The staff is friendly here. A very convenient location, the closest gas station to my house. Although Safeway down the street does have cheaper gas, 76 has shorter lines. I come here when I don't feel like waiting in line for Safeway, which is maybe 1 out of 10 times, in my own car. When I worked down the street I would fill up the work van with gas here, because it wasn't my dime, and my job wasn't a keeper. read more

Seacliff 76 is a terrific service station, the guys here are professional, knowledgable, really nice, and always helpful. I make an appointment and walk the beach as they work on the car. Sometimes, when I knew the job was going to be big or complicated, and even though living in San Francisco, I'd drive my car all the way down to Aptos to get it worked on. These guys are cool and all, but in the end I still paid $95 to have two headlights put in... Not including the bulbs. I came here originally a few weeks ago because my headlight was out, and was told it would be $10-$20 to put in a headlight, plus the cost of the bulb. I did some research, bought two headlights, and went in to have them installed... and I emerged $94.50 lighter in the pocket. This was the bill for .7 hours of service, which amounts to $135 per hour for headlight installation. It seems too high for me, but I guess it's my fault because I didn't ask for a formal quote before agreeing to the service. I advise that you do so if you patronize this establishment... The guys working there seem pretty legit though. read more

Clean environment including a small, but pleasant waiting area with coffee and good reading material...How about the history of the Beatles or National Geographic's photo book covering 25 years of the Hubble Telescope! Hi All, stopped in today to fill up and overheard one of the owners talking with a gas pump repair guy. The repair guy asked: "when's the last time you changed the filters on your pumps." Owner's reply: "it's been a really long time." Crud in your gas can cause a multitude of issues which is why most stations have a filter change regiment, with some even posting a log sheet for patrons to see. I'm guessing that selling gas isn't a big money maker, but hey, if you're going to sell it then at least do the basics to protect your customers vehicle investment. I won't be back. read more

This place is amazing!!! I came in unannounced and found out I needed my Brakes changed. They had the parts and fixed everything within a few hours. They were extremely nice and always smiling. They also replaced a fuse for me for free and got everything working properly. Then, I noticed when I picked up my car that the bulb for the turn signal was out so I came back a week later to ask about it. Without even thinking about it, the guy went out to my car and changed the bulb for free. He was all smiles, super friendly, and didn't charge me. I couldn't believe it!!! This place is seriously amazing. Now my whole family will be taking their cars there. They were impressed. I would totally trust them! read more

just moved back to sc after 8 years, and i was having a hard time finding a reputable mechanic with good prices. i was seriously afraid to take my car in for fear that i would be taken for a ride with big sums of cash for repairs at hand! i was recommend this place by my family, who has been using them for years. initially, i was having brake problems, so i was bracing myself for at least $100-150+ depending on the repairs (hoping it was just brake pads, but was mentally preparing myself for rotars, cylinders, whatever, etc.). i dropped my car off same day i called, asked them for an initial brake inspection but that i had concerns about pad replacement...i get a call an hour later telling me everything looks great, aside from a minor rear brake tightening/adjustment they did, but my car was ready for pick up whenever i was. my damage? $34.50. WHAT!? is this shop for real????? were they sent from the heavens???? they could have told me anything to get $$$ out of me, and they didn't. they are so honest and fast, this is definitely my new shop from now on!!! thank you so much guys, you are lifesavers [for the eternally paranoid car owner aka female car owner] ;) read more
