I've worked with Ceci in two capacities: as a personal trainer/fitness coach back in 2017 and as a functional nutritional therapy practitioner as of December 2020. Ceci has a background in fitness competitions and was able to send me customized workout plans to meet my fitness goals. I still use the plans she created as they were made just for me. Recently I got to my breaking point when it came to my health. I have tried elimination diets, celiac disease testing, cheap online food sensitivity tests, a colonoscopy, and even worked with a functional medicine doctor (who did 0 testing on me and just told me to cut out gluten, dairy, sugar, and coffee without knowing what was wrong). Nothing seemed to work and I just carried on with my life feeling lethargic, bloated, gassy, frequent diarrhea, and in chronic pain (joints, muscles). I thought this was my baseline and didn't ever think I would feel normal again, despite only being 29. I reached out to her and she suggested doing three tests: MRT food sensitivities test, GI MAP test, and an in-depth symptoms based survey. Soon after getting my MRT tests, I realized I had been eating several things that I am highly sensitive to on a daily basis (almonds, soy, peanuts). I eliminated my top and moderate sensitivities and noticed a difference within 2 weeks. TMI but my poop was solid for the first time in years! I also lost 5 lbs without even trying. Next came my GI Map testing. I found out that I had an overgrowth of bad bacteria & not enough good bacteria, an over growth of yeast, a parasite, and a marker that means my body cannot process gluten (despite several negative celiac tests). Ceci explained all of this in death on a 1.5 hour Zoom call. I began my supplement protocol the day after our call and I'm only 2 weeks in an notice a huge difference in energy. I'm not longer getting that afternoon crash and also stopped drinking coffee entirely. I can't recommend her enough! Where do I start!? Working with Cecilia has been the greatest decision I have ever done for myself. In the middle of 2020 pandemic, I had gained weight, most importantly my physical and mental health were plumbing. I always felt "iffy" about nutritionist and trainers. I am a Type 1 Diabetic since the age of 15. I, for the most part, have had great control over my diabetes and my average A1c score (measure of how good your blood sugars are) was in the mid 6's. I started working with Cecilia on a nutrition plan to give me even better control over my diet and blood sugars in 2018. Since then, my last 3 A1c scores have been 6.3, 5.8 and 5.2. My endocrinologist was blown away by the improvements. Cecilia got me on an app called MyFitnessPal and taught me how to carb count in a way that was way more accurate than what I was doing before. On top of that, she still allowed me to eat the food I wanted, this wasn't a keto diet that would leave me miserable and hungry. I've just started working with Cecilia to get my hormonal health back on track, and she has already provided me with so much insight and knowledge than I have gained from my providers. Cecilia's assessment was probably the most thorough and detailed thing I have ever had anyone do for me. It explained a lot of the reasons, and steps I need to take to fix my gut and the protocols she set up we're really good to get things started. I first met Cece when I took her class at GBF in Revere, MA it was called "Booty Pump" I knew instantly that I wanted her to train me.
