When I went to pay I added some potato salad and asked if they sell the wings by piece. They don't but were nice enough to for me. I really appreciate this type of customer service! It's the little things! Very much appreciated!!! The chili is so good! Packed with lots of brisket bits and they do not skimp and it pairs perfectly with the cornbread. I did not realize they have a few cornbread options; reg, sweet potato, peach. So good!!!! The greens were sooooo very good! Perfectly seasoned tender with still a little bite not overly vinigery either. I just made a new word lol. Potato salad was solid. A bit on the heavy mustard vibe but still very good. We had takeout and it was delicious. Large portions and wonderful brisket. Sides were also wonderful--beans and mac and cheese.

I had the half slab of ribs with mac & cheese, potato salad, and cornbread, and was very pleased with the portions, the flavor, and the speed at which the food arrived. The barbecue sauce was great, and the perfect amount of spicy (I had the mix of mild and hot on my ribs), and the meat was tender. I wasn't a huge fan of the potato salad, but the mac & cheese was some of the best I've had. I'd definitely return for more barbecue! read more

The sweet potato cornbread was soo good!! Service was wonderful. The lady at the window was very friendly with good energy. I came to Dibbs cause I heard such great things about this BBQ spot. I ordered the beef ribs platter with onion petals, green beans and of course that dangerously delicious cornbread. The beef ribs had a nice smoky flavor, it just was a little tough for me and I prefer the meat to be falling off the bone instead I was kinda tussling with it lol. The green beans was flavorful and well seasoned and the onion petals was mid at best. Overall the star of the show was the sweet potato cornbread. I would go back just for the cornbread. When it comes to ribs, there's only Dibbs. I visited my sister in Philly and stopped here multiple times!

The food is the star of the show. However, the online ordering process does not work for Dibbs. My order was confirmed and was given a pick up time. When I pick up my order, the cashier told me there were no more ribs which could have been communicated to me earlier. They then changed my order to a meat item that was less expensive. Also, I ordered potato salad and received macaroni salad instead. Like I said, the food is excellent but online ordering needs some work. read more

Good but could be great. I was really looking forward to this meal. The barbecue was tender and falling off the bone, The sides on the other hand were a disappointment. The collards were flavorful and overcooked. The yams were flavorful too. However the proper prep work was not done on the greens and yams. They had not been properly chopped, just huge chucks and strands of vegetables. The cornbread was burnt and dusted in sugar. The concept of sweet potato cornbread is awesome but it was overworked. Honestly, I look forward to eating here again and writing a more favorable review. read more

Holy crap this place is good! Damn! I got the brisket and beef ribs and it was amazing. The brisket had a great thick bark and the inside was juicy and tender. The fat was rendered perfectly so it just melted in your mouth. The ribs have a dry rub on them and it is delicious fall off the bone worth it! I did order a side of the coleslaw and unfortunately it wasn't for me, found it too watery and very sweet. The BBQ sauces are on point! Also super friendly staff, and it's more of a take out place as they have a window outside for pick up, recommend ordering in advance if you're getting a big order. Environment is a little messy (the places around them but that's not within their control), I wish this place was closer to my house. I'd be there everyday! Highly recommend it! read more

Ordered the brisket slider and the pulled pork slider and they give a lot of meat on the sliders. Brisket was cooked very very well. Pulled pork was excellent too. Baked macaroni and cheese was on point, cheesy! Had the corn bread and I was surprised to see a real piece of corn in there but it was very very tasty. I hear they sell out and there is a reason why! There is outdoor seating for these hefty portions. The greens were solid. Vinegary but not overly and easily my favorite side of the day. The yams were cool, nothing spectacular. Sweet and cooked. They were quick with my order which is appreciated. I went early in the day and suggest the same. They had everything in and available. Now the ribs-- yup yup you want to try them. Not too fatty, not dripping with sauce and not chewy. They were all the things you DO want in a rib. Been curious to try Dibbs BBQ for the longest, decided to place an order through Grubhub. Ordering from Grubhub the prices are a bit higher, but it was my day off & I wasn't leaving the house. I placed an order for a half Slab Pork Ribs Platter, that came with 2 sides. Collard Greens and Mac & Cheese with 2 slices of Texas Style bread & BBQ Sauce. 1st let me say that my platter was a good size. Plenty of ribs, would preferred Dibbs to be a little more generous when it came to the sides (Just my opinion). Ribs were tender and cooked perfectly. The Mac & Cheese was good, very cheesy (but needed another 5 minutes in the oven, to achieve that Mac & Cheese with the slight burnt look & taste) nevertheless it still was good. The Collard greens had a unique taste to them. Sweet, yet Savory with a nice spicy kick. Texas Style bread were nice & thick. It literally took me 2 whole days to eat this entire platter. Overall rating, Dibbs gets a Solid 4 Stars !!! The prices are reasonable but order online will cost extra. So next time I'll just take my ass a few blocks over & order for pickup. read more

My hubby had a taste for BBQ - BBQ is not really my thing but I gave in... I ordered collard greens and baked beans only but later decided I wanted beef brisket but couldn't get it because there was none left; hubby ordered the same sides and a 1/2 chicken... Oh my... the baked beans had the potential to be THE BEST baked beans I have ever tasted BUT the sauce was too heavy - Dibbs team: please go lighter on the sauce in the beans - they are a very flavorful but the sauce is WAY too thick... My hubby insisted on me tasting his chicken so I gave in and it was divine - juicy with a nice smoky touch. The greens were just ok... I almost forgot - GET THE CORNBREAD!!! It is soooo good - there is a pleasant twist on it but I can't figure it out what but it is GOOD and it is toasted. The service was AWESOME and prices are reasonable. I've wanted to come here for a month now and finally made the drive. If you don't call ahead, expect an hour wait for food. That being said, some absolutely bomb bbq at this place. Lots of flavor on the ribs, especially when dipped in the mixed sauce. The pulled pork was a super size portion and very delicious. I got Mac n cheese on my platter and I almost wish I got a different side. The mac was good, but cheese was too wet. I like my Mac thick n cheesy. The bbq beans were a hit and I'd easily go back for seconds. The cornbread was good but I think I should have got the sweet potato cornbread, seemed like everyone in line wanted it. If you value your time and money, by all means, skip this establishment. This place is a perfect example of when poor customer service meets mediocre, over priced food. Be prepare for a wait. A LONG wait. And it's not because they are painstakingly preparing your food, no. The wait is because of the incompetent worker they have taking orders at the window. She is unable to organize herself where she can take phone order and walk up orders in a timely manner. I waited for a little over three minutes before she even opened the window or acknowledged I was standing there. Once she did open the window, she held her finger up as to say "wait" then walked away. Didn't offer a menu, greeting or an offer for help. After she comes back, I ask for a menu. Something I could've been using while I was waiting. But of course, customer service at this place is an afterthought. My order is taken, I'm sitting outside with the other impatiently waiting customers. Three others were served before I received my food, even though I ordered before them. I go to the window to inquire and was told, "I called your name, it's not my fault you didn't hear me". Myself and another gentlemen were sitting in the waiting area and both of us looked at each other dumbfounded by her reply. There is no way her frail voice could carry over the noise where people can hear their order being called. The cashier was flat out rude. She hands me my food and as I'm frustratingly taking it from her hands, she grabs it and tells me not to snatch. I didn't know buying. BBQ would end up with a kindergarten class on manners. But, I paid for my food. It is not "Ms Incompetent" job to keep me from my items. I had to forcibly take my food and exit that establishment asap. Customer service is a joke. The food was even worse. Collard greens were not cut. Just ginormous leaves of unseasoned greens. Baked beans tastes like they came straight from a can. Brown sugar? Onions? Peppers? No. Just some watery bland beans they warmed up. Not good at all. Bbq chicken. I asked for sauce on the chicken. Get home and there is no sauce. Just a slab of overly salted, dry chicken. The collars greens could've used some of the salt from that dry, Sahara chicken. The corn bread was a dry, dense hunk of bread that desperately needed butter. Over all, do not go here. The customer service is horrible. The food is bland and pedestrian and the prices are ridiculous. Over priced, bland, tasteless food that takes forever to get because the cashier is a joke and the people that work there are slow. The ribs were tender, not falling off the bone, but not a fight to get the meat off the bone nor extra chewy. I got the regular and the spicy BBQ sauces on the side and I'm glad I did because the regular had an unanticipated kick to it! I liked it but didn't use a whole lot. The sides were the slight downfall. The baked beans tasted canned and the slaw was way too wet. Platters come with either a side of cornbread or "Texas toast". The cornbread was good but I used quotes on that Texas toast because it was just 2 slices of bread! Nice try but gotta come harder than that. Service is great and staff is very friendly. Ok, I like the people, and the beef ribs are super tender (I reheat/steam mine in about a quarter inch of apple or grape juice and it's AWESOME!). BUT their take-out packaging is from the 1990's. It's time for an upgrade. (Hopefully it will happen) The styrofoam containers are bad for the environment, they are extremely sloppy (reducing the quality of meal), they are inordinately large, difficult to clean and impossible to put away in the refrigerator as-is. Boston Market, Popeye's, KFC and local Chinese food take-out spots all have better take-out packaging strategies than Dibb's and that shouldn't be in 2022. Corn bread should be in paper bags keeping the outside dry while the inside is not. Putting it in plastic bags essentially leaves the home customer with something more like the consistency of corn pudding in the palm of their hand. Most take-out is for 2 or more, separate containers for meats and sides for more than 1 make the most sense in most cases. Individual platters are obvioulsy going to be necessary, but hopefully not styrofoam for much longer. Boston Market fits ribs in Chicken take-out containers I suggest Dibb's does the same with their cooked meats. read more

I have ordered food from here several times, trying different dishes each time and they have never disappointed! The meat is always tender and flavorful. The corn bread is buttery and tasty. The staff have always been kind and friendly - they deliver food hot and on time. I have never stayed to eat at their outdoor tables but that is an option. The nearby road is busy with cars though so it hasn't been an appealing option to me. With nice weather and not too much traffic it could be nice. read more

My sister told me about them and I set out to try them out one Saturday afternoon. I'm glad it did. I've been a few times, and each time the ribs are delicious. I love their BBQ pork ribs, the portion is large and the ribs are succulent, the cornbread actually has corn in it, I had it for the first time here and it's very good. The place is open on Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's. I showed up at 12 and they were ready to go at 12:15. I walked over and spoke with owner about the history and he couldn't have been nicer. I met his wife and she was really sweet. The son worked there too but I didn't know which one was the son. I ordered pork ribs with side of mac and cheese and baked beans. I got hot sauce on the side. They give you a choice of Texas bread or cornbread. The ribs were very good. Meaty and not dry. This is why I always get sauce on the side to make sure they're not covering up dryness plus I want to see what their run tastes likes. The mac and cheese was very good without those bread crumbs the snooty places use. The baked beans were sweet with a smokiness. The corn bread was delightful. I wish they had desserts like cobbler or sweet potato pie but you will be stuffed after eating. The food isn't cheap but they're serving quality. So I searched all day to find the problem with this place and I finally figured it out. They're not open everyday!!!! Lord we ordered the food on a whim using DoorDash it was late and I was fully prepared to be disappointed. My jaw dropped after the first bite!!! Omg I said mouth still full this is good, my fiancé agreed. We ordered the rib platter and brisket platter. We ate back and forth from both platters commenting on how amazing everything tasted!! Honestly we were in shock we have tried bbq/soul food before and have been disappointed so many times we prepared ourselves to find issues but goodness was all we found!
