Zero stars. Worst service I have ever experienced. It started back on Memorial Day. I submitted a claim and parts were sent to my house with in 2 days. But you think I could get Sears to come out and Fix my dryer. They would set up an appointment give you an 8-5pm window and cancel. you can't get ahold of anyone at Sears. Took me 14 days to have someone come out and fix my dryer even tho the parts were at my house. After It was fixed with in 2 weeks my dryer was broken again. So now we waited another 2 weeks before someone could come look at my dryer with multiple appointments set up and canceled and changed on sears behalf. multiple days of missed work because sears would change the appt last minute. Poor custom service. Zero stars. read more

Professional, timely. The ice maker has been working flawlessly since. The problem was explained to me in detail during the repair too, which gave me some peace of mind. read more

0 rating, Joseph is very nice but he removed a leaking refrigerant seal and had to replace it by "mickey mousing" some copper to fit around the steel tubing. He had to replace the freezer drier and that also didn't fit properly and had to "Mickey mouse" that too. I think he did his best but now our refrigerator and freezer don't work at all and make constant noise. We had some ice in the freezer and it's water now. This is terrible service. he was very efficient. enjoyed having him here. although it was too expensive to replace the center element . I appreciated the estimate

the appliance cleaning service provided was not really a service. I paid $99 for a 10 minutes job for my dish water filter being hand washed in my sink, which I am already doing by my self each week. and the $50 dryer cleaner is hand picking the lint from the filter. A good reminder to always read the fine prints. read more

Quick response to my appointment request. Technician Richard was very polite and professional. He gave me instruction and advise for future issues. I am giving him 5 stars because he did his job, and I had NO issues with him. However, I did have to pay $139 with no work completed. Non technician suggestion: The website should ask if the product is under warranty, and if it is, then the customer should be directed to utilize the manufacturer or the vendor they purchased it from. $139 is a lot of money for a 5-minute consultation. Maybe prior to scheduling a technician or service reps calls to make sure the homeowner has done their due diligence in reviewing and troubleshooting the issue on their own. read more

I had no problems regarding the two local technicians - David was very professional and determined that my refrigerator compressor failed and ordered the replacement parts for me. He said it might take two weeks for the parts to arrive but if they arrived early, he would try to arrange his schedule to make the repairs more quickly. The parts arrived in a week and Michael was the technician that actually made the repairs. He was also professional and efficient. Since the refrigerator was under warranty, he said the invoice would go directly to them. The only problem I encountered was trying to book a repairman visit. The website says that Sears Repair Service is located in Waterford, CT but when you call the phone number listed, you're connected with a call center, which is probably located overseas. Then it becomes a series of texts, with links that don't work or a chatbot that can't answer your questions. When you finally get a text that the repair is scheduled, the timeframe was from 8:00 am -5:00 pm, so you have to keep the whole day open until the repairman calls with a definite arrival time. If Sears Repair Service is indeed a local business, they would do better to have their call center located in town, which would better serve their customers. read more

Diagnosed the problem, had the needed part on hand & was able to correct problem in one visit.

Dave was our technician who diagnosed our freezer's problem....broken condensor. At the first appointment he helped me order the part directly from KitchenAid. Luckily the condenser was just under the 10 year warranty age. Once the 2 parts arrived in only 4 days I was then able to call the call center to schedule Dave to come back out to install the parts. I must say it was difficult getting this appointment scheduled. The first person I spoke with told me I had to get my own repairman to install the parts. Dave reassured me that they should definitely schedule the repair with Sears and yes, finally got a customer service guy who scheduled Dave to come back out. Dave was very great to work with...he was prompt, courteous and neat ....very respectful of our floors and cabinets. It was hard getting the refrigerator out of it's built in cubby but he did it with no damage. Now our 8.5 year old KitchenAid is making ice galore and ice cream is no longer getting soft! Dave even called the next day to make sure it 2as making ice and getting cold. Thank you Dave! read more

David was very polite and professional. He was able to fix my refrigerator quickly. He cleaned everything up and was efficient. Thank you!

Gee, I didn't realize Sears Technicians could cancel fixing a flooding washing machine with no explanation, AFTER having my appointment cancelled and rescheduled without my knowledge THREE TIMES. Maybe I'm in the wrong business. ‍‍‍ read more

This is nothing but a total bureaucratic maze that ends with you and I getting ripped off. Even the poor repairman that showed up at my house to make a botched repair right could not believe what he was hearing Over the phone from Sears. First after I was sold on the contract and specifically asked them if my oven was covered. The racks warped and fell out with a full set of lamb chops all over the floor. Not to mention the potential for horrible burns as the pan fell out. They first charged me a $75 "deductible" then refused to cover the repair. They send me a full page of legalize fine print that described three potential reasons as to why they would not cover it. Never commenting on specifically why this instance was not covered. The fact that I asked for clarification before signing up had no bearing on anything. The first repair I had done was my dryer. It would run but shut off before the clothes were dry regardless of the setting. The repairman was very good and polite. Came and replaced a sensor. When it still wasn't repaired he came back (and yes I was charged another "deductible") finally he did get to the root cause and fixed the machine. When I pointed out to him that they refused to repair the oven he could not believe it and was apologetic because he was the person who originally told me it would have been covered. My dishwasher door return spring failed and they did cover that repair. However after the fact there was a burnt electrical smell coming from the unit. I had already cancelled my insurance coverage and they refused to make the original repair right. In fact they I insisted I had to wait 30 days before they would schedule a follow up repair! On what planet does that make sense? Bottom line. Sears used to be an American brand that we could be proud of. Good quality tools appliances and other goods at fair prices with great accessibility and service if something went wrong. They went bankrupt because they lost their way and started screwing America. Now a big time investor bought them out and they have gone further down the path of providing the cheapest possible product/service at the highest possible cost and provide the minimum after sale services they can legally get away with. This is a company that NEEDS to go out of business and replaced with another corporation that will adopt the ideals that Sears was originally built on. Don't shop at Sears, make room for a better company. Those skilled polite repairmen I had the privilege to meet deserve a better company to work for. America deserves a better flagship retailer. Companies that systematically screw their customers need to be replaced. Joe M Mystic CT read more

If there was a rating less than 1 star Sears would be below that. Horrible customer service.

Customer Service? I don't think so. Labor charge absurd! I gave them a single star because the Technician came, diagnosed the problem and fixed it within 35 minutes. That merits something. The $425 bill was paid. When the invoice came the next day and I called Customer Service to try to better understand the $400 labor charge (the part was only $25) the agent was unabashedly rude. I have never experienced such dismissive, unhelpful and frankly offensive interchange with a customer service rep. read more

Repeated phone calls to agents that can't speak English very well. Three trips to the house and $325 later the dryer is not working. My advise give the repair to a small local business before you waste your money on Sears. read more

I would NEVER recommend Sears Home Repair. I had a terrible experience with the call center. The people who answered the phone were difficult to understand and really could not comprehend what I was trying to tell them. The 1 - 5 p.m. timeframe is way to long to have customers wait. I told them several times I could not be there until after 1:30 and all the person at the call center could say, 1 to 5 p.m.. The first technician came after 1:30, the second time the technician had to come for the same repair, I received a call at 1:15 saying he would be there in 10 to 15 minutes, the technician came at 1:17 and left me a note stating he was there, I was not. The third time the technician came, he came after 1:30. I had to take time off from work in order to have my stove fixed. I would NEVER recommend Sears Repair Service. It was a terrible, expensive, experience. read more

Elaine G Plainfield ct. it took two months two get my washing machine fixed because Sears could not get parts. The technicians were excellent but i had to call Sears 4 or 5 times before they finally got the parts to me and i have maintenance agreements. Very poor system every time you call Sears you have to repeat why you are calling over and over because you get a different person and some of them are rude! if you want to make service better have the parts on hand no one should have to wait two months especially when you pay big bucks for those warranties. very poor communication from Sears not the people they send! read more
