My beloved Sasha getting her new 12v.
Christa W.

Fantastic service and so fast! I had put off getting a new auxiliary battery for the last 3 months (thank you quarantine), and was just using a jump kit to move my beautiful Sasha, a 2008 Prius, as needed. So, maybe 2 times in 4 months. I know, bad owner, but I live downtown and with the parking tickets being on hold, I had no reason to drive after I was laid off. Anyhoo, I called yesterday and talked to Will very briefly who told me to simply stop by in the morning, so I did. I jumped little Sasha and headed out, arriving around 10am. By 1015, Sasha was good to go and after another few minutes checking out, we were back on the road for the first time since March 15th. I set my clock at 1020 at the gas station. I can't say enough about how fast and easy the service was. Best part? No lecture on treating my beloved car like absolute crap. My dad had his own auto repair shop for decades in Akron, OH, and would have been aghast at how poorly I've treated my little car during quarantine. He's passed on and I'll admit, I've been pretty lax at finding someone I could trust to work on my car without dad's guidance and approval, but I think that chore is handled, now. Sure, it was just a battery swap, but I based my choice on all of the reviews I had read and they were legit. I was treated promptly, fairly, and not made to feel like a total dumbsh*t. Long story longer I think I've found Sasha's fix it guy for the future. They also had lots of other hybrids there for sale and they looked sharp! Tl:dr - great service, honest pricing, personable people. Oh, and the (619) number listed on google doesn't seem to be correct. The (858) number was the one that I got through on. Just a heads up, there. Thanks again, Will! Wish I had done this sooner. :)

Super friendly and fast! Also had the best prices after I looked at nearby prices to try and get a new 12v battery.

Apparently they also fix/diagnose hybrid cars here!…read more My prius prime had a warning that "hybrid system malfunctioned" so I was stuck struggling to operate the vehicle for 2 days... The morning of the visit, lo and behold, the error code went away, took it to this shop anyways to see if they can find anything, nothing showed up on the OB2 scanner... They didn't charge me and just told me to monitor and come back if there's any issues, 10/10 for honest people!

Avoid This Shop - Deceptive Pricing and Shady Billing Practices…read more I was ready to do both repairs with them until the sketchy behavior started. Initial estimate: $1k-2k (rear) + $3k-4k (front). After $100 inspection, jumped to $5.3k (front) + $2.9k (rear). Red flags: David insisted $600 trunk repair "wouldn't be good enough" for my Tesla lease, pushed $2.9k replacement. After they missed bumper damage ($600), he suddenly said repair would "look just fine" and offered to "make it even at $2.9k." That's $1,200 worth of work for $2,900--when I asked for itemized invoices, he refused and ghosted me, claiming "system doesn't allow it." At pickup, they handed me an invoice for $4.1k. Then printed a SECOND invoice--same $4.1k total but R&R costs, labor, and parts had shifted by hundreds of dollars, plus a mysterious $1,322 "discount" we never received. How do line items change while the total stays identical? Called my mom (an accountant) to review. After nearly 2 hours of them insulting her for asking legitimate questions, they claimed it was "accounting between two shops to avoid double-taxing our deposit"--ironic since they offered $300 cash discount to dodge taxes. Staff contradicted themselves: first said OEM part (explaining scratches), then insisted it was "brand new" when questioned. Found a PDR specialist who did the rear for $600 (vs their $2,900)--excellent work. Also: they're NOT Tesla-certified despite advertising "certified Tesla technicians". Brought in my 2017 Kia Niro with 97k miles for a paid inspection with the idea that if there were…read moreany issues covered under Kia's 100k powertrain and hybrid warranties I could bring in a 3rd party to advocate for me with the dealer. Or if there were major issues to expect down the road, I could look into getting a new car instead of fixing this one. Ethan V. greeted me on his lunch break but made sure to listen to why I was there and gave me an idea of how long the wait would be and what to expect. Fortunately the car had a nearly clean bill of health. That is to be expected because I kept up with regular maintenance on the car. But they did recommend a few items to address to extend the useful life of the car: (1) Control Arms and Bushings had moderate wear, (2) my second set of tires had 3mm of tread, (3) the cabin air filter was a little worse for wear. My main concern, and why I brought it to this shop, was for hybrid red flags like battery issues. As Ethan explained to me, without taking apart the hybrid battery, it would not be possible to give a comprehensive health check for it. But since there were no error codes that came up that would indicate a problem with the hybrid system, the battery was still in good condition. He mentioned an anecdote of other Niros he's seen that that had 200k with the original battery to allay my concerns. He mentioned that I should also consider replacing the spark plugs probably due the mileage of the car. After giving me an estimate on what the cost would be if I decided to have them work on the issues, he said he could apply the paid inspection cost on the work if I decided to proceed in the next 30 days. Overall I had a great first visit with Electron and would consider returning if I decide to move forward with the recommended upkeep repairs.

Christian and Ethan are outstanding and kind! Their care to their customers shines through. The waiting area was very beautiful and calm. Usually car repair shops are dirty and loud. She even got new bling!
