I have been using this gas station for years and this is the first time I've had an incident of this type. The staff are always very polite and helpful. I want to be upfront and state. This has nothing to do with the staff, but the incident itself. I went to this gas station to pump gas, the gas tank I was at had issues, The gentleman working told to back up and use the one behind me. That there has been problems with it. I tried the another pump and that one had issues as well. I was then told he thought they were running out of gas. Today I received a message from my credit card company stating that there were two charges for $175 each. I called the gas station and was told that it was a hold for pumping gas. I called my bank and they said they were actually charges . So that others are aware if you do not want a charge of $175 that you have to wait 5 to 7 days for it to be resolved/ drop off. I do not usually like to post of this nature but want others to be aware, as some may not have these funds to put on hold. read more

A big thank you to Seacliff 76 for the super service they provide! It means so much to have a garage I can trust - where all the mechanics are knowledgeable and friendly. They take the time to understand what the problem is, call me with updates along the way, never do unneeded work. Jeff especially has been so helpful. Most recently my van had a problem where it sometimes stalled out after starting. Jeff discovered that it was because I had mistakenly used the valet key rather than the electronic key fob. And Voila, problem solved. I had done an online search and thought it could be the fuel pump. Jeff said it could be that, but would be an expensive repair. It's a 2006 van and another garage might have done that repair anyway. I'm so grateful that the simple least expensive solution is always their goal. After leaving the car there and returning to pick it up, he found They did not even charge him. Since they found it was a simple repair. Great place to get your dad smogged, it takes about 20 minutes and you can have a walk to the beach while you're waiting. Make a appointment a day or so in advance. They get bonus points for being very friendly and having a nice selection of snacks available for purchase. read more

I really enjoyed my visit to Seacliff 76. I had gotten gas there before and it was very pleasant. This time I was going to get my propane tanks filled up right before a holiday weekend. As busy as they were they managed to quickly help everybody and they were happy to be of service too! Over the years service stations have way to gas stations. Called in to see if they're busy for a smog check today. Duke answered and said pleasantly to come in! I came in good timing and he said it would only take 20 mins. I think it was done in 15, I waited at a gorgeous bench in the park across the street. You could take a walk to Seacliff State Beach, a block away, and take advantage of a full hour walk if you needed to wait a little longer. Superb customer service during a Pandemic with masks and reasonably priced for Aptos and it's close to home. Will come back again for future smogs. My SUV happened to get a flat right here. Such luck I thought but they don't handle new tires. They were really swamped but Geoff went out of his way to replace the flat with my spare right away. Took my car in to get the power steering belt tightened as it was slipping and squeezing a little. I know this was the problem as I had the same problem before after having a new belt installed it stretched and started to slip. Other than the squeak from the belt slipping the car was fine so I took it to 76 as they installed the belt for me. After an hour they call me telling me the belt had been tensioned but I had a problem with the pump making noise...WTH..the pump wasn't making noise when I took it in now they are telling me the fluid is aerated and the pump needs a diagnosis. So I go to get my car and it now sounds like the thing has a supercharger winding up when I put the steering under load. I confront the mechanic and he tells me it was making that sound when he pulled it in to the garage, ??ARE YOU SERIOUS?? I'm pretty sure I would of noticed the loud jet engine sound coming from my car when I dropped it to you an hour ago. No it must be me right I'm hard of hearing or the pump miraculously just developed a fault the second after I drop it at the garage for a 20 min belt tensioning. Needless to say I will be getting whatever they messed up or sabotaged fixed at another garage. Steer clear of this place read more

I have come to Seacliff multiple times with more than one vehicle and the experience has been consistent whether it's oil or repair. Jeff and the crew here have been nothing but friendly, fast, helpful, and honest. Have given me competitive quotes on parts and labor. Any work they have done has been quick and they have maintained excellent communication on the the kind of work and costs expected. Couldn't finish a smog due to needing to leave town and the car had trouble passing. No problem and no charge, bring it back at a later date. A locking wheel nut got lost, no problem, they replaced the whole set at no cost to me. Just yesterday I had my car towed to the shop late at night. One of the guys was still on site, came up and got me set up for today. I had an update by mid-morning. A few examples of my experiences with them. Didn't know that was even a thing but they explained it to me and I drove some more and came back and passed smog. My 2016 Ram was making a horrible grinding noise as I was approaching the Seacliff off ramp so I pulled of and parked at the 76 station. After calling 4 Dodge dealerships and being told they couldn't see me for at least a week (and we were out of town, heading home the next day), my grandson pointed at a banner on the building that said "auto repairs". I walked in and spoke to Geoff. Within minutes he had my truck on the rack and diagnosed the problem as a shot wheel bearing assembly. Two hours later and after an enjoyable lunch across the street, Geoff called and said the truck was ready. EXCEPTIONAL service. And even though we were in a really bad spot and would have paid almost anything to get back on the road and home, we were charged a very reasonable amount. Needed a smog cert. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and made the process smooth and easy. I was quoted 20 minutes, and so I took a walk to the ocean. Came back in about an hour. All done and passed. Also, kudos to the guys for resetting my maintenance minder - we'd changed the oil, but we couldn't figure out how to reset the blinking reminder on the dash. The guys did that, too.
