I went to SD Power Customs with the intention of getting my window tint done until I saw Diamond Star Auto Glass next door. The employee at SD Power Customs was passive-aggressive when I mentioned checking prices next door at Diamond Star Auto Glass, making me feel obligated to leave my car with him. While I was getting a quote at Diamond Star, the SD Power Customs employee precut my window tint before any written agreement was made. He was still working on another car in the garage at the time. To make matters worse, the employee called his boss, who demanded I pay $100 for window tint that hadn't even been installed. To avoid further conflict, I reluctantly paid the $100. When the precut tint was later observed by a professional, it was discovered to be incomplete, missing half of a window and totally unusable when told it was the 5 back windows. I spoke with the owner over the phone to get a quote and he quoted me $250 for the Wrap on my 2008 Corvette roof and he said it would take about 45 minutes. $400 in four hours later I finally drove out of his facility. . After about a week, I contacted him to let him know that the Wrap was not smooth and glossy like he promised. he told me to wait another week. I just contacted him recently and told him that I wanted the Wrap removed and my money back due to the orange peel condition. He has all been ignored me. You wanna stay away from this business, they don't care anything about their customers. This place is a scam. My son took his car 2016 Scion FRS there for body work. They told my son that the rear quarter panel needed to be replaced. They estimated the job at $2000. It took 22 days to complete the job. We paid for it and picked up the car. Not even 1 year after the job was done. A hole started showing up in the finder area. After inspecting the inside of the finder, I found out that they used bondo to repair the finder. My son contacted the shop and asked for Miguel. Which I think he's the owner. Every time my son called, he was told that he's not available. They kept saying that for a long time. Then, he got hold of him. He told him what happened. And that there's a hole in the finder. He told my son that we had to use bondo to shape the fender area. And the warranty is expired. It's just ridiculous. I don't understand how do you use bondo on a part that was supposedly be replaced not repaired. $2000, 22 days for bondo job. Well, since they don't want to take care of the issue, I'm going to seek other ways to get this issue taken care of. read more

Confused, I decided to ask for a refund, but this individual gave me more trouble. He claims that there is a restocking fee. There is no word or indication of this fee on the website nor agreement upon purchase of such fees. He says it's a "flat rate," which I still do not know how calculated. Terrible customer service. When I dropped off my Tesla, I verified the quote and time of pickup that I was given by the owner, Miguel. Halfway through the job, Miguel increased the price, saying the job was more than he expected. He kept the car 2 additional days before completing the job. When I picked up the car, the white interior was all dirty, and the black hood had a scratch. Miguel took no responsibility. In protest, I paid with a credit card. As an additional cost, they charge a service fee. It's another hidden cost in addition to the increased price to complete the job. Do not take your car here. First off, let me start by saying my past experiences with SD POWER CUSTOMS has never been this appalling. I have done business with this establishment on multiple occasions and never would I have thought I would find myself waiting twelve hours for a routine three hour tint job. I initially was told by four o'clock pm my vehicle would be done and delivered back to my possession and when the time came for me to retrieve my vehicle, I was told the rear wind shield tint had cracked, they would have to do it over and it would take any where between one to three hours. I then returned at seven after waiting six hours in total just to hear the same thing had occurred again. Needless to say, I found myself waiting until twelve in the morning for the finished product. I brought my vehicle in at exactly 10:47am and didn't leave SD POWER CUSTOMS until 12:12am the next morning; not because they were busy and couldn't get to my car but because they couldn't get the work done right. Worst experience I've ever had with a business / business owner. The sheer lack of empathy, kindness, or ability to take responsibility for the mistakes they made was truly remarkable. Not a shred of professionalism to be found. Go anywhere but here. My story- Called and was told they could do $150 to replace my bubbled tint on my back window. Went in a few days later and was told $250. After a cringeworthy exchange he said he had to call the owner and ask if they could do $150 as it could have been a daily promotion. He then comes back after being on the phone with the "owner" and says he can do for $150. I later find out that he is the owner when I ask for the owners information. That was one of the weirdest conversations I've ever had when I asked who it was he talking to about the price. Anyways, I bring my car back the next day and was told it would be done by 7pm and would look brand new. I call at 7:45 and ask if my cars done. "Oh I thought you were leaving it overnight". After another cringeworthy conversation I go to pick up my car. I ask about the bubbles that are all around the window on the tint and I'm reassured they will go away in a couple days. Call back one week later and I'm reassured again they will go away in a couple weeks. Call a couple weeks later and he says to bring it in so they can look at it. He then reassures me he will get back to me with a date to bring it in. Two weeks later after no reply I call and tell him I'm bringing in my car and he agrees and says they can fix it. I drop it off and i'm then told they can make it look better but not completely fix it. After yet another cringeworthy conversation he agrees to replace it. I go to pick up my car and there are more spots. He reassured me they will go away in a couple days. I then begin pointing out all the spots and they end up taking my car back into the shop. 5 min later we are looking at the window again. He tells me to look at the tint from inside of the car to shown me it's just water spots that will go away. I've heard that before. When I take a look I see black finger marks on the roof of my car. I proceed to express my frustrations and he says "we didn't do that and it was already there but we can clean it". Livid at this point I ask for my keys and leave. Not once were the words I'm sorry expressed throughout this long exhausting ordeal. Word of advice for the owner - Hire someone qualified to run your business and interact with customers. read more
