There is a nice parking lot behind the building that is covered and ample on street parking. Stepping in through the front doors, we were greeted by a lovely hostess who was very friendly, seating us almost immediately. The dining room and outside seating looked very intimate and cozy, but we sat in the lounge with the bar which is more our vibe. The seats were comfy and service prompt and friendly. We order the calamari and dang was it good! Large portion and full of flavor! Definitely recommend! Next we each got salads; standard salad with the recommend creamy dressing (forgot the name) by the waitress and a Cesar salad, both were large for side salads and full of flavor. Finally, my wife got the filet medium well and I got the snapper. Yes, anything over medium may be butterflied but hers was not and she loved it! My red snapper was good but the spices were slightly over powering. Cocktails were on point; espresso martini for the wife which was very creamy and an old fashion for me. The atmosphere was cozy and moody for a Friday night and will definitely be back.

The had a small food menu (but it had a nice variety of options) and also had a Valentine's Day special three course option. I started with the crab rangoon nachos. The initially forgot to put the crab on them, but it was quickly remedied. The combination of flavors was perfect. I had a burger and it was good as well. My husband chose the Valentine's special which came with a salad, pasta dish and chocolate cake. I like that they have both beer and seltzer that they make. I sampled a few beers but ultimately ordered a pear seltzer. My husband had the Oktoberfest. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall, we had a wonderful experience.

Our waitress was super great and gave us some ideas on what to order since it was our first visit. Ended up getting the Good Burger and a side of their spaghetti with marinara. The burger fixins were similar to the Golden Arch namesake double burger but soooooo much more meat. It was so ridiculously huge with two patties of burger stacked an inch plus thick that I took one burger off to eat later. The burger with pickles and sauce were just right and plenty of diced tomatoes and lettuce offered some respite from the meat extravaganza. It was a good burger for sure. The marinara on the spaghetti is a little watery but absolutely delicious. I really liked the flavors. This is a nice local place with tons of PA beers on tap. We'll be back at dinner sometime to try those.

However, on a Sunday night when it is only the second place in the area that is open prior to a show at The Palace Theatre, if the aforementioned things do not bother you and you're just looking for a quick bite and a drink, then this is a place for you. From the outside, if you're not a local, it looks like one of those places you might be afraid to open the door to ... but do not be deterred. Inside it is a little dark and obviously it'll be smoky if people are smoking (thankfully they were not the night that I stopped in), but everyone was friendly. And actually they had more things on the finger food menu than I anticipated, albeit your classic bar finger foods like pepperoni rolls, provolone sticks & what I ordered-fish & chips. And honestly, the fish and chips were a lot better than I expected them to be, it was a very large piece of fried fish, and it was not too greasy and a nice side of steak fries. Their cocktail sauce was more like a Sriracha mayo type cocktail sauce, but I actually preferred that to the traditional and I got some tartar sauce on the side as well. I did feel bad for the female bartender, because she was staffing the entire place, which not only included the bar, but the tables, and it was very hard for her to keep up. Obviously management failed to realize that there was a sold out show at the theater on Sunday night and that hardly any other places were open Sunday night. I had 3 Tito's & sodas and the fish & chips & my tab was only $24. I left a generous tip because I felt bad for the bartender. I would definitely stop in again especially if I was just gonna grab a pre-show drink. Oh & the music was great too. Reminded me of a true late 70's-80's bar.
