After over a few days of contacting multiple handyman and electricians directly with for whatever reason the job could not be done right away, due to they were booked up , or due to safety concerns with no success. I finally got lucky when I reached out to Electrician Pros office manager Giselle Tuesday who assigned and scheduled me an appointment 9:30-11:30am with Ochoa Electric on Wednesday, and I am very pleased with assistance I received from Ed & Phil who came out , inspected/evaluated what was required to have my old cheap light fan exhaust removed and replaced with my brand new AKDY 30 inch Ducted/Ductless Island Range Hood and quoted me a very reasonable competitive price which I was very happy with, informed me that I had a ducted system that vented to outside of home, and was able have Giselle scheduled the job for the very next day (Thursday). Today Jose and Alvin from Ochoa Electric promptly arrived as promised 9.30am. Both Jose and Alvin were very patient, professional and respectful while providing outstanding customer service going above and beyond ensuring the job was done safely and correctly. They exhibited dedication in every step they took to safely, carefully and meticulously remove the old exhaust fan light which was definitely a safety issue. I am grateful for all their attention to detail, hard work going above and beyond what was requested of them from start to finish of the job even though it was a bit tricky taking til 3:39pm , and eagerly assembled newly purchased range hood, and always keeping the work space organized, neat, and clean. Customer service: Was really good through the Yelp app. If I had one complaint, it would be better phone communication, they were hard to reach by phone. Installation: they made sure everything was covered and cleaned up after themselves. The patch work was very minor, which was nice. The texture could have been done a little better but they aren't drywall experts. They did offer to paint the patch, but we decided to do it ourselves. I found Ochoa Electric when I needed an electric panel upgrade and they gave a competitive bid and fit me into their schedule in time for my SDG&E appointment. Other electricians had said it was a complicated installation but Ochoa has a "can do" attitude. Their crew is experienced, knowledgeable, and efficient and found creative solutions for obstacles that troubled the other bidders. I was so happy with their work that I hired them to rewire my old house! They grounded all the outlets, solved the mysteries of my circuits which caused power outages last winter, added new recessed lighting, and created a map of my circuits and then dedicated one for the kitchen and add a few new ones that I needed for modern appliances. They also sorted out some anomalies, such as the microwave being on the same circuit as the laundry room, and paired it more logically with the stove. Then last week when my water heater exploded, they found time to come on short notice to set up a new circuit for my new electric water heater. What I love the most about this team is that they alert me to problems and ask me before doing anything that's not in the plan. Then they're willing to troubleshoot problems and find a variety of solutions if I don't like the first idea they offer me, versus so many contractors who just do whatever without even alerting me to an issue and asking my opinion. What a great find. Responded to my request for a quote and was able to do the job the same week. Had them install separate switches to items on a single switch, install new lights and canisters, relocated dining table light so it could be in the centered now and then put my battery powered Ring door bell on wires so it would self charge.
