We were displaced from Hurricane Irma. This was our second hotel. What you can expect: beautiful exterior that is welcoming; 2 bedroom 1 bath with full kitchen; front and back to each suite; very quite bright rooms; very comfortable beds; very clean; has grills,so sauna, pool. This is a small privately owned property. The employees and owner are very nice. The only negative is remoteness so cell service is an issue. I would highly recommend this adorable place if you want to relax.

Private, clean spacious rooms, and very helpful/friendly staff. Hidden little gem right on the beach!

Location - This hotel is located on a long strip of white, sandy beach between Cocoa Beach and Vero Beach. We loved that the resort sat right on the beach with rooms facing the ocean which allowed for breathtaking views of the Atlantic. Plenty of shopping and food choices are just up the road from this hotel and the Cocoa Beach area is not too far to the north if you are looking to do anything in that area. Rooms & Building - Rooms are all suites and are spacious. They reminded me of what you would find normally at an Embassy Suites. Each room offered a balcony that faced the ocean and the beach. The style and theme was modern nautical which fit the surrounding area. The room had a fridge and microwave and two bedrooms. The bathroom had a spacious rainfall shower. Amenities - The hotel has an outdoor pool & hot tub and large sun deck with multiple loungers. The pool was heated to a enjoyable temp and the hot tub had good jets. Access to the beach is just a short walk from the sun deck. You can purchase an umbrella and two chairs for $40 a day. Food - Like every Doubletree location, warm cookies are always available whenever you want. We were staying here during Valentine's Day and they offered a fun and creative date night menu. Food was good but it was a tad pricey. There was a pool bar that offered drinks and food. We liked the bucket drinks - great price and strong. Vibe - Easy going beach vibe from staff and customers. No complaints. Reality vs. Online - Pictures that I saw on their website and online matched the quality and condition of the hotel and rooms in-person. No surprises. Price & Final Verdict - This choice offers a great beach-centered hotel yet it is close enough for shopping, nightlife and food. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, so whether you are looking for a relaxing balcony or a sandy spot on the beach, this location offers a great choice for everyone.

Other than maybe a little outdated , this is the perfect place to be on Melbourne Beach. Yes right…read moreon the beach. I booked this hotel for my wife's birthday weekend. We stayed 3 nights. Everything was great. We had a 7th floor balcony, with a king sized bed and a living room with a mini fridge and coffee maker. The views were breathtaking. Every room faces the ocean. The front door opened to a view of Indian river, So we got to see the sun set at our front door and the sun rise from our balcony. We even were lucky enough to catch a launch. Other than just steps away from the beach , they also have a pretty good size pool , hot tub and a tiki bar. I recommend bringing a couple of chairs for the beach, and save yourself a few bucks for chair rental. They also have a restaurant on the first floor. Breakfast is not included , even if you are a Hilton member. I was a little disappointed about that. But we did grab a burger and chicken sandwich , which were pretty good. Only a 2 hour drive from my front door, we will definitely look to book another room, the next Melbourne vacation we plan. Plenty of restaurants and things to do close by, including the Brevard Zoo, and a Indian River boat tour.

The next day upon our arrival we had a last minute change of plans, because the room had a very limited direct ocean view and weather was going to be raining the whole time, so a balcony or direct ocean front view was a must. Kim was kind enough that she showed us 3 other alternatives available and offered us a full refund if we didn't like any. So we went somewhere else but the little tour we took and all the little amenities, beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, the pool, the bed in the room, jacuzzi bathtub, breakfast place, everything looked prestige!!!

Did I mention the private gazebo w/ 2 chairs, a short walk to the sandy beach? We stayed in room #3, 'Summer Garden' complete w/ a balcony facing the ocean. Breakfast was perfect, it was nice to order & not to settle for the host's 'creation', as in many B&B's. On the second morning Erika & Rachele served us breakfast, Rachele is from Maine & Erika is from RI. Erica does a perfect 'moon walk'! So much fun reminiscing about Maine. The rooms have clearly been updated while still keeping some of the original décor, which gives it a bit of charm. I had a partial ocean view from my balcony and it was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the breeze. The kitchen is small but worked great for my needs. There's no oven, but it does have a two-burner stove, microwave, sink for dishes, and about a 3/4-size fridge. It was stocked with all the dishes and utensils you'd need to cook a simple meal. Overall, it was comfortable, practical, and a great stay. I'll definitely be coming back.

They provide beach chair and towels. They have a nice pool with plenty of lounge chairs and tables, but no hot tub. They also have a party room with a kitchen, tables, chairs, couches, bathrooms, games and books. There is an ice machine and a bbq grill area too. Our room had two TVs and free wifi. No "do not disturb" sign, so the maids woke me up almost every morning. They left clean towels and tp/Kleenex but never made the bed or did the dishes. They cleaned the bathroom though. There are good restaurants and shops nearby. Lots of shells on the beach. Plenty of large parking spots. Friendly employees.

We could hear the ocean at night which was so relaxing. It is on a 5 lane road but the rooms sit back far enough that you couldn't hear the traffic at all (at least not in room 5). There is a kitchen with a table and 2 chairs. The cupboards had plates, glasses, silverware, pots/pans, etc. There is a small stove/oven and a hotel size refrigerator. It would have been nice to have a full size refrigerator. We would have been able to cook more meals if we would have had a larger fridge to store the food. There is also a small microwave. The living room had one chair, a small couch and a large tv. The bedroom was good sized. It had a queen size bed, a dresser and a small chair. It would have been nice to have a king size bed as that is what we have at home (that took a few days to get use to). And then there is a full bathroom off of the bedroom. It's a bit small and there is a pedestal sink so not a lot of room for hairbrushes/toiletries, etc. There are some small cubbies above the toilet though. The beach is very close to the rooms, maybe 40 feet away. The owners of this motel are super friendly. All in all, it was a very pleasant week there. We would definitely stay there again. The elevators were fast, and I was able to print several forms from their business center. The menu is your basic hotel beach menu with appetizers, handheld sandwiches, various protein bowls etc. Drinks are served in plastic disposable cups. Happy hour starts at noon and the crowd can get lively pretty quick. I opted to order the Wagyu beef sliders with a side of fruit. Everything came pretty quick and hot. The sliders were delicious. The fruit could have been more ripe but it was still good. All in all it was a good meal and even better spot to catch up with my friend.

I saw less expensive rates for other dates, so it may have been high for the Holiday. We stayed in Suite 7, which faces the parking lot but you can see the ocean from the kitchen. Because we were traveling, we didn't check our email in the morning. Why should this matter? When we got there we kept looking for the office. Heads up - no office. I went to call them to see what we should do when I found a text message telling me what the code for the door was. Again, we were traveling and I am not the sort of person who is glued to my phone. Just a heads up if you stay here. You don't check in - you get a text. This 'suite' had a queen size bed. The only chairs were fold up chairs put next to a very small fold up wooden table in the kitchen. There was no place else to sit, except the bed. There is a kitchen with pots, pans, etc but no toaster. We didn't discover that until we tried to make breakfast. There is a Keurig, microwave, fridge, and stove in the room. The AC was loud but cooled off the place nicely. At night though when it would kick on it would raise up the sheet off me. Sorta strange. The room could have definitely been cleaner. I'm not sure when the last time the kitchen window sill had been wiped off. There were many dead bugs on it. The bead board in the bathroom was separated from the wall and they tried to use caulk to 'fill' it. It didn't work. The shower was small but nice. My only gripe was there was no place to set down the soap or shampoo, wash cloth, etc. They do provide soap, shampoo, and conditioner and they aren't stingy with them! The building we were in needs to be updated. There is a lovely patio out by the ocean with comfortable seats and stunning views. There is a dune and they have a wooden stairway down to the beach. The beach is incredible. It is like you have your very own private beach. The Sea View also has chairs, umbrellas, floats, etc for your use. Oh and there is a fish cleaning station if you surf fish. I gave the place 3 stars due to the location. If I stay here again, it will be in the building with the rooms that face the ocean, not in the back building. For the price, we could have stayed elsewhere but the seemingly private beach is great. I hope the owners update the property a bit though.
