Johnny is an excellent breeder whose Ragdolls are truly show quality. Throughout the entire process, he maintained frequent communication and continued to be available even after Pearl came home. It was clear that he genuinely cared about her well-being. Pearl Marie has been an incredible blessing to our family. She brings such beauty, gentleness, and warmth to our home. I even had her blessed by a Catholic priest in the Traditional Latin Rite because she is such a cherished member of our family. My only disappointment involved the breeding rights fee. I paid an additional $900 for the option to breed her, but ultimately decided to have her spayed at one year of age instead. Because of the contract, Johnny was unable to provide any refund. While I understand that he honored the agreement, I do wish the policy had allowed for at least a partial reimbursement when breeding rights ultimately go unused. As someone with a limited income during the summer months, even a partial refund would have made a meaningful difference. In fact, I had been planning to purchase a second Ragdoll from Johnny, but I ultimately decided not to because of this policy. Had the breeding rights fee been handled differently, I likely would have returned for another kitten. Aside from that concern, my experience was overwhelmingly positive, and I would gladly update this review to reflect an even stronger recommendation if the breeding rights policy were ever reconsidered.
No words could describe how pleased I am with my sweet baby boy from SD Ragdolls I have wanted a ragdoll since I first seen one about a few years back. I did the research this year and came across SD Ragdolls. Johnny was very helpful and talked me through the whole process. He is very knowledgeable and honest. He also took the time to educate me and answered all my questions. He definitely made the process easy and exciting! It was obvious how much he loves his cats and their kittens, which is what drew me further to my decision in purchasing a kitten through him. My baby boy was so calm on the way home ( 1 1/2 hours!) and had adjusted rather quickly to our home. He has been so sweet with loads of love. He enjoys sleeping, kisses, cuddling, playing, and exploring! I love him so much and am so thankful to have come across Johnny's website for my dream kitty. Thank you SD Ragdolls for helping me bring home my angel baby!
We wanted to gift our daughter her dream cat for her very special 15th birthday. We did our research and spoke to a handful of Catteries through out Southern California. We came across Sdragdolls , spoke to Johnny and we immediately hit it off. He was transparent from the beginning and extremely attentive to our family. Johnny is an extremely knowledgeable breeder and the love he has for his cats is unmatched. He kept us in the loop since the day our baby girl was born until our pick up date! This entire process has been incredibly smooth, Johnny has been excellent at communicating with us every step of the way. And we couldn't be more thrilled to have our baby girl Bleu finally home with us! If you're in the market for an ethical breeder that's been doing this for decades, look no further. Thank you Johnny, it's been delightful to work with you!
I got my sweet angel girl over two years ago, and she is the love of my life. I couldn't imagine my life without her. Johnny was very clear and transparent about the process of adoption and what is to be expected. No surprises or inconveniences. He offered to bring her up to Northern California where I live, but I volunteered to drive down and get her. Johnny is very professional and has guided me throughout the past two years when I have had questions (especially regarding dietary inquiries). I appreciate the support. When I decide to get another ragdoll, I will defiantly be going through Johnny again. Thank you again.
Johnny is very communicative and the whole process was enjoyable. My kitten was my very first cat and I had many questions. He was more than happy to answer all of them and also recommend some budget-friendly options for supplies that work just as well as anything else. Iroh (my now 7 month old kitten) is a joy. He makes me laugh every day. He isn't destructive as long as I provide him with basic cat enrichment (scratching posts, cat tree, play time, etc.) I am so in love with him and he follows me EVERYWHERE. he wants to be involved in everything going on in the house. He doesn't sleep with me anymore but is plenty affectionate I'm so happy!
We are so in love with our perfect girl, and so thankful we found SD Ragdolls! After researching for about a year, we came across SD Ragdolls and knew immediately this was the cattery for us. Johnny has been so helpful throughout the entire process. He always makes himself available to address my questions or concerns, is extremely knowledgeable, and is an all around great guy! It's very clear his kitties are well-loved and cared for. Our kitten was very social and comfortable around us on day 1. Thank you so much, Johnny! If we ever decide to add another addition to our family, I know exactly who I'm going to.
Before I decided to work with SD Ragdolls, I had done lots of research and talked with a handful of breeders in the Southern California area. Johnny with SD Ragdolls was hands down the most informative, transparent, and realistic person I spoke to. He was clear about how the process worked and answered all my questions, and I never felt confused or in the dark about such a big decision. He takes great care of his cats and is an absolutely ethical breeder. Johnny has decades of experience with this breed and it was obvious after talking to him through the process. It has been a pleasure working with him!
We got our 2 kittens and was the best choice that we made in our life's Johnny helped us with everything and it was all perfect, it was a little hard in the start for us because we never had kittens before but when they adapted themselves and got comfortable everything got perfect, it was the best choice that we had getting 2 kittens , and here we have Chanel and Max the happiness of our home we are very happy because everything was perfect, they are gorgeous, happy and healthy and they give us a lot of love always. Thank you for everything SD Ragdolls. If I could give rating 1000 I would give for sure
Our baby Girl Jubilee is Everything and more! She is sweet and elegant with a funny side. She has completed our family Ragdoll dreams . Working with Johnny was awesome and you can tell this is his passion cause she is just a Perfect description of a Ragdoll Our family can't wait to get her a from SD Ragdolls in the near future.
Giancarlo is awesome. Super friendly and very professional. Carefully walked us through the process, costs, vaccinations etc. He's also super knowledgable about the breed and how best to raise them to ensure that they remain healthy. We've had our RagDoll now for almost a year and he's our absolute pride and joy. Great value for money, compared to other RagDoll breeders and he's even had kittens used in ads! Cannot recommend SDragdolls enough! Very, very happy. Here's a picture of our little monster, pretending to be asleep .
We adopted our little kitten from SDragdolls and couldn't be happier. We live quite far away and had to choose our kitten only based upon photos and videos. We were hesitant at first to make such a big decision before meeting our little kitten but SDragdolls was extremely helpful and accommodating with all our questions beforehand. We are extremely happy with our new furry family member and can highly recommend SDragdolls.

Great loving TICA registered breeder. His cats are in a loving family home and the kittens are well socialized before finding their forever homes. SD provides all of the info and support if it is your first new kitten or you have had other furbabies. I would give 10* if that were an option. read more

I can't explain how grateful I am to have found Johnny at SD ragdolls! He was so patient with me and made sure to update me throughout the process of finding our perfect little kitty, Kona. At first, we were waiting for a different litter but when Johnny recognized there was a kitty that matched EXACTLY what I was looking for, he arranged for me to meet her. It was love at first sight! He is easy to reach, honest, and approachable. He answered all my questions (I have a LOT) with patience. I felt like I could trust him throughout the process, as he never rushed me to make a decision. We also have a purebred Russian Blue, so I can really speak to how Johnny stands out from other catteries. Also, his home is impeccably clean so I'm sure these kitties are raised with high standards as well! read more

We love our kitten. He is beyond sweet and gentle. The vet said he is healthy as can be. Birdie is a foodie and loves to eat and play these days. The breeder is very helpful in answering my questions and setting us up with the perfect color kitten. My only complaint would be the breeder lives in what felt was the middle of no where.. I'm an SD local so it was quite the trek to get the kitten. Ended up being a 12 hr day of driving since there is only one airport close with direct flights and non of which fit into when we were picking up. ANYWAYS, ragdolls are the best and you are in good hands here. :) read more

So happy with our Ragdoll baby cat. Really intelligent with a nice individual personality. The breeder was great all the way though from 1st viewing the kittens and deciding which type we wanted. Gave us some great advice on looking after him. Regularly checked in with us to see how he was doing. We're planning to get another Ragdoll from him soon to give our Asterix some company. read more

If you are looking for a kitten just stop looking, this is the perfect place. Giancarlo made me feel very safe about his kittens, the way he takes care of them and also how serious and responsible he is. Our baby born 2/2/22 and here is a couple pictures to show you about our experience. I bought a healthy kitten and at the best price SDragdolls are the best, never regret! read more

We just picked up our new kitty, Blue, and he is a dream! SD Ragdolls was awesome at answering all of my questions while we waited for our new kitten. Couldn't be happier with the experience and with our new kitten. Thank you SD Ragdolls! read more

How to review the place that gave us such an amazing cat! When we lost a dear cat, we decided his sister needed a companion. It was a tough decision, but we knew we needed a new boy. I contacted Giancarlo in early September 2020 and put a deposit down for an upcoming Millie and Jasper littler. I wanted a blue bicolor, and sure enough, as Giancarlo said, there was one. He told me he knew this guy was special and is he ever. Giancarlo was easy to work with, answered lots of questions, sent photos, and was great. We picked up our Bodie in early December and have been in love ever since. He is healthy and was so loving from day one. You can tell he was raised with love, and he continues to be wonderful. read more

This breedery went above and beyond for us. I was looking to purchase a kitten with poise and the right temperament for our calm lifestyle. The breeder walked me through the whole process by showing me the wonderful and clean living quarters he has set up for the breeder cats. I was able to spend time with the parents and interact with the kittens a number of times until I was sure I had bonded with one of the kittens. He sent several growth updates so we could stay in touch with the kittens as they were getting older. The kitten picked up once he had been weened off of the mother and that separation wasn't forced but gradual. The breeders house was always very clean and cozy. Here are some pictures of our little Kits read more
