Can't say enough about the professionalism, good friendly vibes, and too the point fast service I received today for my 20 year old car. She needed a new muffler flange and they welded a new pipe on there and an hour later I was on my way. I went to the nearby cafe and met another customer there and had a great chat that made the time pass quickly. I'll be sending others (and myself) to Bobby's in the future. The lady I had breakfast with said she was a long time customer and wouldn't take her car anywhere else. We joked that old cars you switch the insurance away from comprehensive to roadside assistance as the years go on. Had an issue with my AC. They quoted me $3000-7000 to fix it, which would include disassembling the entire dashboard of the vehicle and take 2 weeks. I searched around the internet and found a video on YouTube that taught me how to fix the issue for $200 in parts without disassembling anything. Took me 2 hours and the AC works fine now. They also charged me for Freon fill up even though my issue had nothing to do with the Freon being low. I'm now a bit skeptical of this place. read more

I don't get it. Two Uber drivers and a bunch of yelp reviews led me to believe that I could get my car repaired at Bobby's. Even their website had me won over. I just got off the phone with the receptionist and am very disappointed. I only wanted to get an estimate for a tune up. Instead, she asked me what was I looking to get. Oil change, fluid checks? No. I want a tune up. Why can't I make an appt to get a tune up? I also have a repair. She said that I needed a diagnostic. That's fine, but what about my tune up? Is there no such thing now? I said, never mind. She said okay, have a nice day! Ugh! Turns out, after calling several repair shops, and getting the same type of response, I find out on YT that tune ups aren't a thing now. I came here for a smog check, and when I went to pick up my car, I had a few questions about the OBDII and how it related to the buyback program. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude and dismissive, every time I tried to ask something, she just kept focusing on how much I owed instead of actually listening. After I asked for clarification, she called over a nice man who took the time to explain the OBDII information clearly and respectfully. Once that was settled and I had already paid, she suddenly mentioned that the monitors needed to be worked in since I had just replaced my battery. That information would have been really helpful to know before the test -- if I'd known that earlier, I could have driven the car a bit first and avoided unnecessary issues. It wasn't just me -- my boyfriend said she was rude to him when he dropped the car off, but he didn't think much of it until he saw our interaction during pickup. To top it off, she was so busy being rude that she even gave me more change than she was supposed to. Needless to say, all my paperwork got approved today, even with all the negativity and discouragement. I'm glad things worked out in the end, but based on the customer service alone, I won't be back. read more

My daughter was away at school and needed some work done on her car. It's always scary when you have no experience with a shop but I called and spoke to Bobby and immediately felt at ease. I wanted him to look over the car because when she was home I drove the car and felt that the brakes needed attention. It had been a bit since it had any kind of service so I asked him to do a thorough exam. Bobby called to let me know that the brakes did need to be done (knew that) and that everything else was in good shape, and oil change and topping off some other fluids and we were good to go. Have been going to BPS for years for smog/oil changes but wasn't sure if they did electrical...my left rear running light has had a short for about a year...sometimes it would come on, sometimes not...it could've been as simple as replacing the bulb or as invasive as tearing the rear of my auto apart looking for a faulty connection...then yesterday, I discovered my right rear brake was out...time to get these looked at...I called and spoke to Bubba...he told me to swing by and they would take a quick look...luckily both issues were solved by replacing the bulbs, which he did in 2 min!...all jobs, no matter how big or small requires payment, but Bubba refused to charge me a penny!?!...he did not have to go that route but he did and I'm am grateful...as always, very impressed with BPS read more

Absolutely stellar business. Upstanding owner and phenomenal service. I will be giving them business as long as I'm around. In January (2020), I needed to have some serious work done on the steering joints in my '95 pickup truck. The truck has 250,000 miles on it and this was expected. The truck drove a bit younger after that and I was satisfied with the job. Then, in August (2020), the symptom that originally tipped me off to have an inspection in January showed up again. I called Bobby and he told me to bring it in immediately and that he'd "rather me be safe than wait for an appointment". In less than an hour, his mechanics had taken a closer look at the right control arm and found that welding was needed. I left the truck overnight and came back the next day right at closing time to get an update; the crew had spent the whole day on the job. At this point, anyone with common sense would expect a fairly hefty bill to show up after an all-day labor-intensive project. Notwithstanding the aforementioned, I was handed the keys back free of charge. I was stunned and inspired by the stand-up character and integrity of Bobby's Pit Stop in handling a repair that could have been collateral from their work in January, but just as easily could have been occurring naturally years prior. Worst fucking place to bring your vehicle, they said they replaced my breaks with new ceramic breaking. Started hearing terrible noises a few months later, I eventually brought it to the dealership and they told me that the breaks were not replaced nor were they new. Don't go here. These guys are the real deal ! They are honest/trustworthy and provide excellent service. I brought in my 98 mazda truck in with a bad fuel injector. They did not get it right the first time, they tried with the what seemed the correct part. The exact replacement part was no longer available. I drove it out the first time, and it craped out (started missing again) but drove. They could have kept my money and said sorry. Instead they called around the country like I did for this factory only part. They eventually found it, not me (I'm a good mechanic with my 60s hot rods), and fixed this 25 year old truck right, no extra charge for all there extra long hours on it. They wont leave you until its done right. Something I think is very rare in this post pandemic world. Especially when its obvious there always very busy because of there great word of mouth I assume. I took my Mazda 3 in to have it checked as I had been neglecting it since I purchased it used in 2017. I was fearing the worst and some expensive services on it. None of that, they just did an oil change, replaced the air filter, rotated the tires (they need to be changed they told me), inspected the car and told me everything was good. They also fixed a part under the car that I had broken. They were professional and very easy to work with. They were very honest and told me that I should shop around for tires as they didn't have the best deals on them. Staff is super friendly and their customer service is outstanding. Bobby's Pit Stop is fantastic! Especially Bobby (Jr?). My '93 Ford F250 had a 'death wobble' in the front end, and two other shops just shrugged their shoulders and said 'sorry, nothing we can do', but had no problem charging me for my troubles. Then, my brother referred me to Bobby's Pit Stop. Bobby and his team did a thorough inspection, diagnosed the issue(s), and proposed a fix. The entire front end suspension needed to be replaced, and for a truck of this vintage, the parts were not readily available, so Bobby hit the phones, and within a few days, he found all of the necessary components at various places around the country! Who does that?! I initially balked at the price to repair the truck (it's old, and it was a TON of parts and labor to make it safe again) but Bobby didn't blink or pressure me into moving forward with the repairs. Then, when I saw what it was gonna cost me to replace it with a similar truck, I called him and asked him if he could still get all the parts. So back to phones he went, got everything shipped to the shop that he needed to make the repairs in about a week, and had the thing completely rebuilt in 2.5 days. I'm so glad I trusted these guys to fix my truck! It runs like new and I love it. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for an honest, reputable mechanic.
