Don't bring your vehicle here worst customer service ever! I made my appointment online at 10 am and didn't get out till 12pm just for a oil change! It would've been longer if it wasn't because i went to the front to check if my truck was there which it was!! It was sitting out there done for almost 30 minutes!! Russ (the manager) came to my rescue today. My car wouldn't start, I was stranded in the parking lot of the mall. I walked over the Sears, and the guys up there were so nice! Russ was able to get my car started, and brought it over To The shop to check the battery. It wasn't the battery, it was the starter. I know, nightmare. Well, he was able to get me taken care of, and get my car into the shop to be worked on first thing in the morning. He stayed late to take care of me. Him, and Keven, helped me out, and stayed past closing to get all the paperwork done. They truly saved me today, and made my bad day a fantastic one!! Not all heros wear capes. Recently I had my tire plugged/patched at another tire shop. Within a week of the repair, the tire was loosing air suddenly to the point of going from 35+psi to 6psi. Since this is unsettling when you go in a store with air in your tire and come out to nothing left, I took it back to the other tire shop. The guy looked at me like I lost my mind and said he couldn't find anything wrong with the tire or wheel and I must be mistaken. Frustrated I left only to have it happen again. This time, I called Sears in Mesquite. Asked if they had time to look at my tire and they told me come on in. I got to Sear Auto in Mesquite about 11am. Russ, the store manager, helped me right away. They took my car back, looked it over and found nothing wrong with the actual tire from the outside. He told me they were going to take it off the wheel and make sure that EVERYTHING was all good. Less than 30 minutes later they had found some corrosion around the heading of the wheel where the tire meets up with it. They cleaned it all up, fixed the beading, reset the tire and I was on my way. Russ explained everything to me and made sure I understood. It was awesome for someone to not just brush me off and tell me I had to be wrong about my tire. Since I've had my car back, I've had no issue with the tire pressure at all. I even made an emergency trip for a funeral and it held beautifully!! Thank you to Russ for helping me and being patient with finding the issue. read more

On May 20 I noticed nail in my tire. I called and spoke to Kevin. I knew that store was closing in 30 minutes. Kevin told me to come on in and they would take care of me. I owe the team that was working on this day. They worked 1 1/2 hours late that day to help me and several other customers. I owe Kevin and Steve at service desk a 5 star plus for customer service. This store has been my go to place. Also the Elizabeth technician that patched my tire. All of staff that day had very positive attitude. What I expected and more!!! Manager Kevin Page exceeded the level of service by a vast margin, especially in that I swore three years ago never to return to Sears for auto service ever again after the egrigous disingenuious behavior of the manager at the Valley View location (no wonder that location was shut down). But the warranty on my Diehard battery brought me back with great reluctance. Although the battery had exceeded it's guarantee by over 50 percent, Kevin found prorated discounts that saved me 25 percent below his original quote. AND he got the job finished faster than quoted. Even though the location is inconvenient, it looks like I'll be returning for the alignment that was recommended, simply for the great service.. read more

Horrible. ...just needed a battery changed out. Was not told how long it would take. After 30 minutes of waiting I looked into their shop. My truck is sitting with the hood up but nobody is around it. After 30 more minutes I look again. Nothing has changed. So I have now sat for an hour. I go to the front to complain. The customer service guy goes to the back. After he does this I notice a service man jumped right on my truck. After another 10 minutes it's done. Horrible. The customer service guy said.... did I not tell you how long it would be? I replied no....cause if you had said over an hour I would have left... This is actually the second bad experience I've had here. While I'm at the counter complaining I hear another lady beside complaining about sears not calling her when they said they would and she had to take off work. I strongly suggest you don't waste your time and take your vehicle to some other place!!! read more

This place is good for oil changes, tires, & batteries - in other words just the basics. They do not perform any major engine work (starters, alternator, gaskets, etc) . The staff is friendly & courteous. read more

I went to Sears Auto in mesquite Texas for new tires , all went well , but there was a slight error on the paperwork .... STEVE ROBLEDO was my service attendant , he remedied the error quickly , easily , courteously , and without any hassle whatsoever .... It was a small mistake that was probably not a big deal , but I simply wanted my paperwork to be accurate , and he was very gracious about it , with a "customer comes first" attitude ..... Thanks Steve , I appreciate it , and I give Steve 5 stars , but Sears gets 4 this time around .... maybe next time ..... Not even 1 star! Husband went there today, his battery light was on. Turned out it was his alternator! They said it would be 1 hour! Turned out they didn't have the alternator after 2 hours! Put the old one back in! He's driving home hopefully we can get to a better shop tomorrow ! What ever you do , do not go to Sears at Town East Mall!,,, there's a reason Sears will not be around in the next year!!!! read more

I gave this biz a 4 star, simply because they do good work. However, I don't use them anymore and won't use them if another reputable place is available. The reason is that they diagnose your vehicle and add about 50 things they can do to it, that are not really needed. I called a guy there, Steve, for a quote on a complete brake job. He gave me two quotes. One with reg brakes that squeak and one with premium brakes that don't, his words. He quoted $421 total for a premium brake job on 4 wheels. When I went there, the diagnosis went up to $1600. I took it to a place on the way home and got my brake job for $304. My back rotors don't need replacing for another 6mos so I got just pads on the back and replaced the front rotors and pads. With some wisdom, I saved a whole lot of money. I think Sears does good work but they try to nickel and dime you. You can get the job done for far less elsewhere. Trust me on this. I'm living proof. read more
