Our delivery in Niantic was quick and the delivery staff were awesome too. We had a problem with our cable connection to the water and ice maker and they sent their repair guy Glen out within a few days. Glen arrived and fixed the problem quickly. I'm not happy as my washer which I bought at Shore appliances quit spinning the clothes. called for service they came out told us we needed two parts. Parts were ordered it took a month. Parts just came in the service guy came today and installed the parts said machine was all set. we and put in a small load to test it results were bad. the new parts did nothing to change the problem. called the service department immediately and they can't get anyone back out for a week. Another great experience with Shore! Not only are the sales people knowledgable they actually listen to what we wanted. They clearly explained appliance features and we were able to purchase and take delivery of our appliance in 2 days! They have a warehouse stocked with what they sell! Installation was extremely professional & on time. And they not only took the old appliance away, they cleaned up after themselves. No hassles like with the big box stores where we'd have to coordinate the delivery, the plumber, and the electrician. The installation technician popped the old one out, hooked up the new one, slipped it carefully into place taking care not to scratch the floor. He went over the basics of how to use and care for the appliance & made sure we knew we could always call the store for any additional questions. Why would you bother with any other store? Easy. We were scoping out new appliances, but hadn't made a commitment yet. A friend was also redoing her kitchen and spoke very highly of Shore Appliances. Then our dishwasher broke signaling it was time! After ordering everything we wanted, some orders were on back order, but we understood this was not their fault! The dishwasher was in stock, but unfortunately it didn't fit under our counter in our old house! They had a solution and took back the one that didn't fit right then. With the big hole in our kitchen counters (where the dishwasher belonged) my husband and I decided maybe it was time for new counters too! The ones we chose didn't go with the original white appliances we selected, so Jackie (without complaints) gave us a quote on stainless appliances that met our needs. My family grew up in Clinton and new Shire Tv and appliances. We were very happy to see they made there way to Groton. When our washing machine started to make noise we new there was a problem, however we kept using it until the noise was unbearable. We had Shore come in to repair. As I had expected, the repair was more than I wanted to pay for a 12 year old machine. So we replaced it at Shore TV. They have always been a great company back in Clinton. Do your homework before you go. The employee we had could not tell me when the refrigerator was made. She was inexperienced. The one thing I knew I wanted was the depth and she sold me one that was not the depth I wanted. The refrigerator is very loud. Don't bother with the service contracts. I have had them out 4 times to fix my leaking dishwasher. I was understanding up until the 3rd. Now we have bulging wood floors because every time they say it is fixed, it isn't and within 2 washes the leaking starts again. The service dept does not return messages left on the answering machine. They book the "service" calls for a week after you call them. What is the point of having a service contract if you are without the machine for weeks at a time? We have purchased several appliances from this company over the years. Never again. read more
