We did the Ballard Locks tour with Emma as our guide, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Washington. The weather was perfect, and the Puget Sound was absolutely gorgeous! Emma was a great guide - enthusiastic, patient, knowledgeable. We saw harbor seals with their pups, herons, an eagle, salmon jumping out of the water. And going through the locks was very cool!! Highly highly recommend!!

We went on the Ballard Locks tour and absolutely loved it. Blaine and the rest of the team were excellent, welcoming and informative, sharing a lot of great historical context and information and making sure the trip was comfortable, accessible, and fun for everyone. Seeing so many seals was a particular highlight, they were around us in the water and chilling on the rocks at the marina. I would recommend this tour to anyone. We will definitely come back for more in the future!

We did the Ballard Locks tour with Blaine as our guide. What a great experience! So appreciated Blaine's attention to proper kayak paddling and safety. Blaine's many tidbits about birds, marine life, tides, history of the Locks and Seattle made the trip even more enjoyable. Being locals and having visited the Locks many times with out-of-town guests, it was fabulous to actually experience the Locks on the water. Highly recommend for locals and out-of-town guests.

This was an amazing experience! I rented a single two hour kayak and had a blast! The check in process was super simple and the staff were very courtesy and professional. The online reservation system is a breeze. The gal who assisted me was named, Anna, and she was great. You cannot go wrong with views like these! I saw so many jelly fish, sea lions, and grey herons during today's outing, it was incredible! This was my first time kayaking with Ballard Kayak and highly recommended checking these folks out, I certainly aim to do so! Prices are very reasonable and they also have Paddleboarding, tandem kayaks, and tours.

I went with on this embankment with my Girl Scout troop as we were on our final trip together. We had a reservation at 9am for the 3 hour kayaking tour and once we got there, the guides Lindsay and Anna were super welcoming and were super charismatic. They made the instructions clear, easy and fun to follow. Once on the water, the energy did not stop there. Both Lindsay and Anna had countless amount of puns and information on what my group was looking at. We even got lucky enough that the seals were playful and jumped on the tail end of some of our kayaks which was a super rare yet fun opportunity to see. Regardless, we did see a few signs of wildlife including the seals, jumping fish and jellyfish. I can speak on behalf of my entire troop of 6 people in saying we had an amazing time on the water. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone groups big or small.

This seal hopped up on our guide's kayak to say, "Hi!"

We had such an amazing morning on the water with our guides Lindsay and Patrick. We did the locks tour and it was really cool to go through and learn about the locks and how they work, but the wildlife was outshining the locks by a mile. It was like all the animals were putting on a show. The salmon were jumping, seals playing and eagles soaring! Such an amazing day! I highly recommend this company and this tour to locals and visitors.

I learned a lot about Seattle's rich history, including how the city got its name and the events that shaped it into what it is today. Our tour guide, David, was both knowledgeable and entertaining, making the history come alive with his humor and storytelling. One of the highlights was walking through the original city streets that were built at sea level and now lie beneath modern-day Seattle. It was fascinating to see a hidden part of the city that most people never get to experience. The 65-minute tour was engaging from start to finish and offered a great perspective of Seattle both above and below ground. If you're visiting Seattle or even if you're a local looking to learn more about the city's past, this tour is absolutely worth it. Definitely a must-do experience!

We ended up really enjoying the tour and would highly recommend to visitors. This would especially be a great thing to add to your itinerary if you're only in the city for a short time, as you get to see a lot of landmarks in a short time. You also get to hear about the city's history and key industries. The ride overall is pretty smooth, and my husband, who gets motion sickness, was totally fine. The boat when docked can experience a little more motion, however, so your mileage may vary. We also found it easy to get seats with good views, and the guides were easy to hear anywhere on the boat. A lot of it was about the downtown Seattle buildings, Space Needle, buildings and parks by the shore, the sea ports and many other cool facts along the way. I throughly enjoyed the hour long tour. The weather was also fantastic to take stunning pictures of the downtown, the mountains and the port. They also had a bar in second level where they served alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, pop corn and some small snacks. Prices were decent for it being a tourist activity. We liked both popcorn and the strawberry lemonade.

The tour started much later in the evening so bring a coat! We got there a little early so we were able to browse the museum, which was fairly tiny but interesting. Our tour guide was Kim and she was a joy to be around. She really knows how to tell a story and keeps you involved in the tour. (Listening to evps, watching videos, asking questions) Our tour group was small but it made the whole experience feel much more personal. We walked all around Pioneer Square and visited haunted locations. My favorite stop was at the "Merchant Cafe". We actually entered and sat in their underground lounge. It was very spooky and took a few pictures to see if I could spot anything. The whole tour was made even spookier by the actual buildings around us. The mixture of older historical buildings and closed/abandoned buildings. Beware it is rundown and many homeless people but they keep to themselves. And I also felt something push my back during one of the stops. The guide was telling us about a specific spirit that was known for being "grabby" with women. I cannot say enough amazing things about this Olympic National Park tour experience. From start to finish, this was hands down one of the best guided experiences I've ever had and one I will remember for a long time. We visited Hurricane Ridge, the Elwha area, Lake Crescent, Marymere Falls, and several additional scenic stops throughout the day, and every single location was absolutely breathtaking. The landscapes were stunning, but what truly elevated this experience was the way the entire day was curated and paced. Nothing ever felt rushed. We had time to really take in the scenery, walk around, take photos, learn, and fully experience each stop before moving on to the next. Our guide Evan was phenomenal. Incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, thoughtful, and genuinely passionate about the ecosystem, history, geology, and ecology of Olympic National Park. Listening to him explain how the landscapes were formed, how the ecosystems function, and the history behind the region made the entire experience feel so much deeper and more meaningful. It honestly made me want to continue learning more after the tour ended. What also stood out was how well he created an atmosphere for the group. During the drive, everyone introduced themselves and shared a little about where they were from, which made the group feel comfortable and connected. On the ride back, he had everyone share songs that had personal meaning to them, and we talked about why we chose them. It turned what could have just been a long drive into a genuinely memorable and human experience. Even the lunch setup was beautifully organized and thoughtfully presented. Every detail throughout the day felt intentional and well done. The ferry ride, the mountains, the forests, the rivers, the waterfalls, the lakes, it was all unforgettable. Olympic National Park is stunning on its own, but having such an incredible guide and such a well-executed tour made this experience truly exceptional. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Seattle/Olympic area. Easily a 10/10 experience.
