Well...I find it odd to be reviewing something as a gym but for you Yelpers...I do what I can to…read moreentertain. The location is probably as good as it can get. It is by a light, it shares the parking lot with a bank but it is a small but cozy location. Parking has never been issue and the location is very clean. I mainly use this location to improve my cardio as I am a semi big guy who hasnt been the healthiest lately. Hence my wife and I decided to start going to the gym. With this location only less than 0.5 miles away...sign me up! I walked into the location and was introduced right away. The manager sat us down and explained the price down, costs, what their little dongle thing was for, and what to do when we wanted to leave the gym. All generic stuff and very similar to any other gym.... that we will be charged for an extra month when we quit. This location is small but it is spaced out nicely. There are plenty of treadmills, two stair climbers, two or so bikes, and a few elliptical. However, sadly... there is only one rowing machine. I love this thing but I hate having to wait to use it. They have bathrooms and then separate restrooms for males and females with a shower. Also, in the side room is a Hydro-Massager. WOW!!! Is all I can say. My first time, I did not know what to expect and I think that machine and I got REALLY close on an intimate level. And it didnt even buy me dinner nor a movie nor a drink. However, our next date was a lot better. The water jets can and does get very strong and it also heats up the area it is working on. The screen can be a little wonky and not work most of the time but it still gets the job done. In the front there is a place to hang our jackets and ~12 little lockers. Plus there is a water fountain in the back and a cooler to buy drinks/snacks. Looks like there is a convenient iPad/tablet next to it to buy from so it can be accessed 24-7. I do like that feature. Overall, this is my gym for the next year and maybe longer depending on where we live. And I have no issues with it. Open 24 hours of the day, 7 days a week. That is what I love the most about it.

I don't leave reviews often, but when I do, it's because something has gone spectacularly wrong…read more There are a lot of reasons I'm building my endurance. For my overall health. For my own personal aesthetics. To be able to run if I'm ever in a life threatening situation. To be able to run around with my future children, should I ever be so blessed. Running away from the restroom at Anytime Fitness was not on that list. I had to use the restroom and walked into the general one. My immediate thought was, "Absolutely not." So I figured I'd try the women's shower restroom instead. Locked. At that point, I genuinely considered using the men's restroom. Have you ever walked into a bathroom and thought, "This place isn't even worthy of my porcelain offering?" Because that was my exact thought. I felt personally violated having to conduct my bathroom business in there. Then I went to wash my hands. Barely any soap. That's when I lost confidence in the cleanliness of the entire gym. My first thought was, "Well... how many people have walked out of here without washing their hands?" Suddenly every dumbbell, treadmill, and machine looked like a collaborative science experiment. Eventually I mustered up the courage to get on the treadmill and thought, "You know what? I'll just wipe it down first." I turned around. No wipes. Then I noticed the wipes trash bin was overflowing. At that point, I wasn't doing cardio anymore. I was building my immune system. The gym itself has potential, but the restroom and sanitation situation seriously need attention. Clean restrooms, stocked soap, and disinfecting wipes are the bare minimum. Right now, the only thing getting a good workout is my fight-or-flight response.

Flexibility with rates for unique circumstances. Tried to open a membership while in town…read moretemporarily for medical reasons and the staff was very unfriendly. In my previous experience with Lifetime Fitness gyms in Kansas, they were able to work with me to fit my family's needs.

The good: Great instructors and welcoming atmosphere in classes! Lots of equipment and cafe/salon…read moreservices are great! The not so good: front desk staff is not friendly to most. Especially one lady with short hair who is always chatting with younger staff and barely looks up to check people in. other's area lifetimes greet you warmly when you enter but most of the desk staff is preoccupied here. Gym desperately needs cleaning- cleaning is done by internal staff. Mats are dirty and never see anyone wiping down weights or mats / although they have spray and towels for guests to use. Restrooms are dirty and need a deep clean and improvements -( behind the stall doors- need to be cleaned)! This location is 20+ years old and lots of newer clubs going in and send this one is being neglected. Speakers in the main group fitness room only work on one side and cut out in the middle of routines. Classes were great but they keep changing formats and if there are less than 12-15 in a class they cut the class. For the price being paid they should hold class even if 5 people sign up. So many trainers around for a fee but classes seem to be getting limited compared to the newer gyms. Still going due to location but it needs some love!
