-We needed to put in a component between our outlet and a plug that would go to a hot tub. Shane came out to look and advised that it would be safer and more functional for the wiring of the whole house to put in a new line just for the hot tub. The hot tub store had said just to put the box on the existing outlet, but we learned from Nate on Shane's team that this could cause a breaker to trip unpredictably. Nate and Jackson were so courteous and considerate of our household, and Nate explained how the wiring in our house is set up (it is funky) in detail. He recommended a new breaker box but did not push for it. Jackson combat-crawled under the house without complaint. For a little extra money, they spackled the dry wall that they had to remove. Without me asking him to do so, Nate measured the area where the hot tub (which isn't here yet) would go to make sure that the hot tub cord would reach the outlet. All of this was done very quickly and quietly, and then Nate made sure that I knew how to use the box and what to do in the event of a power outage. They looked in another room where the lights sometimes flicker and explained what was probably happening. Jackson spotted a loose screw and tightened it. All in all, all three, Shane, Nate, and Jackson were definitely very professional, customer-oriented and extremely knowledgeable. read more

This is a way overdue review. I first called Shane a couple years ago when my main panel fried two days before labor day weekend. He graciously rescheduled his other work and came over right away. As I headed to the county building to pull a pull a permit he called PG+E to shut off the line, actually new the lineman, and started the work. The next morning he was back with a new panel, wired it up and we had the county inspector (Shane new him too) there signing it off at noon. I was amazed to have everything fall into place so quickly and finished on the Friday of a three day weekend! Fast forward a year, and it was time for a kitchen remodel and Shane and his great crew of Austin, and Shannon re wired the kitchen, installed a sub panel, hung lights, a new ceiling fan, exhaust fan, and much more. I felt very safe leaving them in my house while I went to work every day and they gave me great suggestions as we proceeded. Problem: we waited till Dec 8th to get quotes. Everyone else said not till January (or later). We had a few of them still come out for quotes, cuz we thought we'd missed our deadline. Shane's team came to the RESCUE! When his initial email got no response, he took initiative: Called me the next morning (Sat 12/10), in person consult M (12/12), prompt written quote on same day with the 3 options we discussed, and by the following M (12/19) was working on sight. He was great in sharing his expertise. They were the only election of our 3 consults who gave us the option of installing a 2nd sub-panel. They kept the wiring neat and hidden under our house (others planned to cut through drywall). All at a cost that beat the competition. The subpanel was a bit more than wiring only, but will give us more options for the future. They even gave advise on permitting but let us save money by doing owner-construction permits. Our electricity was flickering and surging. It actually fried several of our electronics including my sons Xbox. We went to generator back up for several days as I looked high and low for an electrician. I called several in my area of which either didn't answer their phone or gave me the "We cant help " line. I finally found, on yelp, a number for SE - and to my surprise they answered the phone. Shane listen to my issue and was very understanding and helpful. He very professionally let me know that they were backed up for at least 3 weeks but gave me the number of another electrician. After contacting the referred guy he was at my house within 30 minutes assessing the problem and 10 minutes later he had the problem fixed and charged me next to nothing.
