Danielle was easy to reach and had clear communication. When we went to visit the dog we were interested in, we were not rushed and spent an hour with the dog before making a decision. Danielle was clear and direct with the adoption steps and even helped us schedule a low cost neutering appointment. Although very shy at first, our pup has blossomed into a great family dog with a ton of personality.

Adopted the sweetest pup from animal prayers. Communication from Danielle was excellent. We are so grateful to have been able to adopt and that there are people who are helping dogs find loving homes

We made a call to go see a specific dog and Danielle said she had two Maltipoo females she just rescued we could see right away. Ended up we came home with one of them. She was a mess, smelled like a toilet but I looked into her eyes and said she'd going to be fine, Now 3 months later we are so happy she's ours! Working with Danielle had been a pleasure. She's great at follow up and made the whole adoption process easy. We highly recommend Animal Prayers Rescue,

I don't generally like to be this blunt without further explanation, but I think the other 1 star reviews on here and the attached screenshot clearly show that there is something wrong with the owners here. There was nothing that my husband said (it was a very short, basic question, lol) that warranted such an aggressive and nonsensical response. If the dog being listed as available on PetFinder was a mistake, you could just say so. Also, what's with the sudden exclamation points? Please save yourself the confusion and don't even contact this place. I hope these dogs somehow find a safe and good home, away from the owners of this so-called shelter.

We got the sweetest new addition to our family thanks to Animal Prayers. This rescue truly cares about the animals they foster and wants to ensure they go to great homes. Danielle was super easy to deal with and was very accommodating to our schedule since we were coming from San Diego. Animal Prayers has so many wonderful animals that are still looking for homes. I can't thank Danielle and Animal Prayers enough for our darling little baby. A+++++

The adoption of Ollie was quick and easy. We met at a convenient place interviewed each other and then met and interacted with Ollie. Since it seemed a good match I was able to take him home immediately. The rescue gave me both the good and bad qualities of Ollie, (likes to counter surf), and it was a good description. I am happy to welcome Ollie into my home.

I inquired about rescuing one of their dogs they had advertised on PetFinder and the email attached is how they responded to my inquiry. Extremely rude & unprofessional attitude. My response to their email and then their final response. AVOID!!!

Sent an inquiry to ask if a specific dog was still available and how much the adoption fee was. Got a reply that info is on the page. Total bs! There's no info on the page.

I can't say enough amazing things about this rescue! From start to finish, the entire experience was positive, organized, and full of genuine care for the animals. You can truly tell that everyone here is passionate about finding the right homes for their pets. A very special thank you to Danielle ,she was absolutely incredible throughout the whole process. She was kind, knowledgeable, patient, and always willing to answer my (many!) questions. Danielle made sure I felt confident and prepared before bringing my puppy home, and it was clear how much she truly cares about both the animals and the families adopting them. Thanks to this rescue and Danielle's support, I found the perfect addition to my family. I'm beyond grateful and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to adopt.

I tried to inquire two times via email about available dogs that were listed online. After a week delay, they got back to me and said the dogs were adopted already but gave me the names of two other dogs and a link to apply for them. Those two dogs were not listed anywhere online. I replied in a nice way, saying that I would like to meet and see any dogs before applying to adopt (obviously) but then the person at the rescue sent back an incredibly rude reply!!! I couldn't believe it! I get the sense that this is not a real adoption organization, or they are just incredibly unprofessional! Adopters beware

I had the best experience adopting our sweet Rocky from Animal Prayers. The process was quick but thorough. They do charge an adopting fee which covers medical expenses and other costs to keep the rescue going. This is true of all rescues now. I saw Rocky on the website at 9am and Danielle got Rocky to me by 3pm that day. I truly, appreciate this rescue and what they do to save these sweet, helpless animals.

With the same thinking, it would not be fair to have a dog here ......unless of course it lived indoors with us. We were blindsided when our son brought Buffy two years ago. He just showed up, and like "Here!" She followed him everywhere from one end of the house to the other and back and forth. When he left she cried and whimpered. I laid down on the floor with her and she looked at me with soulful brown eyes, pleading, "Please help me!" I cried and hugged her and told her, "I love you!" That was it! She was mine. It took some adjusting to my new mommy role added on top of the other things I do everyday. When it became apparent I was keeping her, I contacted GTTDR and spoke with Marcy. She explained their dogs are never to be taken out of state and that she wanted to send someone to Las Vegas to do a home inspection. Laurie came for the visit and saw how happy Buffy was. I allowed her to take photos and send it to Marcy. Laurie seemed pleased that Buffy had a good home, but was quite prepared to take her back to California if requirements weren't met. Marcy said, "So I hear your home is fabulous......" I was impressed that GTTDR went to such lengths. Thanks to Heather also for rescuing Buffy from a kill shelter. Two years later, we love Buffy more than you can imagine. She is family. She is three now. Though she is my primary responsibility for care, etc. she loves her dad and her grandma who lives with us. She gets three walks a day at three different parks in the area. She has tons of doggy and people friends and she loves to run and chase birds, rabbits and chipmunks. She is the fastest runner at any of the parks. Her vet says she's athletic, referring to her muscle tone. In the beginning she couldn't walk on a leash without pulling. She barked at everyone and every dog even if it were two blocks away. Now, she walks off-leash, listens to commands, understands everything I say, and has helped other dogs come out of their shell. She wants to be friends with all dogs with the exception of one. She looks to me to see if I give the okay to say 'hello' and she wags her tail and goes to the other dog/s. She is the sweetest soul you will ever meet. Everyone loves Buffy. She is good when visitors come and loves attention they give. She has such confidence and isn't shy about gentle pawing to get more rubs. On our walk this morning, she turned back to look at me with such a loving look, my friend asked, "What was that look?" I said, "She loves me!" He said, "That's what it looked like!" I'm happy she's ours. She deserves a good home and all the love she gets. She is secure and happy. Don't buy. Rescue!

After just 5 days they transferred it to a Rescue. The process was so secretive that Animal Control would not even tell me the name of the rescue service. After some serious digging I found out the cat had been transferred to Rover Rescue. They're almost 900 miles away even though we have several rescues within 50 miles. I immediately called Rover Rescue and found out they did have the cat and that it will be going to an adoption event this weekend. They REFUSED to tell me where the event was being held. I wasn't trying to get preferential treatment. I just wanted to have an equal opportunity to re-adopt this cat that has lived with me for the last year and a half and they refused to tell me where it was. Clearly they are not interested in getting animals back with loving families. I really hope it ends up with a good family but it was a stray I took off the streets. It had settled into our family very well. Now they are going to make the cat go through that again. It's also very concerning to me about how secretive the process is, even the name of the organization. Don't know anything about them except today's very inadequate interaction but that level of secrecy is not a good sign.

I can't tell you how much I hoped the rescue wouldn't pick her up and she'd be all mine. But Rover Rescue did come to her rescue. I called them minutes after finding out she had left the shelter. I had to leave a message and I figured I'd get the ball rolling and fill out the application. Kathy returned my call promptly we spoke about the dog. And several days later I picked up my girl from the Vet. Kathy was very helpful and thoughtful with her advice. Foxy came with a leash and a collar and we were given a bag of food to get us started. I love this organization, they do amazing work rescuing IMO the most adorable pooches. I want another one but I don't think Ms. Foxy is ready for a buddy quite yet. IMO the rescue fee is comparable and totally fair. You get a itemized list of all the fees they pay while the dog in their care. You don't have an obligation to pay those fees but it really did show me how much money it does take to save these animals.
