I gave Tracy, the owner, a call and gave her a background history on our 10mo old Sheltie and where we hoped to be with him in the future. Aside from doing agility for fun, we also really wanted to add some titles to his name. Tracy recommended we try a 6-week a Sports Sampler course to see which sports we liked and which ones our dog liked. Although we were set on starting foundations for agility, we signed up for the course and hoped for the best. My boyfriend, my dog, and I all really look forward to this class every week with Shayla. She is an awesome trainer and is so sweet with our Archer. Every week we try a different dog sport, from rally to agility to treiball to tricks and balancing. The class is really fun and the hour goes by so quickly!! I'm glad we took the sampler course after all, and will begin agility foundation as planned once this course is through. They set up a consultation to discuss my specific tasks for Wrig to work on to help me have an easier life. Wrigley left me as a highly energetic rescue dog with so much love and no spacial awareness. She was extremely smart but didn't know how to use it. After a month with Cadence K9 she came home a smart, fully aware, still so loving, extremely helpful service dog. They not only taught her basic commands to help me in every day life, but they taught her critical thinking in every day life. She went on field trips to get public training and she absolutely knew when she was working and when she wasn't. I was blown away. Just a week or so ago, several months after her training camp, Wrigley and I were out and about shopping. I was standing at a counter purchasing something and Wrigley noticed people walking close behind me. She switched on her own and made herself a protective barrier between me and the crowd. When I would drive up to Rocco's, my dog would get so happy and excited - this is how I know that she was in good hands. Leby would send me a daily report on my dog's progress or if she had any setbacks that day. She would also suggest techniques that I could use at home to help my dog with her anxiety/aggression issues and how to teach her commands.
