Went to Scooby's on Wednesday for the burger special an it didn't disappoint. Good food, good drinks and a lively crowd.

Mr. Toad's is an old school dive bar that serves a limited food menu, and allows smoking! So right…read morethere that may be a turn off to quite a few people. However, on a Sunday night when it is only the second place in the area that is open prior to a show at The Palace Theatre, if the aforementioned things do not bother you and you're just looking for a quick bite and a drink, then this is a place for you. From the outside, if you're not a local, it looks like one of those places you might be afraid to open the door to ... but do not be deterred. Inside it is a little dark and obviously it'll be smoky if people are smoking (thankfully they were not the night that I stopped in), but everyone was friendly. And actually they had more things on the finger food menu than I anticipated, albeit your classic bar finger foods like pepperoni rolls, provolone sticks & what I ordered-fish & chips. And honestly, the fish and chips were a lot better than I expected them to be, it was a very large piece of fried fish, and it was not too greasy and a nice side of steak fries. Their cocktail sauce was more like a Sriracha mayo type cocktail sauce, but I actually preferred that to the traditional and I got some tartar sauce on the side as well. I did feel bad for the female bartender, because she was staffing the entire place, which not only included the bar, but the tables, and it was very hard for her to keep up. Obviously management failed to realize that there was a sold out show at the theater on Sunday night and that hardly any other places were open Sunday night. I had 3 Tito's & sodas and the fish & chips & my tab was only $24. I left a generous tip because I felt bad for the bartender. I would definitely stop in again especially if I was just gonna grab a pre-show drink. Oh & the music was great too. Reminded me of a true late 70's-80's bar.

It seemed like it was a complete burden for him to pour a simple beer. They also did not have any clean glasses, so we had to reuse our glasses on our second round. Have never seen something like this in a bar. Ended up at this place because there was nothing else open at the time, but would just avoid at all costs if I was end up in late night Greensburg again in the future.

It's a huge piece of hand breaded white fish on the most delicate homemade roll. You can ask for toppings such as tomatoe, onion, and lettuce, if you'd like. The homemade tarter sauce my be all you need. Their hand cut fries are very reminiscent of Kennywood's potato patch fries, which is a good thing. Otherwise, we love this bar for the amazing service, karaoke nights (every Thursday and every other Saturday), and reasonable prices. This is basically the only bar we frequent.

The bottom floor is an old style bar, but was very comfy. The upstairs had the dining room, which consisted of about 6-7 tables with a room to the right that housed a pool table and dart board. When we first entered, I wasn't sure if the place would work, since we had our kids. The server took us up to the dining area. She was friendly and attentive. My daughter and I both ordered hoagies, which were as wide as they were. She got the Italian and I got a Roast Beef Bomber. You can choose from chips, fresh cut fries, or fresh cut sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries come with a sweet sauce. My son got chicken tenders, which were fine. My wife ordered the Irish Nachos, which contained no chips. It was fries with shredded beef and beer cheese. She was not a fan, but I think that was on her for ordering that.

I was in the area and decided to check it out. I appreciate a smoking bar that isn't a big cloud of smoke. Well ventilated so that is always a plus. There's a rustic feel to the bar which works well with the dive bar atmosphere. For a small bar they have a nice craft beer selection. I got a nice vibe from the customers at and around the bar. A nice local, small town feel. I didn't feel out of place at all and could see myself visiting again soon!

The regulars are friendly, the bartenders are attentive, and the prices are very reasonable. You can tell it's the kind of spot where locals have been coming for years, but newcomers are made to feel comfortable too. It has that old-school charm without feeling run-down, which is rare. The lighting makes it easy to relax and actually see what's going on, and the place is kept tidy compared to a lot of smoky bars. It's not a fancy place, but it doesn't try to be--it's just a solid, straightforward bar where you can grab a cheap drink, chat with people, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. If you're looking for a polished cocktail lounge, this isn't it. But if you want a classic neighborhood tavern that feels safe, friendly, and easygoing, Krick's is a great choice.
