I'd like give 5 stars to sitters (Misty and Kimberly and Scott) for their great service and taking care of our cats when we needed them. Specifically, Misty was wonderful and we were super happy with her service. Her reports were very detailed and I can tell that our cats were happy hanging out with Misty too. However, this review is more on Scott who runs the business. I've asked Scott's pet service company three times. And for two out of three I had negative experience with the way Scott behaved or talked to me. I'd give 1 star to Scott's behavior, due to a disappointing experience that I had interacting with him. Scott's negative attitude and lack of respect made me uncomfortable. The way he talks is as if he is the guardian of all the cats in the world and he knows more about our cats than we do Scott gave me the impression that he tries to bust me, or initimidate and undermine me. A good sitter should respect the owner's wishes and follow their routines that they have established through years of living and loving their cats. But what I saw from Scott was completely opposite. He kept interfering with our routines and trying to undermine our decisions. The way he behaves is as if we have to report to him for the decisions and routines that we have for our cats with whom we've had the pleasure of living for over 3 years. This is not acceptable. He should more mindful of the way he interacts & talks with people and respect their privacy and routines. read more

No matter whether the duration of the service is a week or 2 or just a last minute dog walk when I don't want to leave Archie alone for a long period of time, Scott and his team are always happy to accommodate. Scott and his team are amazing. Text or call he always answers. He is very thorough and takes his business seriously. We found him on yelp and looked at a lot of things, one being price. His prices are great and definitely not over charged. Two, he comes to your home to meet you and your animals. I think this is super important just in case one doesn't get along or if your animal needs to ease up to a stranger. My and my boyfriend have two carts and we feel that when Scott comes they are always in good hands. I have used him 3 times now and feel safe having him in my home and with my animals. This is probably the best best pet sitting you could have in all North County. My cat was really having a hard time with us gone and had stopped eating, which is scary, but the pet sitter (Heather!) noticed right away and hid some treats in his bowl - that did the trick! They also will do things like litter box changing, plant watering, and taking in your mail. These people really care about animals and understand how to take care of them. I can't say enough great things about SD Pet Concierge! The last time we left town for the weekend, Scott asked if we would be okay having another one of his team (Joanna) take care of our pups. Of course, we trust Scott and therefore said, yes. However, prior to confirming Joanna, Scott personally brought her over to our house to ensure we were comfortable with her. It was a no brainer...Joanna was wonderful, personable and clearly an animal lover. The dogs responded to her right away and that is what is most important to us! We loved the fact that Joanna was in close contact with us throughout the entire weekend, updating us as to how the dogs were doing, sending us pictures and letting us know when she was coming and going. Our dogs are our "kids" and knowing we have someone at home with them who is keeping them safe and giving them lots of love allows us to truly relax and enjoy our time away! Scott is amazing. Amazing. I've used Rover and other iterations of that service, and Scott blows them out of the water. I've never met someone more dedicated to providing quality service and care for my dog. Truly, Scott treats my nutso German Short Haired Pointer Eloise as a member of his extended dog family. His walkers and caregivers do an excellent job with her, sending me picture updates and making sure she gets all the love and exercise she needs while I am at work or out of town. Hi. I have a wonderful lab that means the world to me and my family. In the past I have had a hard time arranging who will take care of him when we left for a few days. I was referred to SD Pet Concierge. They met with me prior to me leaving. They went above and beyond to know any and all of our expectations. We have had many sitters throughout the years but Scott definitely is one of the best we have had the pleasure of working with. He is very knowledgeable about dogs and has not only cared for many animals through his business but has spent many hours of his life caring for animals of all shapes and sizes from local rescue groups. Our two pups immediately took a liking to him and trusted him which is always a great sign for us. Our dogs are a bit special as they need a lot of attention when it comes to exercise and they also have dietary needs. They are on a specific diet with lots of additional supplementation and despite there being a learning curve, Scott was easily able to handle their needs. We also like Scott because is very responsive and was excellent about checking in with us several times daily and sending us photo and text updates. One thing that also stuck out was that when he came over for the consultation is that he brought a journal to take notes in as well as asked a lot of excellent questions. This immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. One of our two dogs was not feeling like walking as far as the other and so he made it a point to separately walk them at all walking times. He also was great house guest and left the house in spotless condition. He even stripped and washed the bed sheets which was beyond impressive to us as well. Overall we were very happy with the level of service, love to the dogs and attentive care that he provided.
