Walter is an incompetent employee. It's been a month since he came out to my house to fix a glass top burner that wasn't working. After a no call no show appointment and I had to reschedule due to sears complete lack of courtesy. When he finally did show up he barely looked at the stove. Didn't ask any questions. Ordered the part. And got my claim denied for my oven door that was broken internally. He ordered the part a week later it came it. I had an appointment to install the part Walter was a no call no show. The reliability of this company is serous lacking, especially when people have to take off work to wait hours and you don't show up. We finally aligned for an appoint on 29 June 24 with an appointment time if 1-5 pm. I got a text at 2:05pm asking if someone was home. Which I was home but because I didn't respond to him in a time manner when I replied 45m later. Walter stated he left the area. Then closed my repair and domain I had to call my home warranty. My appoint time was 1-5, it's a Walter problem he left the area and didn't bother to show up to my house AT ALL!!! Left with little option and needing my stove I go to replace the part and WALTER ORDERED THE WRONG PART!! Complete failure at your job....and probably should seek employment somewhere more suited to his education level. May 31 is when the part was ordered and Jun 29 was when he canceled my repair. Hi my name is Sabrina Coker. I have a Maytag washer and is was great when I bought it. Great price and everything but I have good it about 1-1/2years and it started not recognizing the rinse cycle, and starting the cycle and we noticed the water would stop filling and start imediately washing. It was literally binding up/wadding up my clothes due to lack almost no water in the machine. We called for service and it took a little time to get someone but they came and the service tech was very nice but the aweful part of waiting for parts nightmere began. This stated in September and did not conclude until November and it still is leaking a little on top of everything else. At this point they have been out at least 3times and I just want a new washer. It is under warranty and I'm so over it. At one point a different tech showed up and didn't even know why he was there and yet another part had to be ordered and it was a Sears technician and I purchased the washer from Best Buy. He has not ID badge and did not know ....and was about to charge me a service fee of ?$100 +$. He went to the truck and found an order but a part still have to be ordered for the same issue. At that point I spent $120 and the laundry matt and we had 2 deaths in the family and out of town quest!!! I wanted to scream! The service was whatever but I really just want a new washer and I don't think I would buy it from them. Gregory was great. He diagnosed the problem, got the part and installed it. He explained the problem to me an excellent job. The Sears system has a huge problem. After waiting a week for the new part to arrive and have our new appointment set, we were sent a text at 9:45 am that we were next on the techs schedule. 30 minutes later, I got a text that we were being rescheduled to the next Tuesday. After almost an hour trying to get through to a person to explain how this could happen, we were told that the technician was over scheduled And we had to be rescheduled to the next week. This didn't make sense to me so I was able to get in touch with the technician. He told me the reason was actually because it was raining and he couldn't work on an outside unit while it's raining. Tech was great completed all work in a timely manner. The issue is the 0800 to 1700 (5PM) window in which they will arrive. a 4 hour window would definitely have resulted in 5 stars. But having to take 3 days off work 1. for initial visit to evaluate the issue, 2. to fix then cancel at the end of the day and 3. to arrive and complete the work. Three lost days of work at $65.00 an hour is a significant loss in wages for anyone and is completely unacceptable in any industry. read more

Recently purchased a house for our family. Had several issues with some appliances that Sears was supposed to send a technician out to repair. On their initial visit, they sent one tech who stated "I don't have the parts" and left after four minutes. All the parts have now been sitting on our kitchen counter for over a week. Rescheduled for the following Friday. Waited all day, no technician. Went to the website and spoke with an agent through their website's chat. Now they've rescheduled for the following week, and we can't move into our beautiful new house because of the ineptitude and laziness of this technician. I would say use another service. read more

Alex was great. He fixed the issue of a damaged water filter that had been installed by tech in March. The damage caused by the water collecting since March in our crawl space will require major repair of beams. However, this was the fourth scheduled appointment with the prior three being "no shows". My experience scheduling an appointment has been beyond frustrating with my having to stay home and wait for techs three times in two weeks. The people I spoke with each time to report the issues were helpless to explain why a tech was not showing up and kept sending it to the "Escalation Team" to no avail. I have been a customer of Sears Home Services for over 50 years and this was the worst experience I've had with them and will not renew my contract when it expires in November, 2024. Rob deserves 5 stars so that is why I selected 5. Rob made the first visit and let us know we needed two parts. He ordered them. A different repair person came the next time and was not helpful and did not repair the water/ice maker feature. Rob eventually returned and fixed the problem. The process was far too long and did not instill confidence in us to use Sears ever again. It wasn't personal at all and while the texts are helpful they do not replace a person. read more

We told you three times prior to coming that the refrigerator stops cooling and only by turning off and then back on will it restart. Then run for an indeterminate amount of time. We told you it was running at that time, I've done troubleshooting for over 40 years on mechanical items. What I described was a problem that has been found to show up on other same make and model refrigerators, and their is a troubleshooting decision tree as to what part would cause cooling to stop and only start again once temp control switch cycled off and then back on. Your technician did not look that up and take appropriate action. NOW I still have an unreliable refrigerator and freezer... and with the cost of food I will lose alot of money next time this happens and food spoils! Your technician wasted a visit because he did nothing since he found it working. If you want us to call only after it has stopped working and not to reset it you should have said so when we first called. Poor call screening 3 times before technician showed up. And your technician was upset with us when he showed up unannounced in the morning when we had an afternoon appointment. Next time send a better technician!!!!! I have to say Sears repair services were unprofessional. I went Christmas, all the way to January 19, 2024 without a refrigerator. The first appointment they diagnos the issue December 23 and ordered the part to be installed January 5 th. January 5 th came and the installer didn't have the tools to install a compressor and rescheduled for January 11. January 11 came and they said the installer had an emergency and couldn't make the appointment. totally unacceptable... I had to take off every single time with a re- schedule date and and hours between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. so, unprofessional in my book with no apologies and no call back. Our technician was not the problem. He was very nice. The problem is that I was asked what the issue was with my oven and model number before The technician was scheduled to come out so that he could bring parts if necessary. I told them it was a bad igniter. The technician got to the house and told me they would have to order the part for $169 and labor would be $299. They could've told me that over the phone. Scheduling the initial diagnostic was easy... after that EVERYTHING has been a nightmare. Had an appointment from 8-12 for repair, my repair technician did not show up for the appointment and I was never notified. And they make it extremely hard to contact a live person You have to manipulate the phone tree to set up a new repair just to discuss your current repair with a live person. Then You get transferred to another division. (None of them can speak good English) They are literally no help. The phone rep just reads off their dummy card. They refused to connect me to a manager saying they can't reach my cell phone because I am currently on the line with them. They get you to hang up and never reach out. This organization is the biggest sham and the absolute worst retail experience I have ever dealt with. I will be contacting the my credit card fraud department over this if it doesn't get resolved. Greetings, Cinch Home Warranty Services dispatched a Sears Technician to my residence to repair the heating system. The Tech (he) was incompetent! He was fixated on my AC unit and subsequent to two trips at my home he didn't realize the heating air handler system was under my house. My family and I have been without heat for nine days in February! I contacted Cinch regarding the aforementioned and requested a refund of my deductible and it was NOT granted. According to Cinch, since the Tech came out (three days after the initial call) and did a diagnoses on my AC and not the heating system, Im not entitled to a refund. I totally disagree with their decision because I am still without heat, the Tech failed to check the heating system and no work was ever performed. The technician diagnosed the control board ($199) as faulty. I replaced the control board and the same problem persisted. When I looked underneath the washing machine I noted oil on the floor. I reinstalled the original control board, replaced the capacitor ($35), and the machine now operates normally. I think paying a $109.00 service fee to have the wrong part diagnosed as faulty is a little steep. read more

I have a Frigidaire refrigerator, still under an extended warranty by New Leaf, that needed a follow-up repair, but I had to wait for some parts to come in. When all of the parts finally arrived at my home, Ted from Sears Home Services, who had done the previous repair on my fridge, came back over right away to fix the problem I was continuing to have. It turned out to be a faulty heater. It's been a couple of days and everything seems fine now. Ted is very professional, genuinely friendly, and explains the repairs he does in a way that is easy for even the technically-challenged to understand. Zero star review...Sears has been wasting our time for almost 7 weeks, I would never choose to use them, but my washer from EC Appliance is under warranty and that's who they contract with. The same tech has been out 4 times and still not repaired the washer. On his last visit, he promised the additional parts needed would arrive within the week and to call him right away and he would return that day to install. The parts took over a week to arrive and once they did, we contacted him as he asked and he said he was away at training. Instead of handing the job off or having a representative reach out to us, he simply gave the 1-800 which is all automated and never gives you a chance to speak to a live agent. So we had to wait for the appointment they assigned on today 3/30 just for Sears to call today and cancel due to the tech having an emergency. Its unfortunate and emergencies do occur, but again Sears sucks and failed to do what was right for the customer. Another tech or supervisor should have stepped in and come to complete the work, but instead we were dumped back into the automated system and given an appointment for 4/9. Sears repair was easy to schedule and FAST in our case- scheduled the same day online for a 8am-12pm service window. Texts sent to notify us when the technician was on his way. Technician was following COVID CDC guidelines and quick to diagnose our dryer issue (lack of heat). He arranged for the part required to be dropped off and we had a working dryer 40min after the part arrived. All in all a good experience-cost is more on the expensive side- $119 diagnostic fee which was almost half of the repair. read more
