Maybe I should have ordered what this restaurant specializes in.
I stopped in with 3 of my co-workers around lunchtime after I heard it recently opened. I fully understand a 15-25 minute wait especially on a weekday, but we waited much longer than that. There was one person on the register and one in the back cooking.
There's seating available for those that wish to dine in. Some cooking/beverage products were in the corners. I believe those items should have been stored away from the customer's view.
I placed an order for the Honey Gobi Garlic, which is fried cauliflower in a sweet garlic sauce and French fries. Halfway through my wait, I was told that the fries could not be made because their machine was broken. That didn't bother me and I took it as a sign that I didn't need the fries. Instead, I asked for a refund and the gentleman refunded me.
Unfortunately, the Honey Gobi Garlic left much to be desired. The cauliflower was chewy and at the bottom of the container it tasted like hallow pieces of breading with sauce. I chose this appetizer because I'm not a fan of spice. It wasn't spicy, but the cauliflower was not prominent enough.
Some small kinks to be ironed out for sure. Service needs improvement and they may need to hire more staff to keep up with the demand. read more
