Everyone that I had encountered during this process is extremely professional and helpful in answering any questions and concerns. The customer service after the install is definitely what it should be after a sale. Troy and Tyler who did the install came on time and was able to get started as soon as they arrived and did not break until the job was completed. Noticed that evening the water was not as hot as it was earlier and called for service and they sent out Art the repairman first thing the following morning. He was very patient as he troubled shoot the problem for several hours. Come to find wires that lead to one of the thermostats. I would presume it was like looking for a needle in a haystack. Regardless he worked on it until he found the problem. If anyone is considering to have any work done, I would highly recommend them and will be coming back to them when it is time to replace our A/C unit

I followed their advice. When the tech got to my house about an hour later, the ice had melted and dripped onto the furnace. The tech said my FURNACE was ruined and I needed a new 8k one! He took pix of the water and said "the whole thing is rusted" ( How does something rust in an hour??) Now our furnace was only a year old- under warranty- and we needed to get a second opinion. We called another company who fixed the problem for $100 and a new thermostat for $30. The second company said although there was a little water it did not cause the problem. Water had nothing to do with the problem. Problem was that my thermostat was not communicating well with the system. We also needed a new "board." This was under warranty. The entire system is working perfectly. WK is charging us $180 for the service call! We have received emails asking when we will go forward with the replacement!!!! We called WK today and spoke with the service manager who stood by WK's very incorrect evaluation. We feel that our reasonable complaint fell on deaf ears. WK was full of excuses. Watch out!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! We will pay their bill but with protest.

A heating and AC check up has been on my task list for the better part of 1 year. It quickly moved…read moreto the top when my AC stopped working, because dealing with 90+ degree temperatures is no joke. I decided to call Clarkstown Heating & Air Conditioning based on two things: Seeing their trucks driving around Rockland County all the time, and positive online reviews stressing their professionalism, promptness, and honesty. It was a pleasure scheduling, from the polite office staff, to the confirmation call that my tech was on the way, to the actual appointment with my technician Randolph. Randolph, an energetic and polite young man, greeted me with a firm handshake, and friendly smile. He confirmed the job scope, and price, and got to work and diagnosed the problem, and immediately solved it! He also gave me a tutorial, based on the questions I was asking, on how to use my existing system more efficiently, how best to set each thermometer, and when and how to change air filters if / when I wanted to do it myself. I'm satisfied with my service, and hope my 2nd appointment later this week (for a separate issue) goes as well. I was charged $109.00 + tax for the AC Diagnostic Check.

Buyer Beware: Outrageous Pricing for Basic Repairs I am…read moreincredibly disappointed with Clarkstown Heating & Air Conditioning. My AC capacitor went out on a hot Friday, and I contacted them looking for a prompt repair. While the technician who arrived was professional, the billing was completely predatory. They charged me $685 plus tax to replace a single dual capacitor. This is a basic 30-minute job, and the high-end universal part they used costs under $100 retail. The standard market rate for this repair in Rockland County tops out around $350 to $450. Charging nearly $700 for a simple part swap is an extreme, unconscionable markup. There are plenty of honest, local HVAC professionals in our area who charge fair market rates. I will never use this company again, and I strongly advise other Rockland County homeowners to look elsewhere unless you want to be severely overcharged.

Let me start by saying that I was referred to Coles of Washingtonville by someone who works for…read moreanother local large plumbing company, (nameless), who stated that they, the other company, were over priced and that they didn't agree with their pricing. The other company wanted to charge me over $2200 to replace my expansion tank, pressure relief valve, and purge my gas boiler. I was dumbfounded. I visited Coles and explained to the nice young lady at the desk what I needed done and about the other plumber. She told me yes, they were cheaper, and the following day, she sent me a quote. My jaw dropped on how much cheaper Coles was charging. Chris came over. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained everything that he was going to do before doing anything to the boiler. If he ran into a hiccup, he would inform me before doing anything. I really appreciated that. He considered me and not do whatever without discussing it with me. Chris replaced several valves, replaced the expansion tank, cleaned the boiler, replaced a thermostat, and purged the boiler and the cost was much less than half of what the other company wanted to charge me. Coles was honest, reasonable, professional, courteous. If only more businesses were like that. May God bless abundantly the Coles business, their families, everyone who works for them. And may they continue their business from generation to generation. I definitely recommend Cole's of Washingtonville.
