First time visiting Edisto and decided to try this cute cafe. So glad we did! It was the best Oyster Po Boy I have ever had! The sandwich was packed with delicious lightly fried melt in your mouth oysters. My dad got the burger with fries and said it was super yummy as well. Tried this place today. Food was good however I felt like the staff hurried us to make decisions and check out more than anything. We had 3 different people wait on us and another who checked us out but wouldn't leave the table till I left a tip on the card. Probably won't be back. Came in for lunch. Outside seating on a nice day. Had Chicken Curry sandwich, veggie melt, shrimp Po boy and the bacon cheeseburger. We had fries, coleslaw and green beans as sides. Everything was very good. The shrimp on the po boy were amazing. The chicken curry and veggie melt were amazing. The burger was good but nothing special. The last time we were here the service was poor. Today it was great! We will come back to try breakfast. read more

It's a family tradition to have breakfast at least once at the Seacow Eatery on each of our visits to Edisto Beach. This year was no exception, but this time I'm a yelper. I had the "Moo La La" french toast with a generous topping of crushed pecans and a side of link sausage. I couldn't name the elongated bread they used but it was perfect and had a subtle crunch to the outside. The links were very mild but not flavorless (I do prefer a stronger sage style personally). My wife had a ham/egg/cheese biscuit which she enjoyed. My daughter had the short stack pancakes and their darker color indicated a possibly whole wheat batter was used. I tried them and they were not mealy and had a good flavor. Drinks are a la carte, so my Diet Coke was served in a can with a cup of ice & lemon wedge. My wife had coffee and my daughter had water and the total was about $30. The inside is small and tables are packed in. You'll definitely hear you neighbor's conversation. The patio is about the same side as inside, with half of it picnic tables under umbrellas and the other half screened in. The staff were moderately friendly with a hint of detachment. Service was good and the place was clean. They also sell a large assortment of pies. Definitely a decent place at a decent price considering they've got a captive audience of tourists in a remote location. read more

This is our first time on Edisto Island so I took a friends advice and went to the and man Stclair You were right. The breakfast menu has any thing you could want from Biscuits and Gravy to Yogurt and Granola. They have a 6 egg omelet with every topping they put in an Omelet in it. Well I opted out for that one I had 2 eggs over easy, cheese grits, a crabcakes, bacon, and a biscuit. First off EVERYTHING was cooked perfectly. I have had great crab cakes from Florida to low Country S.C. Even on of my chef friends makes one that's AWESOME. WELL compared to the one I had today I had never had a great one. The best flavored c.c. I have ever had. Beautiful cooked. So tender. Next to no filler, but the seeded Jalapeno and a few spices. With the stone ground grits and some egg yoke, it make have been the most perfect bite I have ever had. I now know what I would want for my last meal. It was that good. Do your self and your tastebuds a favor and come try this. It would bring a tear to this old man's eye. I don't want to go out for breakfast tomorrow unless I can go back. read more

Just a fabulous little spot! Super cool outdoor seating, great staff, fabulous menu selection. One of the best places in all of Charleston area to experience. Food all tasted excellent- true Southern cooks made these meals. Highly recommend even if you have to take a little extra time to get there. I did not eat dinner there but others in our vacationing group did. They all were highly impressed and all agreed they'd return. Kudos to this great little spot! read more

To get a crab cake po boy and a shrimp PO boy and 2 ice teas. ****The outer deck has maybe 4 tables you may eat your to-go food on. The place needs to be cleaned/spruced up. After a day at the beach, we stopped by SeaCow Eatery to grab a bite to eat. It was a beautiful sunny day out, so we opted to sit on the patio. I'm from Minnesota, so getting a few extra rays is always a plus. I got a Corona and my boyfriend got a Yuengling Lager beer to quench our thirst. As for our entrees, I got the Flounder Po' Boy ($12.95) with a side of fries and my boyfriend got the Philly Steak Sandwich ($10.95) with a side of fries. Holy mackerel...everything was slammin' (bet you haven't heard that term in forever). My flounder po' boy was lovely, and the toppings on it were all fresh. My boyfriend liked his sandwich too...they loaded it with a lot of meat and cheese, exactly like a philly should be. The star of the show? The beer battered fries...I should've ordered an extra basket of them because they were divine. Everything was fabulous, and this was one of my favorite businesses I visited in South Carolina. If you are in the Edisto Beach area, I'd highly recommend SeaCow Eatery. It may be a small business, but it has such big Southern charm. The service was fast, their food is tasty, and it's not too far from the beach. They also have merchandise you can buy...a little token of your visit to here. What more could you ask for? We ate breakfast and dinner at SeaCow. The food was fine (good omelette at breakfast and enjoyed shrimp and beer battered fries, among other things, at dinner). We had two with us at breakfast and seven at dinner. My only complaint is they charged us for three drinks we didn't order or receive at dinner. I didn't look over the ticket carefully, so we paid for $16 worth of drinks I guess someone else ordered. Lesson learned: look over your bill. read more

Anna was lovely, and the gentlemen assisting her were very attentive. The food was delicious, portions were generous, and the pricing was on point. The Seacow offers a limited breakfast menu that covers the basic breakfast needs. Eggs, pancakes, french toast, grits, hash browns and such. Although for someone who does not eat pork...there is only one meat option of corn-beef hash. I got the sausage and gravy biscuits. They were good, nothing outstanding enough to make me come back for just that. Biscuits tasted light and fluffy...but not homemade. My Hubby got eggs and corn-beef hash. He reports that it was fine...he would order the corn-beed hash again, just next time he would ask for the corn-beef hash to be cooked longer/well done as it was mush and needed to cook longer. The server was pleasant. Coffee was refilled. Overall meal was good. I am sure we will eat here again as there is limited options on the island of Edisto Beach. read more

Fantastic, cute restaurant on the island. They have the most amazing homemade cheesecake "pies" I've ever tasted! They have an almond joy one that melts in your mouth and their peanut butter chocolate pie is to die for! They have a nice outdoor deck seating area that allows "polite dogs." Waitress never came back to give us more menus. Party of 7 sat outside as they said that was the only available seating for that size. Sat for over 10 minutes as no one came back, yet waitress refilled table beside us and looked at our table. We ended up walking out after telling the hostess that no one has served us. She asked, did she take your drink order? I said no, she hasn't even given us more menus. Horrible service and no sense of urgency to help anyone. read more

Eggs, toast and grits were ok, and I had the grilled shrimp as well but rather than flavor, all I could taste was oil.
