He asked me to sign paperwork that was completely inaccurate in the description of the problem, and when I wouldn't , he said "I'm outta here" and left. Sears Home Repair came to perform a diagnostic on my dryer, but the technician didn't have the part. it was ordered and repair service scheduled few days later. I received multiple confirmations the day before appointment, day of appointment, during the window I was assigned multiole technicians as the estimated time of arrival drifted further and further back in the day. And then it was rescheduled to another day after I waited through the entire service window, because the part hadn't been delivered yet. Not true; the part showed delivered the night before appointment. And then it's impossible to talk to a human bein to sort out what's actually going on. They'll probably no-show again the next time. Totally unacceptable. I have a family of six and am unable to do laundry. Nightmare. Don't do business with this organization. read more

The technician arrived to do repair on my refrigerator in garage that is not working., He performed only a visual inspection, and made no repairs. He stated that the refrigerator should not be in the garage. Prior to his visit, I had already provided photos and the serial number of the unit. If this was truly an issue, I should have been informed upfront so I could cancel the appointment instead of paying out of pocket for someone to simply look at the unit without taking any action. This was extremely disappointing service, and I expect this to be addressed. I would not recommend them or do business with them again. Complete waste of time and money read more

First I was sent a technician that didn't except the plan then after I received the part they canceled the scheduled appointment twice and I couldn't speak to a person to explain having to find someone that was available from 8-5 4 times is hard if they could of at least broken it down to morning or afternoon would have helped. My washer had slightly wetter clothes at the end of the spin cycle. Technician diagnosed repair as clutch replacement and I had to buy part (which arrived at my home 2 days later) and then wait a week for technician to do repair. When the technician returned to install, he took entire washer apart and then said he did not have correct wrench to complete repair. He said earliest he could return with correct wrench was one week later. No other technician was available. When I asked for phone number of manager, technician said is no phone number available-- it is all handled through AI- which only gives you 2 options- cancel your appointment or reschedule it. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!! The technician put my washer back together BUT I RAN A LOAD AND THE WASHER SOUNDED LIKE A LAWN MOWER AND WATER WAS SPURTING UP AND OVER THE WASHER TUB/DRUM INTO SIDE OF WASHER DURING AGITATION CYCLE. I can't even get to a manager to try and resolve this not to mention that I had to pay $400 for this privilege of incompetence and a broken washer. I NEED SOMEBODY COMPETENT TO CONTACT ME TO PUT MY WASHER BACK TOGETHER PROPERLY!!! What kind of company are you?? read more

Terrible experience - stay away! Firstly, their customer service line is AI only and useless. No customer service whatsoever, extremely frustrating to deal with and get an answer on anything. Secondly, their technician that was assigned to our house came out and fixed one issue but then after he left we had a different problem with our appliance as a result. I immediately contacted customer service asking to send the same technician to follow up - but they assigned a compete different technician who had no idea how to fix the new problem and his only suggestion was to leave the refrigerator unplugged in hopes the would solve the issue, and left the house without fixing it. Now I have to call them again to get a third technician to come and hopefully find the problem. Really frustrating experience - and definitely do not recommend! read more

Sears Home Services is basically a scam company now. I've been a Sears customer for 30 years never had an issue when I had a problem with any appliances. Now you call they initially send out a tech and then never return. They set up appointments have you take off from work and never show up. I had 6 appts canceled to repair my washing machine. I'm canceling my service contact and will never purchase an agreement from this company again. BEWARE don't allow they yo talk you into purchasing. Had to give it 1 star to post to this but would give them multiple negative stars if I could. read more

I'm giving this a three star review because the two service people that showed up were excellent. However, I was supposed to have a service on Saturday and I waited four hours and then they rescheduled it two days later after I had waited. I was supposed to receive service on two different appliances and being charged one service fee and instead I got two different service people and that is not what Sears said when I had made the appointment. The service people who took the phone call to make the appointment with and never told me it was 2 service bills and 2 different people, wasting alot of my time. read more

Another scheduled technician totally WASTED my night by NO SHOWING & never CALLING to cancel! I HATE HATE HATE.... ummm did I say HATE enough??? ... AI system SAMANTHA!!! I might like her if she actually WORKED for me! Whenever I need to speak to a HUMAN I have to lie! Customer service on the phone always speaks from a canned script and often fails to give you key information! I also HATE HATE HATE being told that I can edit my appointment info for the technician and when I try to multiple times the system doesn't accept or recognize my edits!!! Therefore the phone texted directions were simply a huge waste of time! For these reasons I don't think I will remain with Sear protection plan very much longer. Whoever is currently running the Sears repair plan business seems to be dead from the neck up-completely numb & dumb to what's actually broken with this business and the abysmal quality of service provided in key areas! Fraudulent charges and no support from the company. The technician showed up 2 1/2 hours late. He sat in the driveway for 30 minutes saying he was on break and refused to come in. When he came in the house, he was there for less than five minutes. He copied the serial number for my refrigerator, but did not actually otherwise inspected. He then proceeded to tell me, without any sort of inspection evaluation, what was wrong with my fridge, that it would cost more than buying a new fridge. He refused to leave unless he was paid money. I called to complain and was passed along at a call center to various different representatives who all contradicted each other. I was told I would get a second visit free of charge, but then was sent an invoice for the second visit prior to it occurring. I was charged for services that were not performed. Do not use SEARS home services under any circumstances. What used to be a reliable brand name is now essentially a scam company unable to stand by the barest modicum of quality. read more

Not only was it quick and easy to request a service tech, but Alex was assigned to my trouble. He called with half hour notice so I had time to prep for him. He arrived and determined the issue rather quickly (broken belt). Although he didn't have the part on his truck, he called local supply stores, went to pick it up and returned to get my dryer working again same day. Alex was really great and patient as I juggled work calls and him. Labor pricing is a little high, but expected with the inflated costs of everything these days. Labor ~$300 and parts ~40 for the belt replacement. read more

The part was here in 2 days WOW. He scheduled a follow appointment to install the piece and the door was fixed. What a WOW experience I had with Vincent from Sears Home Services and the value of my plan and the amount I paid for my deductible. Also it was done the day before Thanksgiving.
