Summary: No called-no showed twice, sloppy workmanship, and possible code violation. On the first day, neither electrician spoke English, making it difficult for either of us to ask questions and understand what was happening. day, SD Electric ended up misdiagnosing the problem as a bad circuit breaker. The circuit breaker they used as a replacement is clearly used and somehow looks much older than the 50-year-old breakers already installed. The problem returned that night. I scheduled a second appointment and while SD Electric initially scheduled an quick follow-up appointment, they ended up not showing up without so much as a phone call. I reached out again and scheduled an appointment for another day and again, SD Electric no-called, no-showed. Once they finally showed up at the third appointment time, the new electrician found the issue was with the kitchen outlet. SD Electric did a sloppy job replacing the outlet, leaving electrical tape hanging out of the front of the outlet. Finally, they also used a standard outlet on a kitchen countertop where I am fairly sure the electrical code requires a GFCI. 0/5 stars would not recommend. read more
