Beach Boyz Auto Repair

I paid them $2000.00 to fix the heater in my 2010 Ford F150 on June 26th of this year (I know it was getting hot and why did I need it. I had the money to fix it and didn't want to be without it come winter) So I took Stan's word based on a recommendation from my neighbor (we just moved here and didn't know anyone yet) and moved forward with him to do the work believing I would get a properly functioning heater back for that amount of money. That's not what happened. After his crew removed the whole inside of my truck. seats, console, dashboard, replaced 4 actuators and put it all back together; what I got was a truck with heat that only works on the max setting of 90 degrees and on only the driver's side. Cold air blows out of the passenger side He said he would take care of it when he found a control head and besides, I don't need heat right now anyway. Okay sounds good. (Not sure why he didn't check out the control head when he "diagnosed" the problem for 2k but I guess that's on me?? According to him it was because he couldn't locate the part) After giving him a couple of months and not hearing from him I emailed a couple of times with no response so I called him to see if he could finish the job that I paid for and he basically told me there was nothing he could do for me since he couldn't find the part. When I pushed back and said I needed the heater to work right he got loud and went all Tony Soprano on me. A complete 180 from the nice smiling guy I had met and hired to do a job for me before I paid the 2k and got back a truck with a half a^* working heater. I can hear him laughing to his crew when I was driving away "Well boys, there's one born every minute" So just beware when dealing with this guy and his shop Beach Boyz In Surfside.

October 28th I had taken my vehicle or truck I should say to glenns Bay automotive in glenns Bay…read moreroad. Joe sold the company glenns Bay automotive in glenns Bay road and Surfside Beach. The new owner down the street had bought him out. Glenns Bay automotive where Joe the owner used to be will open according to the new owner in about 2 weeks. I had noticed on my vehicle on Monday October 28th 2026, that my gas tank strap had broken off. I had the mechanic there replaced it everything went well. Glenns Bay automotive October 30th on a Wednesday I had purchased new brakes and new drums for the rear of my Toyota Tacoma. The mechanic put them on. But I had to take my vehicle to discount tires because the cap was not put on correctly or firmly. In addition, my wheels rear wheels after he had installed the new brakes and the new drums weren't specifically tightened to spec. Which means, the tires were not tort to 85 lb which they should have been. The lug nuts were loose. As I was paying the mechanic had mentioned to his boss that somebody had said to them why did you change his gas strap that was broken. Why did you tell him his gas tank was broken that's what the mechanic said to his boss. Somebody said that to the mechanic. How did those people know where I was first. How did they know that the gas strap on my Toyota Tacoma 2003 was broken. That seems suspicious to me. So I called the horry county Police department and reported it. I go back this Wednesday for checking on the brakes to see if they need adjustment. I will ask the the mechanic who said that to them that why did you tell him his gas strap was broken. The mechanics never told me that my gas tank was broken I noticed it. I brought my truck to glenns Bay automotive to the new owner to replace it the mechanic replaced it. Who are these people. Are they following me. The question is how did they know my gas strap broke and how did they know that I was at Glenn's Bay getting it fixed. To reiterate, I reported to the horry county and I told the officer I'll try to give them the information on Wednesday when they adjust my brakes. I don't think that I'm going to be doing any more business with glenns Bay automotive on glenns Bay road in Surfside Beach. Joe no longer owns glenns Bay some man bought him out. To reiterate, Joe sold glenns Bay automotive to a new owner and he's supposed to be moving in within about 2 weeks. He's right down the street from glenns Bay automotive working out of there. In a little shop.

We had an overheating auto while on vacation at Surfside Beach and a scheduled departure the following day. I limped into the Car Doc's place with a temperature gauge that was about to fly off the dashboard, a wife and 2 year old in the car. They were the nicest folks imaginable and immediately set to taking a look at my car issues. They not only diagnosed and repaired my faulty thermostat in record time, they did it for parts and 1 & 1/2 hours of labor. And this was on a not-easy-to-work-on Cadillac DTS engine. Just getting to the engine requires a half hour as does reassembling everything. They took me and my family down the road to where we were staying, and came back to pick us up when the repair was done. Honestly I don't think a dealership's "concierge service" could possibly have been any better. We pulled into the Car Doc completely stressed out with a car that was massively overheating and short timeline to get anything done, and walked out a couple of hours later with the peace of mind that the car was fixed. I've dealt with some mechanics that would have done the same thing, but too many that wouldn't have. The cost was absolutely minimal, and we drove home would perfectly functioning cooling system in some serious heat. Thanks to the good folks at the Car Doc for your much-needed help in a tight situation. I cannot thank you enough! I have NO idea what business the first reviewer on Yelp was dealing with, but I am fairly certain that it was NOT this Car Doc.
