I went in to buy laundry supplies and only one clerk had a mask. It was down around her neck. The other clerk and the one other customer had no mask. There was no plastic barrier at the cash register. I do not judge people for not wearing masks, but I tend to go where more people are in compliance because my own safety is one of the considerations I have in mind when I shop. I'm going to need a refrigerator soon, but I won't shop at this store. I'll go online first, or find an appliance store where hygiene is important. Did they ever think that might be the reason they only had one other customer? Before Covid-19 I would have rated this store a 4 or 5. I bought a new washer and dryer the end of August. I was thrilled that they had one to sell me, and he saved me money by recommending a top load Kenmore. The problem is that it is defective. It took six weeks to get a technician out to look at it. He diagnosed, and was suppose to order the part. He didn't. I had a very rude technician come out today, and couldn't tell me what was wrong, and why I didn't have the part. I called Sears, and they will send a technician out in two and a half weeks to find out what part is needed, and order it. Then I will need to make another appointment to have the part replaced which will probably be at least two more weeks. So off to the laundry mat we go! read more

I called and spoke with a sales associate because I needed a freezer. I was assured that if I purchased it at the time of the call it would be in stock and ready for delivery the next week. I purchased the five year protection, and the "insurance" in case of food loss due to any unforeseen problems with the freezer, and the delivery fee. The man thanked me, with a LOT of foul language, for shopping local. On the day of the scheduled delivery I had not received a phone call, and no one showed up. I called the store to find out why. The same foul mouthed associate answered my call and told me that the freezer had not come in. The associate, who now had a nasty attitude and an extremely foul mouth, stated he had received an email regarding the freezer not coming in. The nasty attitude and foul mouthed associate stated, "You were next on my list to call! You F***ng need to be understanding. There are hundreds of my Dam customers who've been waiting F***ng GOD Dam months for their appliances." I remained calm and said I understood. I did ask when he thought it might come in. The associate stated it would be there by the following Friday, and delivered the following week. I called the f following Friday to see if the associate had received an email or if the freezer had come in to the store. That Foul mouthed associate stated that he had received an email stating the freezer WOULD be in stock, and delivery would be the next week. Again, on the delivery date that I was told, no one called and no one showed. I called the store AGAIN to find out why. I spoke with an sales associate named Tiffany, with a attitude, who stated that she was busy but would call me back. I received a call back from Tiffany, who stated that the freezers we're not going to be in anytime soon because they were on backorder. I immediately requested a refund. Tiffani stated that she did not know how to do one. I asked to speak with a manager, ( and was told by Tiffany there wasn't one), that I could speak with her associate who worked there for seven years. Again, I got stuck talking to the nasty Foul mouthed associate. The foul mouthed , nasty attitude associate stated that he had refunded my purchase and that it was immediate refund an on his end. I asked for a confirmation number of the refund and was told he didn't have one. I checked with my bank three days in a row and there still is not a refund. I called my bank to see if there is a pending refund, ( trying to give the foul mouthed and nasty attitude associate the benefit of the doubt), and was told there is not. I am now calling the BBB and Washington State Attorney General general regarding the store. Buyer beware do not shop here!!!!!!!!! This store doesn't even deserve one star!!!! read more

They know there isn't much to choose from on the peninsula, and the customer service shows it. I purchased online knowing what I wanted. A week later a received an email that the dryer I ordered was not actually in stock in the store, it was. So I went in, purchased the one that "wasn't in stock" off the showroom floor. When I asked about the original purchase being on sale I was told, "well, can't go back in time, that's the price today." Should have gone to Home Depot!! Edit: this review doesn't include the headache of going thru a dispute with sears. I was charged for both dryers, so I disputed it. I actually got a message saying, " I distinctly remember you picking this dryer up, so we really need to discuss this dispute." So then I called, talked with a manager, was told I'd get a calL back. Never did, I called and left a message for a call back. Nothing!! Worst customer service. read more

The sales person was unmasked when we entered and we told him we are high-risk and asked him to put one on. He said "I don't believe in these things" but put it on. We selected an appliance but before we checked out he had his mask off again. Is it Sears policy not to care about the life and health of its customers? Confused , Not sure why we were treated so rudely? All of the reviews are so positive. My husband and I bought a refrigerator for our daughter. Paid for delivery. Upon delivery were told it would cost extra to fit through front door. That was NOT mentioned when we purchased. My daughter questioned this with the salesman that sold it to us. He was extremely rude , very upsetting to our daughter. He said we should know that. On top of all of that they scratched the front of the refrigerator installing it. Because the salesman was so rude my daughter washed her hands of the whole thing! She wanted to support local, NEVER AGAIN. We we're smooshed ! Shop big box, you are better off. read more

I've never used Sears Hometown. My microwave/vent over the range pretty much stopped working. Not a main appliance but I want it to work. Called with the model number and a VERY helpful lady helped me get the right new one and it was installed today and the old one hauled away. The installers were great! Right on time, super efficient, super friendly. Showed me how to work it (already knew but had a few questions). Bonus is they did a great cleaning job on the glass cooktop! So pleased with the service on all levels. Never set foot in the store. When I replace the fridge I'll go in. Go there! :) read more

Recently, My husband and I received our purchase of a top-loading agitator washing machine. Having read many reviews about this particular washing machine, we knew that we were going to love it. However, once it was installed and I ran my first load, I was shocked to find out that among the many beeps, whirrs and sounds that it made, the agitator, as it rotated, was extremely loud. Since, my husband and I, unfortunately, have to have both the washer and dryer in the kitchen, I knew this machine was not going to work for us. We received the washing machine on a Thursday and came back to Hometown Sears on the following Monday asking if we could bring it back and buy a different one. Even though nothing was wrong with the washing machine, Brian, the assistant manager and the owner said we could. I was beyond happy! We ended up buying a top-loading impeller-agitated washing machine and are happy with our purchase. In order to make this happen, though, Brian had to deliver our new washing machine and take our new-old agitator washing machine back to the store, an hour away. Because of the extremely kind way that Hometown Sears handled our problem, we will continue dealing with them about other future appliance needs! read more

I've purchased a push mower, refrigerator, washer, dryer, two microwaves, oven/range, and a dishwasher in the past 10 years. Do not purchase anything from this Sears. I purchased a new Husqvarna lawn tractor from them. First off they told me it was the latest Husqvarna model (2019) and the to[p of the line model at that. Turns out its a discontinued 2018 model . less than a year of ownership and only 34 hours of use the frame came apart. First I went back to the Sequim Sears where I purchased it and the owner of this Sears store wouldn't provide any help. I called, Emailed and went on the manufacturers (Husqvarna) chat to try to get help as the tractor is under warranty but after a total of 12 calls at a total of 9.5 hours of hold with no answer nor any answers through chat or email I have run out of options. The tractor is in a repair shop, it s defective. Sears not only is extremely rude and wont help at all. Do not purchase anything from them. While Ive been writing this I have been on hold with Husqvarna for 1 hour 28 minutes and yet another no answer. read more

We recently moved to the area, completed a major remodel and purchased all of our new appliances from Sears Hometown Store. Annemarie and Bob Grey, the owners, were very knowledgeable and helpful in researching options and selecting the best appliances, providing extremely competitive pricing and delivery flexibility and most importantly standing behind their products. When we did experience some issues with the refrigerator due to a manufacturer defect, they were extremely responsive and proactive including taking the lead in dealing with the manufacturer to get the issue resolved - ultimately even replacing the defective refrigerator with an upgraded model!! The Greys provided an amazing level of customer service and we highly recommend their store. We know we would never have received the same level of customer service and problem resolution from a big box store. read more

I love our local Sears!!!! First I bought a great washer and dryer set with 12 month interest free. They had a guy that had work for them for over 10 years what an asset he was for them he knew all, so respectful and got it all set up for delivery. The delivery team did a great job.
