changed my filters and then, left me with two spares to use before the fall check comes. FRIENDLY - In the course of chatting with Uriel, it came up that I might benefit from having more filtered air coming into my condo. He made a recommendation for a part that would replace the standalone room air purifier I currently use. He placed this info into the after-visit summary so I can "research it and see if it fits with my needs and finances." There was zero pressure to make a purchase on the spot. And while this next item has nothing to do with the knowledge or ability of an HVAC tech, I greatly appreciate that he did NOT smell like cigarette / e-cigarette smoke or strong cologne as I have a bunny and people in my family have asthma. Thank you, Uriel, for a job well done.

    Called about a $95 flush special, left with a "you need $10,500 of work" pitch and no written…read moreestimate I responded to a "4th of July special" marketing call offering a discounted maintenance flush for my water heaters ($95 plus tax). The technician, Adrian, arrived on time and about 30 minutes into the job showed me inside the tankless unit himself and told me directly that both units were in very good condition and leak-free, with only minor scaling. He mentioned wanting to check the relief valve on the tank unit but said everything looked watertight. As he was packing up his truck, he told me the drip pan under the tank was suddenly full and appeared to be leaking -- a condition he said wasn't there when he started. He called his supervisor, Dennis, and I listened in. On that call, Adrian told Dennis he saw no visible leaks on the supply lines and heard no sound of steam contact with the heating element -- no real evidence of an internal failure. Despite that, Dennis showed up, was dismissive about the timing, and pulled up a "silver/gold/platinum" pricing menu on his phone quoting me $4,700 to $10,500 for a replacement -- with a warning that the tank could otherwise "rupture" and flood my house. He never gave me a written or emailed estimate, only showed it to me on his device. When I pushed back on why I wasn't warned a routine flush could cause this, he had no real answer. I got a second opinion from my own plumber and ended up buying a comparable replacement tank myself for roughly half of what Dennis quoted. I've called the office twice since then asking for a supervisor callback -- both times told they were "at lunch" -- I followed with a letter and it's been over 3 business days with no response. Maybe the timing is coincidental. But a service that's supposed to just clear out sediment doesn't usually end with the technician finding a "sudden" leak minutes before he's back in his truck, followed immediately by a five-figure sales pitch with no paperwork. I'd think hard before booking a "special" with this company, and I'd ask for everything in writing before you let anyone touch your water heater. I previously used Bob Jenson to replace my home's HVAC system at a cost of $45,000. Same tactics - avoid this company and get a second bid before doing anything.
