There was an outage due to high winds recently; and I was not at all notified that there was going to be an outage (in Ramona, CA). I submitted a claim, as we were NOT prepared and lost a lot of groceries as well as breast milk. The claims representative called and said the claim was denied, and that a notice was sent out. She rudely hung up on me when I asked for the timestamp of the email and phone call sent out (knowing that it was not). I called the emergency line to be transferred to non emergency, as you do not get a live agent when you call the 1-800-611-7343. The service rep confirmed that no notifications were sent out to my home, and that I had only 1 of the following options: 1. Accept a $100 credit on my account, and do not pursue the claim. 2. Do not accept the $100 credit, and pursue the claim. *for those that need to contact the claims department, there is no option, nor is there a way to get there from the automated menu. If you are reading this review, for the claims department, call 858-650-4100* I chose the latter, and was transferred to the claims department. Immediately met with a voicemail greeting (no option for live person). I left a voicemail, and am awaiting follow up. After throwing away closer to $1000 worth of groceries (freezer in garage and fridge/freezer in home), this is one of the most frustrating things I have ever dealt with regarding a company. read more

Worst company ever. Unfortunately, must use them as they are the gas company. Tech came and turned off our gas accidentally. He meant to go to the neighbors gas off as they moved. I understand people make mistakes ( even though our address is clearly marked), but what made me mad was that it took hours for this to be rectified. If I made a mistake, I would try to fix it right away. Instead I was told to wait at home with NO TIMEFRAME for technician to come back. In the meantime, my cleaning lady just did laundry and now, none of it can be dried and laundry became gross and they had to be redone as she had put it in the dryer.Dog can't be picked up. Can't cook to feed family, then missed dinner reservation as we were told finally that a tech would arrive 2 hours earlier than he actually did, can't take a hot shower... yada yada yada... They hike our prices. They don't do their jobs so people's homes burn to the ground and people die in swimming pools. And a simple power outage takes 4 hours but we 1700 citizens have no other options. We have no power until estimated 1:30 am with an estimated outage at 10:30 pm. They take a $500 deposit for 1 year! For new customers even with a 780 fico score and a huge bank account. Most companies 3-6 month Max for deposit. Then if you don't want to set up your bank account with all your information you can't make a payment without being charged. That's right they charge you $ to take your $. How is this legal.
