Not recommended. Requirement of $85.00 per hour for design consultations is unreasonable and discourteous.

We really had no firm ideas of our own regarding how to develop the backyard, but Brandon came out and gave us some really fantastic design options. After consulting with other businesses, we decided to go with Dream Green Landscape. After we explain to Brandon exactly how we would like to use the backyard, he came up with a perfect configuration that combined pebble, concrete, and succulent plants. Brandon sent us all of the potential plants we could use, but we ultimately trusted his creative vision and allowed him full reign to pick whatever he thought would look best. Brandon has an impressive crew that came out and did the work alongside Brandon. They laid irrigation, put in the plants, the ground cover, and the concrete. The final product is amazing. We love our backyard, and with Brandon's efforts, it has been transformed into a wonderful serene environment that we enjoy spending time in. Brandon warranties all plants for 6 months, and when a few plants didn't look particularly healthy, he came out and replaced all four of them no questions asked. I've hired plenty of contractors in my day, but the real test of customer service is how well they treat you after you've parted with your money. Brandon was just as responsive and customer service oriented in replacing these plants as he was in getting our business in the first place. Several of my neighbors who are considering similar projects have viewed and loved the work Brandon did in our backyard. They are currently working with Brandon on their own projects. We've been so pleased we're considering now removing the grass in our front yard and having Brandon put together a design to replace our front grass with drought resistant landscaping. I can't recommend this company enough. Brandon is a true pro and a credit to his craft.

We really appreciated that he lent us his creative input and helped us figure out what we really wanted without pressure. We went back and forth a bunch and he was great. I was impressed by the size of this nursery, the variety of trees, sizes available for purchase, health of the plants and soil they come in, and of course, Maribel, who has been so helpful and patient while I design my landscape. Maribel helped us choose trees that were within our budget, showed us how to trim them, and helped us with design ideas for our space. When I told her I needed fragrant trees, with small (non invasive root systems), that only grew a certain size, she quickly texted me a variety of choices, then drove us around her nursery showing us all the trees. She's incredibly knowledgeable, easy to work with, and is available always to answer our questions. She makes every member of my family feel special (especially my niece/nephew that have visited the nursery with me). When I show her pictures of what I'm looking to accomplish she can quickly tell me the names and characteristics of the plants I like. She's just amazing!!! I highly recommend Maribel and I can't wait to come back and visit when I'm redoing the landscape in a different property.

We love working with Danny. We've now hired him and his team for three projects: replacing exterior…read moredoors and repairing drywall, replacing our HVAC system and ducts, and removing two ficus trees and installing a concrete pad for a shed. His team is professional, the work has been excellent, and Danny makes the whole process easier on us as homeowners. The doors and drywall came out beautifully, during that project recommended a shade mesh above our hot tub, and installed it free of charge (great recommendation). With the new HVAC and ductwork, our house now heats much more evenly than it did before. He also replaced the large, unattractive platform under our old rooftop unit with a much smaller, nicer-looking one and did a flawless job repairing the roof around it. He's not once asked us for a change order. What really makes us recommend Danny, though, is how he handles problems. Our new HVAC wasn't working on a very hot day in August. Before we even asked, and before he knew what was causing the problem, he offered to pay for a hotel room that night and brought over an AC unit to try to cool our bedroom. When he discovered the next day that the problem was a wiring issue on his team's end, he told us directly and got it taken care of. We really appreciated both the honesty and the fact that his first instinct was to help us, at his own expense, before he even knew whether the issue was his responsibility. On another occasion, when we mentioned some very minor property damage caused by his crew and specifically said we weren't asking to be compensated, he reimbursed us anyway. We really appreciate not having to argue or chase someone down to make things right. He's also a genuinely thoughtful person. He offered to put up a mezuzah for us at no charge. Our daughter was born early the day before the tree-removal project, and Danny handled the work while we were in the hospital. The finished project came out perfectly, and he even got us a balloon and chocolate to celebrate her arrival. Those personal touches aren't something we expect from a contractor, but we certainly appreciate them. Danny isn't the cheapest, but we feel the quality of the work and the attention he gives his customers are worth paying for. He knows what he's talking about, gives us straight answers, and follows through. Beyond all of that, we just enjoy working with him. We're now preparing for our next project with Danny: finally converting our garage into an ADU. Having worked with him on three projects already, we feel really good about trusting him with this one. We would absolutely recommend him.

What made this project especially important to us was that we managed the entire job remotely from our home in Northern California. Danny made that process remarkably easy. He communicated consistently, answered every question thoroughly, sent frequent photos and videos, and kept us informed throughout the preparation and installation. We never felt out of the loop. The quality of the work was outstanding. Their team removed the existing decomposed granite, properly prepared and graded the area, installed and compacted a base, added the weed barrier, carefully laid and trimmed the turf around curved borders and existing stepping stones, secured the edges and seams, applied the upgraded zeolite infill, and power-broomed the finished surface. They clearly cared about the details--not just whether it looks good on installation day. Danny also stood out during the bidding process. We received several quotes, and he was transparent about the exact turf product, specifications, backing, base preparation, and infill options. He did not simply recommend the most expensive upgrade. Instead, he explained what he believed was the best balance of durability, appearance, and long-term value for a family rental property. That honesty gave us a great deal of confidence. The finished yard looks great. The turf has a lush, natural appearance, the curved edges and transitions were handled beautifully, and the existing pavers, mature landscaping, and black lava-rock planter areas were preserved and integrated very well. Most importantly, our tenants are thrilled with the result, and so are we. Danny and his crew were professional, responsive, easy to work with, and clearly took pride in doing a quality job. Managing a major landscaping project from several hundred miles away could have been stressful, but they made it straightforward and reassuring. We would absolutely recommend My Cali Builders to anyone considering artificial turf or outdoor improvements. They earned every one of these five stars.

They transformed the outside of our home, and it now looks and feels like a magazine spread! Just today, I received compliments from two separate strangers on the front yard. We constantly get compliments on the appearance of our home. Samantha was the landscape architect who created the design, and it was amazing to see her lay out the vision. She saved us space in ways I definitely couldn't have conceived of on my own. She said the remodel would be like doubling our living space, and she was right! Scott oversaw the construction from start to finish. He was very attentive and obviously cared about and was fully invested in the success of the project. He had an expertise with plants and gave great guidance to give me the colors I wanted in plants that would work for our space and the SoCal heat. I am constantly smiling at the plants Scott suggested. They are thriving, and I wouldn't change a thing. The crew was respectful, clean and did a beautiful job. It was a long project, but Pacific Outdoor kept their initial timeline. Our main reason for going with Pacific Outdoor was that they were a one-stop shop. They could do everything. They truly delivered, and it is better than we ever imagined! It was so easy to look at their choices and select what we wanted. They had a wide variety of design choices. We replaced most of the grass in the back with their pavers and used the same pavers for our driveway. They look fantastic. We have a neighbor that had Pacific Outdoor build them a firepit that they love. We received great guidance and attention from the full team all along the way. They didn't quit until the project was finished to our satisfaction. As I float in our beautiful pool and eat tangerines off of my new tree, I feel like a queen and couldn't be happier after choosing Pacific Outdoor! Our family highly recommends them!

Within the span of about a year, it was growing over my citrus trees, down the fence and creeping into my neighbor's backyard despite my best efforts to keep it confined. The morning glory travels about as fast as a German assault on Paris, France (we're talkin' blitzkrieg!). I knew it was time to do something when its tentacle-like creepers were inches away from my sliding back door. I found Kenco Landscaping on Yelp under landscaping and ground clearing (emphasis on the ground clearing). I called and within the span of a few days, I had an estimate and my flower beds eradicated of this monstrous vine. Tom, the owner of Kenco, brought two helpers and had everything manicured within 5 hours. He also trimmed my citrus trees and cleaned everything up nice and clean. This was not a glamorous job for a landscaper but an important one to me. Tom treated my project with the same status I gave it. Tom is easy to talk to and is one of those people who enjoy what he does! The finished product shows. I can once again barbeque, enjoy my backyard! We previously had a horrible experience with a landscaper and while we tried to fix his mistakes as best as we could, we needed a professional to come out. So while I was aware that the projects we wanted were not huge (replacing the weeds between our pavers with gravel/ taming or removing some vines gone amok/ generally getting things under control), they seemed to be inline with what people left in the reviews and I was hoping that I would like the workers and maybe be able to schedule some seasonal maintenance in addition to getting some work done. Well, let me say, my projects must not have been good enough. The owner was decidedly not interested in my money or my projects and recommended someone else in Agora Hills instead of taking the jobs himself. Oh, well, I guess I'll just have to spend my money elsewhere.

The finished project exceeded our expectations, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The entire project took about nine months, with roughly half that time spent navigating Los Angeles County's permitting and approval process. Picture Build's permit coordinator did an excellent job keeping everything moving and minimizing delays. The demolition phase was exceptional. Luis and his crew removed our old pool in a neighborhood where heavy equipment wasn't an option, so most of the work had to be done by hand. Their skill, professionalism, and attention to detail were impressive. Once demolition was complete, a talented team of craftsmen brought our vision to life. They poured new concrete, built a beautiful stacked-stone retaining wall, and installed stunning travertine pavers throughout the patio. The quality of their workmanship is outstanding. Our project manager, Jorge, kept both the demolition and construction phases running smoothly. Like any major project, we encountered a few minor challenges, but every issue was resolved quickly and professionally by Jorge or John Durso, the company's general manager. Special thanks as well to Max, our electrician, and Brian, the quality control supervisor and all-around problem solver, for their dedication and attention to detail. The final transformation is incredible. What was once an aging pool is now a beautiful, inviting outdoor living space where our family loves spending time together. Before making our final decision, we interviewed four different companies to compare our options. Ultimately, what made all the difference was their ability to deliver a detailed 3D plan based entirely on our vision, paired with the guidance of their expert designer. Throughout the project, we had to pivot on certain parts of the design to accommodate existing brick fences and challenging land slopes, but the team handled these adjustments seamlessly, and the final outcome is truly amazing. If you are planning to design or renovate your yard, I highly recommend that you meet with their team for a consultation and quote.
