This is a nice buffet. It's nice and big. The food is good and they have a large selection of seafood, grilled and stir fried entrees. They also have rotating specials. Tonight was dungeness crab, lamb, and T-bone steak. They had well done steaks grilled and ready. If you want your steak on the rare side, you can ask the cook to grill a new steak for you. There's plenty of parking and the servers were quick and helpful. This place is worth checking out! read more

Had an excellent experience at Seaside Buffet. I had a funeral service for my Dad and needed a reception gathering for my guests afterward. Emily with Seaside Buffet was very accommodating and took care of all our guest. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone and come back again. Good was great too! read more

Visited the restaurant on a Monday around 3:30. The food was typical of a normal Chinese buffet. Food was okay, nothing special, lots of options though. I didn't like the fact that my 3 and 5 year old were charged 1/2 price buffet fee...there is absolutely no way they will ever eat close to 20 dollars in food. Be aware that kids don't eat free or a reduced price..they eat for half of what the menu price is. read more

They had ice cream, fire for smores a fudge rain fall for fruits Mango jello Red jello Sushis and soup ingrediants and always warm or always cold ready to eat meats, a bar And squid cooked Crab and kradads and lots of shrimps French fries There werent many customers and i was able to look before hand at food before paying They took empty plates while we were picking more food very wuickly it was never messy Service is fast attentive Ambiance was very chill two tvs not loud so we can talk The person lady who cooked in soup today was an amaxing not too talkative but great cook. Great assortment of seafood and other Asian dishes. If you like crab legs and mud bugs they have them. A nice selection of sushi and nigeri. Desserts and even a cook top to make smores. Bussers came around frequently to clean dirty plates off the table. read more

I have not eaten there yet, I usually go to a place down the street. I looked over the whole place. It was very clean food looked fresh well taken care buffets can look tired after lunch time it, was not. The smell was very fresh they had lots of sushi and lots of and lots of hot dishes. I live in Vista and drive down about once a week. This buffet is going into my rotation. Seaside Buffet is a large place good for big parties. read more

We went here for an early dinner on a Saturday, to accommodate my family's various tastebuds. The price was alright and understandable, but it's upto you and your folks on how to make worth of your time here. All I can say is that I like their extensive selection of Chinese food, Sushi, Prime Rib and the teppanyaki bar. I kinda found it strange that this place uses disposable plastic utensils and styrofoam cups and plates. (I should've taken pictures of it, but I was hungry. Perhaps next time though) Eating here felt like I was attending my family or friend's birthday parties at home. In other words, I felt at home. I opted for their sauteed bok choy, california roll, sauteed mushrooms and chicken with broccoli. I tried their orange chicken, but it was too spicy for my taste and sensitivity to spicy food. Perhaps next time, they can reduce the spice level for their orange chicken. I admit that I had at least two plates to satisfy my intro bites upto the main courses. I also had their fried frog legs which were tender and their chicken wings. The chicken wings were not as crispy but at least they were tasty, tender, not too salty and not greasy. Last but never the least, I was not expecting to find my favorite at this buffet: Thrifty Ice Cream. I'm aware that Rite Aid carries this classic ice cream brand, but I can't go wrong with Thrifty Ice Cream at a buffet. Honestly, this is much better than the typical soft serve ice creams that are found in other buffets. They had chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, butter pecan, pistachio, mint chocolate chip, coconut pineapple, green tea and strawberry cheesecake. I tried their Green Tea Ice Cream but my most favorite is Strawberry Cheesecake flavor. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area again. read more

I had to make a quick decision as to where to have approximately 20 people join us for lunch after a memorial service at Miramar National Cemetery. The group helped choose this restaurant because they were familiar with it. I had never been there before. The food selection was good- a variety of Asian hot dishes and sushi. They also had a Mongolian beef cooking station and another station (I think tempani- something like that ). Deserts included ice cream, fruits, chocolate fountain, cakes, cookies, and s'mores station. People in my large group were up many times getting 2nd-5th servings! Came to eat here for dinner on a Saturday night around 6pm. Place was maybe a third filled. Should've figured on what to expect by how not busy it was on a Saturday night. Food was not good at all, it was just bland and not fresh. I'm honestly surprised this place is still in business. The service was really good though. Our waitress worked really hard and was all over the place helping all the tables. I believe she was the only waitress the whole night which is kind of nuts. Used to enjoy this place before pre Covid but I definitely won't be back. Please avoid this place and go eat at another buffet, don't be full of regret like me. read more

Best seafood buffet San Diego had including price and what they offer!! I've been here múltiple times and I've always enjoyed it! Service is also really great. My fav things there are the donuts, sesame balls, fried rice, chicken and broccoli, coconut shrimp, any of the sushi and crab legs.. and the desserts! They also have a chocolate fountain! Very kid friendly and family friendly. They also have child high chairs. Parking is great. Wait time is usually never an issue. And bathrooms are well taken care of! read more

My husband and I were starving after the beach and found this place. Decent food for the price. Some notable foods were the crab legs (I think dinner only), sushi, the Teppanyaki, and ice cream! They had both hot and cold crab. Other than crab they had many seafood options such as scallops, mussels, clams & crawfish. There were more options for seafood than land animals. Dessert wise they had 8 tubs of different thrifty ice cream flavors. Service is fast however we did come right at opening. Our water stayed filled the whole time. Cleanly interior and nice bathrooms. Whoever was on aux had a good playlist set as well!! Overall I would definitely come back again. Side note... hubby said 10/10 bc star wars was playing during our meal read more

We spent so much money and all of this is going right into the garbage. Stay away from this hole! It should be shut down for trying to poison people. So imagine our surprise when the bill was nearly $100 for two people? It was a misunderstanding. However, the initial staff gentlemen was completely rude about it and ignored us as we sought to understand. Finally, a second female server came and heard our concerns regarding the false advertisement and unclear messaging. She was able to provide us the price we thought this was for based on Menu selection. All in all - I don't recommend the AYCE option. I think it would be important to make a distinction that AYCE clearly on the menu and at the front - AYCE means each individual selects ONE entree (which is a one small portion) and the AYCE component of the deal is ONLY for the side buffet.

Pleasantly surprised by their wide selection of food. Came for dinner with some friends on Friday night and was super pleased with how friendly our server and front staff were with us. One of my friends had difficulty walking and the hostess helped us to a closer table for my friend which I thought was really thoughtful. Although they were super busy they still offered to help him get his food! The sushi station was well stocked, whenever they ran low on sushi, it was immediately restocked. They had Ikura, which I hardly see at an Asian buffet, the sashimi cuts are big. The crab legs were really good, just right not too salty and come out of the shell easily. A teppanyaki grill and a noodle bar station were available to customize your own dish to your liking from the selections they offered at the bar. Some highlights from the hot items included the duck bao, which a person comes by and places everything together for you, roast beef, ribs, scallops, crawfish, salt and pepper frog legs, oyster, also had cold ones as well, and salt and pepper crab. The desserts they offered were surprising as well, a s'mores station, cotton candy machine, and a chocolate machine which stood out to me when I first arrived at the place. Also, I saw that they had a full bar. The price may be slightly higher than most buffets you go to, but the food selection that they offered was reasonable for the price. Stopped in to see if things got better. The food has definitely improved. The full menu of food items are in place. The addition of a shark fin soup was very interesting. Decent flavor with a really taste of shark fin. The Beijing or Peking duck was very good for a buffet restaurant. The bun was soft warm and tasty. Had to eat a few of these. Hot and cold snow crab legs and oysters were also available. This is something different that I enjoyed. The hot food items were much better in taste. The standard salad bar items were good. The sushi spread was good but nothing out of the standard sushi. No specialty sushi items since this was a week night. The Brazilian grill items seemed a little dry due to the slow turnover with the food. Desserts were to numerous to try all this time. There is a cotton candy machine that made fresh cotton candy to order. Nice little addition great for the kid in all of us. The cream puffs were actually good not the usual bland at a buffet. This was our first visit here after hearing good things from our friends. We decided to give it a try, but was disappointed by the experience. The food was okay, but nothing memorable. Service - this was the worst part of dining here. The server was rude, and was giving us dirty looks. They didn't even care to refill our drinks, and ignored us most of the time. This gave us a bad impression to our first and last trip to Seaside. Food - a wide variety with plenty of seafood and dessert choices. Unfortunately, it took a long time to refill some dishes especially the sushi. The sushi chef was particularly not nice. We wanted to give the Beijing duck a try, but the chef said it would be ready in 5 minutes. It took almost 30 minutes for it to be prepared, and he was shocked that we asked for 5 buns for a family of 4. Dim sum was also tough and old. This buffet has the best of everything! It's so difficult to find an affordable and quality buffet but I love coming here. The restaurant is huge and spacious. The food options are great for parties or families. There is a teppanyaki station and they have various meats (chicken, beef, even lamb). The noodle soup station is next and they have seafood options for you to pick the sides you want to add. They are open all year round!! On thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Closed only on Tuesdays. The sushi bar has a wide variety of options and they make this fresh. They have sections separated by hot entrees, salad bar and sushi bar. The salad bar and sushi bar is stacked with fresh fish and fruits. The dessert area now has thriftys ice cream, cotton candy, cookies, and a big assortment of desserts.
