I came here for the first time about 6 years ago. Since then I've recommended people but haven't come back myself until today. We needed carry ons for the family. My daughter had fallen in love with a yellow carry on at a local retailer but it was 79 we came here and they had one! We went to the "clearance" area and got an amazing deal. She walked away happy. Great customer service. Great selection. Even better prices! We will continue to recommend people

Amazing service , if you need a piece of luggage, or something for travel do yourself a favor San Diego.....SD Luggage. Forget Fashion Island or running around to cheap store to buy, come here! They have everything you need from small to large, from sale items to high end, but the quality is fantastic! The owner is knowledgeable, helpful and fair. He saved me after a luggage emergency and his stock is fantastic. SD Luggage for the win.

Great quality luggage at great pricing.

I've been coming here for years! Great pricing for the quality and can't beat it! The owners are extremely nice and helpful. They have a great variety of luggage as well as travel supplies. They are always happy to help and the owner even gave me a gift for being a repeat customer. I love this place and recommend it to everyone I know.

Super cute store located next to 7-11. The luggage are all great with reasonable prices! They even have a scale so you can measure the weight of the luggage! The worker was very nice. Don't forget to check in when you make your purchase so you can get a freebie.

    Cute colors!

Like every hotel in downtown, the parking is astronomical. They do have valet or self parking which I really appreciate! We stayed 2 nights over a busy Memorial Day weekend. Due to my status, I was upgraded to a high floor room. The moment we walked in, we had to leave. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. We tried to call downstairs but the phone doesn't work. We had to walk back downstairs. We were given $50 credit for the trouble. Our next room was better. Unfortunately, the credit never showed up and I contested it the next day. They took my word for it and added it. Because of my globalist status, I get access to the club lounge. I highly recommend it as they have drinks all day. They have breakfast and dinner. Plus they have dessert and snacks. The only thing that dampened the stay was that they closed the lounge for refurbishment the day we checked out. Otherwise, breakfast is served in the lobby bar which was sufficient. This hotel is mostly for events, business and weddings but I find that the lounge and location more than make up for it!

This was our first, and most likely our last time staying here…read more My husband and I checked in on 09-11-26, checked out 09-13-16. The front desk receptionist, Basel & the pool were the only good things about this hotel. When I checked in, I requested that our room was serviced every day. But I was informed about 2 balances I needed to pay. Which I paid 1 & a half. So after checking in & a nap after our 2+ hour drive, I came back down to the lobby to pay my balance. I was informed that I was unable to pay my full stay's remaining balance as previously informed by Basel that I could just a few hours prior. I was informed by this new receptionist that I could pay today's remaining balance, then come back tomorrow to pay the rest. But the problem was that I wasn't going to be around tomorrow to pay that remaining balance. So I went back up to my room frustrated. At 11:28pm I get a "FRAUD ALERT" on my phone from my bank for $298.59. So I called down to the front desk to figure out why, since my remaining balance was less than that. After maybe 15 minutes or more of being on the phone I get told I can come down to the lobby to pay my remaining balance IN FULL. Which was frustrating because I was told earlier that day I wasn't able to do that. So I come down in my PJs to pay my balance with my physical card in hand. I get to the front desk and am explaining my frustrations to the gentleman at the front desk. I never once get an apology, but instead I get told "Well, there's nothing we can do about it tonight because everything is closed" NO DUH, IT'S 11:30pm!! So I get told they can do something about it tomorrow, to which I was satisfied. But when I brought out my card to pay, I was told I didn't need that to settle my balance. SO I DIDN'T EVEN NEED TO BE DOWN HERE?? Mind you, I had a long day the next day, and wanted to wake up early. So I go back up to my room frustrated. The next morning I called down as I was getting ready to leave for the day. I let them know I was informed that I was going to be compensated for the frustrating experience I've had all in the 1ST DAY OF OUR STAY MIND YOU. And was told that they would send up a bottle of champagne that would wait for us when we got back from our full, long day. Satisfied, I hang up & leave for the day. I come back & our room was never serviced, nor was there champagne ANYWHERE to be found. At that point I was furious. I go to check out the next morning, and a blonde woman, who I assumed to be a manager or lead of some kind was greeting everyone in the check-in/check out line. When she got to me, I explained everything that happened and she brought me over to Basel to check out. In which it was decided that as compensation, I would get my parking fee money back from the remaining balance that I already paid. Which I accepted. I still have yet to receive that money. Update: I received the money, but have yet to hear back after calling corporate about my stay

I originally left a review back in 2022 and initially gave 4 stars. However, after careful…read moreconsideration and having stayed again. I realized I was too generous. There are a lot of things to unpack after my most recent visit. And maybe now that I've stayed at other hotels some of the cracks are really starting to show. First is location. At first I dismissed this as ok, but really. When you're on vacation in San Diego, especially coming from a place like OC the driving can be chaotic by our day to day standards. Other neighborhoods such as Gaslamp, Hillcrest, Little Italy, etc all have access to reliable and affordable public transit. This hotel? Not so much, so expect to do a lot of driving. Secondly, they are not at all transparent about their rates. In the past most of my travel here was booked by my company. I've since changed jobs and no longer travel for work, so when it comes to personal travel these fees matter a lot. Also the paid breakfast was far too expensive for the quality considering many comparable restaurants have free breakfasts. Many have reported cleanliness issues. Thankfully I've been lucky to get surprisingly decent rooms, however the bathroom shower quality has been poor. With clearly aging infrastructure and very low water pressure. The AC unit like many other hotels has a weird quality where it ranges from Artic Circle to inside of a volcano. Finally let's talk atmosphere. Because I think younger me was more lenient. But as an at the time solo business traveler I didn't really care. At the end of the day I just wanted a bed to crash on. Now as an adult traveling with my wife it's not ideal. The hotel itself has a sort of eerie feeling in the hallways that's hard to explain. And the surrounding industrial noise can be quite intense.

I was in San Diego for work for over a week and chose Four Points by Sheraton because it was one of…read morethe more affordable options I could find. At around $120 a night, I wasn't expecting luxury, but I did expect a reasonably clean and comfortable hotel. This was honestly one of the worst hotel stays I have ever had. The lobby looks decent and there is plenty of parking, so when I first arrived I thought it would be fine. The second you walk past the lobby, though, it feels like you walked into an abandoned mental institution. The hallways are extremely old, dark, dated and eerily quiet. And when I say quiet, I mean there is basically NO soundproofing. You can hear everything. Around 11:45 AM, I left my first-floor room to walk to my car and could hear extremely loud moaning coming from one of the guest rooms. I couldn't even tell whether it was coming from the first, second or third floor because the sound carried so loudly through the common area. Anyone walking through the hotel could clearly hear other guests having sex. There is absolutely no sense of privacy in this place. The rooms are somehow even worse. Everything looks extremely old and worn down. The AC does get very cold, the pillows weren't bad and the bedding itself was okay, but that is about the only positive thing I can say. The bathroom and everything else in the room looked so dirty and dated that I genuinely did not want my bare skin touching anything. After my third night, I woke up starting to feel sick, which made me even more concerned about how sanitary this place actually was. Then I came back to my original room on the third floor, opened the door and found TWO huge LIVE cockroaches crawling on the wall right next to the full-length mirror. I immediately called the front desk and they moved me to another room on the first floor. The replacement room had its own problems. The blackout curtains are basically useless because they don't reach the floor and aren't long enough to properly cover the window, so sunlight still comes straight into the room in the morning. But somehow that wasn't even the worst part. On my fourth day staying here, I came back to the hotel, walked into the bathroom of my new room and found another giant cockroach, this time DEAD on the floor right next to the toilet between the toilet and the shower. At that point I was completely disgusted. I had now encountered cockroaches in TWO DIFFERENT ROOMS on TWO DIFFERENT FLOORS. All I could think about was whether these things were crawling around the room while I was sleeping or crawling through my luggage and belongings. I shouldn't have to inspect the walls, bathroom and floor every time I walk into a hotel room. What makes it even worse is that the cockroaches didn't seem to be treated like that big of a deal. The reactions I received made it feel like this was something they were used to dealing with rather than something completely unacceptable happening to a guest. At this point, it seriously felt like the cockroaches were regulars here. Between the roaches, dirty and extremely dated rooms, useless blackout curtains, terrible soundproofing and overall neglected condition of the property, I was completely grossed out. This is the kind of place where I genuinely did not even want my skin touching anything in the room. I ultimately SHORTENED MY STAY and decided to check out Monday morning instead of staying the additional two nights I had originally booked. That is how bad this hotel was. I was in San Diego for work and obviously needed somewhere to stay, so leaving a prepaid/reserved hotel early was not something I wanted to deal with, but I genuinely could not stand staying here any longer. For a Marriott/Sheraton property, this is completely unacceptable. Being older or more affordable does not excuse filthy conditions, multiple cockroaches or a hotel that feels like it has been neglected for decades. This property desperately needs to be renovated, professionally deep cleaned and properly treated for pests. I would absolutely never stay here again and cannot recommend it to anyone in its current condition.
