Anyway, armed with dimensions and pictures of my deck, knowing what direction it faced and with pictures of certain small freestanding baskets that I wanted to use, I worked with Sarah and other support staff. They helped me to pick out the perfect plants and greenery to make sure that I have a quiet and peaceful place to sit and read or BBQ and share a wonderful meal with friends and family! Also, when I am sitting in my office which overlooks the deck, I am constantly distracted by looking out the window and enjoying my plants and all of the beautiful colors. We never make it out to Lantern Hill so we didn't know it was there. What a pleasant surprise! The first worker we saw was Madeline. She was very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They have a great selection and the prices are about the same as any other garden center in our area. Their mums are healthy and beautiful. The trees, shrubs, kale, cabbage, flowers, etc. are all very well cared for. They have a small animal farm with chickens, goats, and a friendly dog named Louie. Our experience here was great and we would highly recommend Stonington Gardens on Lantern Hill Road.

I always get my bird seed here, high quality and Holdriges has specials. Checkout the pond shop. The koi fish and water plants are amazing. We ended up buying four flats of pretty pink and purple perennials @ $2.95/flat. The Raspberry Parfait Dianthus will really beautify our mailbox. They also have a store with all sorts of home decor and furnishings. Note that Coward Farms is open during the year in three distinct time periods - Spring from May 1st - July 3rd, Fall from Sept. 1st - Oct. 31st and Christmas -starting the Friday after Thanksgiving.
