There were absolutely no hassles, no stress, and nothing to worry about--we could just sit back and enjoy ourselves.The service was top-notch, and I am so grateful for the captain and the amazing crew! They were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and just very nice people. If you are a local, you don't even need a tour guide; this is the perfect way to get some peace and quiet, listen to the waves, feel the boat rocking, and enjoy the sun, wind, and nature. It is a wonderful way to de-stress.Logistics tip: We took the light rail, walked down from Pike Place Market, and grabbed some food to bring and eat on the boat. For convenience, there is a restroom at the dock office and two right on the boat. They also have some great souvenirs downstairs by the boat restrooms. The surrounding waterfront has lots of fun things to do, too.I am well satisfied and happy with how our trip turned out. We will most definitely do this again! Things to remember: Check the weather for the day. You can bring food and drinks. Have your transportation route, parking and plan accordingly. There are some differences in their price tiers dependent on the time and type of sailing. Prices can range between $39-$79. Their email notifications are thorough and provided recommendations on parking, things to bring, and what to expect onboard. Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are allowed. Alcoholic beverages such as beer, wine, and mimosas are available for purchase onboard the ship. The check-in tent is located by Anthony's on Pier 66. Boarding started at around 10 minutes before departure and crew members walked us down to the marina. The ship is an 85 foot long schooner named Bay Lady and features an 87 foot mast and bench seating with backrests. This ship also has a cannon which they did fire while out on Puget Sound. The tour was 2 hours and unnarrated and bar service immediately started as soon as we cleared the marina. About 30 minutes into the voyage, crew members asked for volunteers to hoist the sails. Overall, I highly recommend this experience. The crew were attentive and consistently checked-in on our group.
