I try to support my local stores like this family owned Sears. I like the products they sell, and would like to buy more here, however it seems they have a problem opening the store during their advertised hours. Twice during this week I showed up at 10:00 AM when the advertised opening time is 9 AM. and both times the store was still closed and dark inside. Today is Sunday and their advertised opening time is 11 AM, and it is now 1130, yet the store still locked and dark inside. Either the owner does not want business, or they have an employee that is supposed to open the store, but is not doing their job. Either way, this owner needs to decide if they want customers to come back, and if they do, they need to open during their advertised hours. Two other frustrated customers pulled up in cars while I was was there, and they were also quite frustrated as to why the store doesn't open on time. read more

The Sales Manager Nardia is truly one of the most unprofessional Sales persons I've ever come across in my lifetime. Her store was suppose to deliver a refrigerator yesterday to my Mother and the excuse she said her driver gave her for not delivering the refrigerator was because the street was under construction. Yes the street is currently under construction but the street is not shutdown or completely closed. This negative review could have easily been avoided if Nardia would have taken responsibility by delivering the refrigerator as originally scheduled yesterday or issuing some sort of credit/compensation for failure to deliver As-Scheduledd. I requested to speak with a District/Regional Manaer and she refused to give me their phone number. I truly hope other consumers read this and do not do business with this store based on their lack of genuine concern for Customers. read more

All the people are knowledgeable and professional. They are all very helpful and courteous. The owner is a great lady. Andre'e McIntyre is a sweet person and she really knows the business. I love that store. I go there for all my lawn mower parts. I also go there for tools. Dont make the mistake of buying craftsman parts at lowes. They are definitely not the same. I came here wanting to purchase a washer a dryer set on the spot. I walked in and there were only two employees , one of which that was with a customer. When I entered the store, no one acknowledged me. So I by myself went over to washers and dryers. I pretty much found a set I liked and was ready to purchase . I stood there for about 35 minutes but couldn't get any help even when asking for help . I left and drove to Home Depot and purchased a set. read more

Don't go here. You'll be accused of theft no matter how much you've bought there before. They've had some robberies recently and they think that gives them the right to openly accuse innocent people. They will automatically think that you're a thief if you ever went there and didn't buy anything. And then they'll openly accuse you next time around, making you prove your innocence the best you can. Don't know why they can't hire a security guard to monitor and catch actual theft so the innocent are not accused. I never usually leave bad reviews but this really deserves it. read more

Do yourself a favor and start your appliance hunt here. I ordered a dishwasher from another big box retailer anticipating better choices and availability and I was wrong. Low inventory and back order issues kept us without a dishwasher for weeks. I wouldn't even be able to get parts to repair, let alone a new unit. Finally I took Jimmy's advice to go to Sears Homestore and was so pleased to find the exact model I wanted, in stock and available to deliver and install two days later. This is a great place for picking up tools and appliances- basically the hardware section of a Sears department store. No clothes, shoes, or perfumes here, folks, this is a man's Sears store. Located in the Ponce mall, it's right near the entrance, and there's always plenty of parking. This store is rarely busy, so you can always get help from the associates there. Like I said, this store is mainly appliances, so you'll find stoves, refrigerators, televisions, toasters, you name it. Also a great selection of lawn mowers and yard work tools, as well as the great Craftsman lineup of hand tools. They have a really nice selection of tools here, you will certainly find anything you'd need. They also have a LOT of great deals at this store- keep your eyes peeled to the paper for a weekly ad with coupons and bargains, and also check online. I got a $100 discount on a sweet new Craftsman mower- with free shipping or an option to pick up at the store. I'm LOVING my new mower, and my Dad is LOVING his new riding mower as well, all bought at this store. Great selection, friendly employees, and great deals on appliances and tools- I just wish the store was bigger so I could walk around and make my wish list even bigger! I purchased an air conditioner 6/19/19 and still haven't received it as of today 7/18/19. No one there can tell me anything . They tell me they will call and never do. I've paid money which being a single mom was not easy to do however we need air in this Florida heat! I keep asking for them to please make this right and they pretty much have an I don't care attitude. Not sure what to do anymore, just don't want anyone else to go through this especially someone as financially strapped as I am. I feel like I just flushed the money down the toilet. read more

I went into the store for a part. The representative (I believe that she is the manager)could not find the barcode and so she guessed at a price. I knew that it could not be correct. I asked if she could help in any other way. One representative tried to help but was discouraged by this manager. She told me that they would need to order more parts and then I could pick up. She tried to be helpful. The manager told me that there was no reason for me to come back. They could not help me. This is a standard part for a mower. I was very polite and could not believe that she dismissed me that way. They have lost a customer for life. read more

I went in to exchange a drill battery that would not keep a charge. Because it was about 55 days I was told I had to call Sears warranty people. 8 miles back home I made a phone call to the number I was given. Shuttled to 5 people, none of which English was a first language. If I didn't order it I had to go back to the store. Was cut off on the phone. Called back and talked with 3 more people.Go to the store. So I called the store. Ray said no problem bring it in and get it exchanged. 8 miles back to the store and was told it was over 30 days. Finally the manager walked Ray through the steps for a return in a manner that was a bit condescending towards him. No do this or that but what would you do for a return? Finally I was given another battery in a battered open box. Still not sure I got a new battery. When I asked why the exchange could not have happened on my first visit another sales person injected herself into the conversation and said I was being given an exception. It appears I would have a dead battery and be out the money before they would return it. Sears is of my list forever more. read more

We ordered 5k worth of appliances and set a delivery date for Thursday. Wednesday night they call to tell us that the only delivery drivers truck broke down and they'd be coming Friday. Thursday night they call and tell us now it'll be Saturday because apparently they only have one person that can install and will not provide a vehicle for them to be on time. As I tried to talk to a manager the employee on the phone tells me 'the store is closing' and there's nothing that they'll do. The next morning, still no answers, no apology and they do not care. We had to come pick it up ourselves and the only thing refunded was the delivery charge. A washer, dryer, and refrigerator. They have the worst customer service ever. They do not care once they have your money. We are in a new home with no appliances and they could offer no solutions. I like the support local business as this is privately owned, but they don't believe in proving service for customers. I will never give them business again. I had ordered a part for my gas stove online (Sears PartsDirect). When it came in and I installed it, it didn't work right. I could see what the difference was so I thought I'd go into the store to see if they could help me get the right part. The guys in there were really helpful. They double checked that it was the correct part number but confirmed that there was a difference between the old part and the new one. One young fella started tinkering with it while the other one called the guy who installs appliances for them. The part I got was configured for natural gas and not propane. The young fella was able to swap the old orifice in the new part and that worked. He's a sharp kid. They were willing to go out of their way to figure out how to solve the problem.
