Bar & dining

The food was good. Disappointed that with the name Sea Shell there was very little seafood, but the food was decent. Someone got the fries and those were crispy, too! Surprisingly, their chips were Ruffles or similar. I don't like soggy fries, so I typically choose chips. Here, I'd recommend the fries instead. Service was not good at all. It took us a long time to get drinks and we were unable to get refills. Food came out quickly, but not impressed with the service for drinks.

Crab Po-Boy with coleslaw & Haluski

Local bar that we stopped in for lunch to try for Fish Friday! We ordered mostly off their lent menu except for the fried mushrooms which were great & they have good ranch! We also ordered the large fish sandwich (which is so much food) & the crab po-boy, both with Haluski. The sandwiches were pretty good, but the Haluski lacked flavor for us but still good being that I'm sure they are serving a ton on Fridays. Place was super packed but still had great service!

The weds. special, roast beef in white bread with fries and gravy. Get mushrooms with this! Heck, get double mushrooms!

From now on, only five stars for places I like, and two for places I don't. I have been grabbing lunch here for about a year now, and the service is always friendly, the food is always good, and it has a cast of characters at the bar who all know each other and are friendly and happy and don't talk politics or religion. Oh, and the food is really good. Usual array of sandwiches and hoagies. And a daily special. Also good chili and Friday's are standard fish day, in this area, you can count on places that do the fish on Friday thing. I recommend the French dip hoagie. Get extra mushrooms. I tossed in a picture of the Weds. special, which was roast beef on white bread with fries covered in gravy. Sorry, no mashed potatoes, which would be great! But the fries are hot. Just ask for extra gravy and sautéed mushrooms and you're doing good! And Friday fish is great also!

Good burger and large salads. The daily soups are definitely home-made.

Not impressed. female bartenders are a little snotty, especially if you're not one of the local bar flies. Food was decent though.

The menu looked quite challenging (what to pick?), but I ordered the Rueben - one of my favorite…read moresandwiches. Frequently, they are too greasy - but not this one! This was the best Rueben I have had in a long time! Fully loaded (but not too full to be able to handle and eat), just how I like them! I would definitely recommend it! Also looked to be a good sports bar (no games being played - lunchtime on a Tuesday) but lots of TV screens with sports programming running. Just passing thru the area, it came up on Google and was a good find!

I have always enjoyed the atmosphere and food at Patrick's Pub, but it seems like every time I go…read morethere, the service is excruciatingly slow. Not sure why I expected anything different when we went there today. Today's experience: Our server took our order in a very reasonable timeframe, but we waited close to 50 minutes for our food to arrive. And this was on a weekday; they were busy but not packed. No one came by to provide any kind of explanation. When the food finally arrived, my fries were cold and we had to ask twice for refills on our beverages. We had to go to the bar to get utensils and napkins because the server never brought them. As we were leaving, a couple at another table had just gotten their food and had the same problem-- they needed utensils and napkins. This isn't the first time we've experienced very slow service at Patrick's Pub. I don't know what the issue is, but I'm sorry to say I probably won't ever go back to Patrick's for a meal.

Had a great stop here. Great selection of sandwiches and good eats. Has your sports bar feel with a…read moreton of TVs and plenty of seating. The staff were really helpful in making our selection. The pretzel was huge and a big highlight. Also like the nachos. And you get a ton. The sandwiches and pizza were just ok. Not the biggest fan of the style of fries stuffed in them. But plenty of other options.

It may surprise some to know how many times I've hung out in Pittsburgh in the last 16 years or so,…read morebecause I've never been to a Primanti Bros. before. But then again, I am vegetarian, so I didn't think they offered anything for me. I've looked at the menu online more than once, and didn't see any sandwiches designated vegetarian each time. But I was meeting a friend before a concert on the RMU campus, and this was conveniently located 1 mile away, and it had food and beer. I kept an open mind and figured, I'll just modify one of their sandwiches. When I arrived, I learned they also have a pizza option. But I still thought... when in Rome... There was a black bean option listed on their wall menu, but the waitress double-checked for me and we learned together that they use to offer that option, but no longer do. Damn. There was however a cheese (no meat) option on the menu, which I was surprised wasn't on the online menu. But I'll take it! Their sandwiches are interesting in that instead of sides of french fries and cole slaw, the sides are just stacked into the sandwich to make it a quick easy convenient meal! The draft beer selection was good, the sandwich was decent enough, and the service was great (weekday evening). In the end, I am not sure I'd run back for my one sandwich menu option, maybe I'd try their pizza, or go for some sides, or just stop in for a beer on my way to my next show. I enjoyed the vibe and most everthing about the place, but the sandwich was just okay.
