The atmosphere here is that of being welcome- regardless of anything. I experience real, authentic human connection here every time. The staff is of the nicest I've experienced, and every coffee I've had has been carefully made and of utmost quality. My kids absolutely love the trail cookies (which are made from scratch!) and I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to be able to have an array of treat choices made with clean ingredients and minimal processing. I have frequented many a coffee shop all over North America and none hold a "stick" to The Stick!

They offer a breakfast sandwich called an egg a majig that was delicious and hit the spot we also had one of their coconut chocolate cookies equally good. My wife had the Lotte she was happy with it I had a drip coffee called the swallow blend. I assume it is named after the ubiquitous swallows all along the coastline. This coffee was Unreal it is honestly the best cup of coffee I've had in Canada. I drink my coffee black with no sugar so I could taste it unadulterated. You're on vacation in Sooke for 2 weeks I will be going back to this coffee shop frequently and I will be taking some of the swallow blend home with me to Edmonton. The decor what is eclectic Surf Shop and there were plenty of locals having chinwag. Listening to them was highly entertaining there are some characters here. I would recommend this coffee shop to anyone in fact if I lived in Victoria on the weekend I might drive out to Sooke just to have a coffee and enjoy the fresh air.

Well all that changed during our covid lockdown and we were not disappointed! Wow, the "stay at home at Dad" pierogies were amazing and the Gnocchis with Brussels sprouts a perfect accompaniment. It was a perfect way to spend a few hours. It was a pleasant Spring afternoon and it was busy. There is seating indoors and outdoors. We chose seats at the window indoors. Once a big crowd left, it was a lot more pleasant for us -- we like a bit of space and quiet brewery whenever possible. It seems timing, depending on what you prefer is the key to success when visiting here. The beers were delicious. I went with a dark beer, high abv. It was the Doppelback. My husband had a saison Brett for ironic reasons. They were both delicious. It was so lovely just hanging out and enjoying the brewery. Staff were friendly and seemed like they loved every bit of their job. The washrooms were clean. There was a Mac and Cheese pop up stand/truck. Families ordered from it while we were there and the kids sure seemed to enjoy it. Parking can be tricky when it's busy. We ended up parking on the side of the road. Who cares, though.
