The first session was simply a conversation with the trainer solely for the purposes of learning what was important to me so they could tailor not just the workouts, but also ways to help me feel inspired as a whole person. That made me feel so special. The trainers were sure to respect and be mindful of what could seemingly be small details but were important me. That for me is priceless! The physical space itself is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It was designed with so much intentionality that it made the workout sessions even more enjoyable. The small group sessions are lovely. They aren't overstimulating and that was key for me. Every workout session left me feeling inspired, encouraged and renewed not just physically but mentally & emotionally. Lastly, Dani, the owner and founder, is an absolute PLEASURE to do business with and her passion for mind and body fitness is evident. She wants every client to get what they need to feel empowered. She makes herself accessible and easy to communicate with either by phone, email or text. As a nurse leader, I am deeply appreciative of what she has created at Very Personal Training and will continue to do support her business not only with my own personal training but also with group training events that I will host for my clinical team and friends. This place is truly one of a kind!

If I did not choose this gym, I don't think I would have stuck through with my fitness journey…read more Point-blank and simple. When I first wanted to start working out, I was fairly uncomfortable with the idea of being in a huge gym and having to work out in front of people. I looked for a long time to find a space that was close to me that offered privacy. Sevenbell was one of those gyms, and while it was a little inconvenient to get to from my location, I decided to give it a try. I believe it was one of the best decisions I made. The gym is always spotless, never crowded, and I always felt comfortable in the space. When I went here (I no longer live in the area and have since changed gyms) I actually looked forward to coming every day, because I knew I would not have to sit around and wait for a machine to be free, or have to deal with rude people making noise and slamming weights. If you are like me and are looking for a gym that is clean, quiet, and accepting of everyone no matter where they are on their fitness journey, then this is the place for you. It is well worth the price and I could not be happier with the time I had spent there. Also, the personal trainers are amazing. I worked with Jesse while I was there, and I felt he did a great job with giving me a foundation to work with in my personal workouts. Cam (who is like 6'5 and looks like The Hulk after he transforms) walked by me one day and mentioned that I looked bigger, and that my form was good. It felt like I won the lottery :)

Gashford's training sessions mix Muay Thai and regular weight lifting with some cardio. In only a couple months, I feel much stronger and have noticed increased focus and energy during the day after each session. He also has helped with meal planning and explains the science behind his workouts which i really appreciate. I've never really seen more than 10-15 people in the facility at a time, and as someone who hates big gyms, it's a super welcoming environments for complete newbies like myself. Perfect place and trainer if you're looking to mix up your workouts and create a real life style change!

The space: Its cozy, simple, clean and still smells new…read more It's designed to make you feel like you're the only girl/boy in the world with your dedicated trainer. I'm impressed at how efficient and configurable Nate has made this space. I hardly notice when he's setting up to have me work on the next thing. That said the equipment is basic enough that you can replicate the routines at any commercial gym. The Trainer: Nate knows his stuff! First of all I blew my lower back out doing burpees in a kickboxing class due to the recommended form. My partner who also trains with him recommended Nate to me. So we met and right away Nate evaluated me and built a 4 day workout plan that I can do on my own. Additionally, he's corrected everything I've done wrong for years and helped me isolate muscles to maximize the effectiveness of the workout. He's also introduced me to amino acids (I know...basic stuff, but not to me) he also taught me a lot of new challenging stuff and makes sure I keep up with my diaphragm exercises to strengthen my back. So far my results have been great (lost 12lbs, increased muscle mass) which is a bit of a mind trip because I'm never tired or in pain! Above all, Nate is very personable and charming! I've seen him flex his communication style to work with people all over the spectrum (a business man at heart). He's also in great shape which is aspirational and I guess what you'd want in a personal trainer. I haul my developing buns of steel 18 blocks to train with Nate, he's been worth every penny, I doubt you'll be disappointed!

And trust me, this phase of my life was not the "young, motivated, can't-wait-to-work-out" era. When I first walked into Len's studio, I was tired, unmotivated, and feeling a little too comfortable in my fluff. Somehow, he met me exactly where I was and still got results. Before we even talk training, let's talk about the studio. It is sleek, spotless, and beautifully equipped with everything you actually need. No chaos, no crowds, no side-eyes. Just a clean, private space that instantly puts you at ease. It smells amazing, it's immaculately maintained, and most importantly, it feels safe. Len is a true professional. No weird vibes, no pressure, no ego. Just focused, respectful, all-business energy that lets you relax and do the work. What started as "let me try this for a month or two" turned into consistent training twice a week for nearly nine months. That alone says everything. Len helped me rebuild strength, energy, and confidence without running me into the ground or forcing workouts I dreaded. My clothes fit better, my stamina is up, and I feel like myself again. I still have goals ahead, but thanks to Len, I'm back in the game and moving forward the right way. If you're looking for a trainer who prioritizes safety, delivers real results, and works out of a clean, private studio where you can truly focus on yourself, Len is it. Period.

I told and warned him I was in a very unwell physical condition and that's why I was seeking professional guidance, but he pushed me to the point where I was too fatigued to continue my workout and threw up. Still, I wanted to give it a shot because I was desperate to become healthier. But very shortly after I had to go to LA for work, and ended up staying here indefinitely. I am not sure when I will be coming back to New York. I asked Len if he would be willing to provide a refund given the circumstances, but he didn't even respond. I followed up asking for any response, even if it was going to be a no. I also called and emailed him, but he has completely ignored all my attempts to contact him. By the way, he never said that refunds are not allowed and that private training lessons expire after X months. I also never signed anything. I simply sent him money through Venmo because I trusted him and assumed business would be conducted in good faith. Even in the texts he agreed to a pause. You can call me naive or whatever, but I've never had issues with verbal agreements (which are legally binding) with past trainers. Lesson learned. I am posting this so no one else has to go through this and lose well over a thousand dollars. There is another review like this. After seeing this type of behavior from a business, I wouldn't even want to engage anymore. Screenshots posted for transparency.

It is a…read morevery small space to work out in so be prepared for sharing machines & weights that are limited. I had paid for a training package with one particular trainer who was recommended to me by a friend. He seemed like a cool guy, and he knew what he was doing for sure. By my second appointment I learned that one-on-one training wasn't true here: that walking off to go train someone across the room who isn't there for a training session seemed really odd. People/clients could easily see this as unprofessional & inconsiderate after paying for personal one on one training in full to only have 3/4 of their attention. That is absurd. Whether you're a newbie or a professional body builder- your paid training sessions is YOUR paid TIME. In all of my years of utilizing personal trainers I had never experienced such a thing at any other gym. I was confused, and asked about it. He told me that's how he rolls. He was not only late several times for my training sessions, but he didn't make up the time on the back end. The he stopped showing up. Seriously. He owed me two more sessions that were paid for in full. At $80 per session that's $160 that he stole essentially. Travis was his name. I don't know if he still trains there, but I had asked my friend what heck was going on with this trainer whom he highly recommended to me. My friend said that I apparently demasculated him by asking about the dual training with others that he just didn't want to train with me anymore. The guy's the size of a man truck but my inquiry over shared training time that was not a part of my package cut his ego so deeply that he resorted to such petty thievery by essentially stealing money by skipping services paid for. How gross. Incapable of a professional and mature discussion so instead he ghosted me and took my money. Fact. I would never recommend going here or training with someone so uncool, unprofessional, petty, and definitely immature. It was a shitty experience for someone who's friendly to a fault! I was nothing but kind to the guy, and was always friendly. It's what made his treatment of me so shocking. The experience was several years ago! This gym popped up in my Yelp search for training, and I am only just writing this up now! ?
