Scuba pool repair did an amazing job in removing an exposed piece of rebar and patching the plaster. The pool was just replastered 4 years ago and I did not want to have it drained and replastered at the cost of $12,000 to $15,000 which I was told by several pool plaster contractors I needed to do. I had someone from scuba come look at my pool to determine where it was leaking. They indicated that there was a large crack and that was where my leak was coming from. They proceeded to charge me $4000 to fix it. *Spoiler alert* 1 month later my pool is leaking again. Theyre telling me that i need another leak detection (additional $1000) and possibly another repair. Not to mention the woman that answered the phone was extremely rude, would not allow me to speak with any supervisors (in fact said that the owner, DREW, would not be calling me back because he does not speak to customers. Great work done by Scuba Pool Repair on our pool. They replaced the old skimmer and fixed multiple cracks in the pool without having to empty the pool. They only had to lower the water level a couple of inches and saved us a lot of money and headache since we did not have to drain the pool/refill/rebalance etc. The repairs on the cracks look really good and really happy I went with Scuba Pool Repair. Last year, our pool developed a significant crack (over 7 feet long) in the bottom and all of the water drained out. We had several companies out to look at the problem and we called many more. No one was willing to take it on until one of them suggested Scuba Pool Repair. They came out after sending photos of the problem and repaired the crack. It took a few days due to encountering ground water below the pool which they had to keep pumped out. They even attempted to match the pebble-tec finish which I appreciated. They were very professional and hardworking. Most importantly, the pool is holding water without any leaks and it has been almost a year since they did the repair. read more

Do not hire this company. This is not an honest company to trust your pool needs with. Workmanship is terrible, unskilled and not by any structural standards. Management is rude and unresponsive. They tried to hide quality of work underwater hoping that you will not notice the repair "work". I hired them to fix a small crack in my spa that caused rebar to rust through the spa tile. They quoted a complete spa wall rebuild for 5k. They performed a patch of a crack and replaced 20 tiles on spa wall, hardly a structural rebuild of a spa that has a slight crack. I know what a spa wall rebuild is because I contacted a few contractors prior to working with Scuba repair and they informed of what's entailed. Such as cutting out rusted rebar to a certain length on each side of crack, putting in forms to re-concrete/gunite, replacing rebar, completely resetting all of the tile on spa with new tile not replacing old. Estimates were 4-5K. Further, this company used the incorrect tile size (smaller) for the replacement tiles, replaced a tile with a broken tile and tried to hide it with grout. They used 2 different color grouts to grout. One a white color and one a rose color. The tiles they replaced stuck out from the rest of tiles on spillway and spa radius causing the water to flow out of spa into pool completely uneven. (All water flows to one side) completely ruining the functionality of spa spillway. Your pool will look worse than before. Don't hire these guys, you will be sorry. Needless to say, i didn't pay the quote and only paid a portion to settle the issue. there is so much more that I could write however I will let pictures speak for themselves. read more

Scuba Pool Repair just completed a job on my pool, a leak to the rebar below the waterline. I believe it's the only company on the peninsula doing this scuba repair work (so you don't have to drain the pool), so they were a bit slow in responding and scheduling, but once the crew arrived they were helpful, thoughtful (taking pains to match the pool surface, explaining what they were doing, etc.), and best of all did a fantastic job. You can't see the repair at all, and the long rust trails are gone. I highly recommend this company. read more

I called Scuba Pool Repair in desperation after I had tried to repair the popped up tiles in my pool by myself. It was taking up all my free time and I could not find a product that worked well. I finally asked for advice from my Nextdoor neighbors, and Scuba was recommended. I called them up, and they eventually got back to me. When they did, they were completely professional and very helpful. They even came out sooner than expected (of course they called and confirmed first). Patrick and Ermand (sp?) came out and were friendly, professional and hard-working. Not to mention honest. Patrick came to get me after spending about 20 minutes in the pool. He had bad news. The tile installation had not been done well and many more tiles were sure to come off in the near future. His analysis was that the original tile was put down after the adhesive dried and now many of the tiles were only being held in by the grout - very sad situation for me. He said my problems would not go away unless I drained the pool and fixed the big issue. He gave me the option to not pay and address the larger problem later. I was grateful, but I chose to have him repair the missing tiles for the price we had agreed to. I really love my pool and the missing tiles had become an eyesore to me. It took them longer than expected to complete the very detailed work, but I was not charged more. They did a great job!!! Moreover; I really don't like having any strangers at my home. I have dogs and young boys and I am quite private. Patrick was so friendly and genuine, that I would love to invite him back to a family BBQ in the summer. Unbelievable that this company is still in business. I work with high end residential clients and never have I encountered a contractor that is so disrespectful on the phone, of peoples time or of returning calls. I scheduled an assessment in advance after leaving many calls and when the owner got back to me he was short, unprofessional and was irritated by an inquiries. When I asked questions or asked for the time window as to when to expect their arrival he was not able to give it and said he wouldn't give a time frame because he is just too busy and wouldn't shoot himself in the foot like that. I scheduled the appointment for a day I could be in the garden all day since no time window was given and waited from 8-5pm. I left a message for them to see if they would be arriving and no return phone call was granted. I locked up the property and took off thinking maybe I'd get a call back later to let me know why they were a no show. I did get a voice message a day later saying that Patrick was due to arrive in 20 minutes so I quickly called the main number and got the owner Drew again. He had no apologies to give for not showing the day before nor had the time to reschedule my appointment. Drew was short, irritated and bothered that I would not be able to run to the property to meet regarding the pool assessment or grant him permission to just enter the property without my being there. I let him know that my clients are high profile and should not be disturbed and he continued to say that they (my clients) should just take the appointment because we never know when we'll get another appointment and it is what it is and finished with saying he is a high profile pool diver and busy as well and needs to go. Well, shoot... sorry I was troubling you Drew. Note to self to never use these guys ever, unless you like being talked to like trash. I can't imagine the work or follow through is any better. These folks are absolute professionals and have been a godsend to me and my 93 year old mother who still uses her pool for exercise. Back in 2016 a leak was found and at considerable expense was fixed by another company that did not last. Over the intervening four years several band aid attempt to fix it did little good (by the same company). I got involved and after nearly three weeks of learning about pool repairs and calling many different companies finally was pointed to the great folks at Scuba Pool Repair. From the first phone call with office manager Cherie Hershey I was relieved to finally be talking to people who knew what they were doing and they were obviously of a much higher caliber than any of the many other discussions I had in the previous three weeks. They immediately sent out an estimator and provided a very reasonable and completely detailed estimate for repairs. Reading their many favorable reviews from other satisfied customers and that they did work for the Monterey aquarium we made the decision to go with them. Because of the holidays and the weather it took a while to get scheduled but when they finally got started they did not mess around and the work was first class all the way. I had some previous exposure to concrete work in my own work history and while not related to swimming pools I understood enough to observe and understand what they were doing and why. Instead of a band-aid patch job like the previous company this crew jumped right in and removed enough damaged material to get back and expose solid concrete and then used some rather ingenious "rebar staples" to correct the structural defect and reinforce the area to prevent a recurrence in the future. They paid particular attention to detail, took pride in their work and always had time to answer my many questions to ensure I understood what they were doing and why. Their work was neat and they even took the time to clean up at the end of each workday and when the job was finished and ready for the second crew that followed with replastering the pool was spotless. They also did a wonderful minor repair on a leak in a suction pipe in the pump room and again went beyond the basics and removed a lot of excess pipe and simplified the entire piping and this job was done for no extra charge. All in all I could not be happier and my poor 93 year old mother who was totally stressed out at the beginning of this project was relaxed and happy again once she saw the professionalism and competence of these great people. Before and after photos self explanatory, rest assured if you are facing a complicated or difficult repair this is the company you want. In conclusion I can only express my sincere thanks to Scuba Pool repair and say it was a pleasure doing business with them. They took a highly stressful and confusing problem and made it their own and took over to see it through to a very successful conclusion with very little effort required by us once they accepted the job. read more

This summer a fist sized chunk of plaster fell off the wall of our pool which resulted in area of rust. Scuba Pool Repair did an excellent job of removing the rusted rebar and then patching the hole so that you cannot not tell there had ever been a problem. I haven't been this happy with a company for a very long time. My husband and I have remodeled many houses and landscaped many yards over the years and so know good workers when we see them. Drew and Alex were very professional, friendly and hard working. They took pride in their workmanship and did a great job. I called to setup an appointment for someone to come out and take a look at a couple of cracks in our pool benches. They failed to show after confirming earlier that day that they're still coming. They finally showed up the following day, took a look at the pool and said they would send an estimate in the next couple of days. It's now been over 3 weeks since they came out and it's impossible to get a hold of them. I sent them an email, left a voicemail each week, and still no response. I decided to go with a different company, since I can't imagine how they treat paying customers if they can't return a simple call/email. read more

Was going back and forth between draining the pool to fix a rust patch and looking at underwater repair. While the underwater repair was more expensive but after looking at the effort and cost of chemicals, water and of course effort to restabilize the pool, it suddenly didn't seem out of line. So, gave Linh a call and was setup for the following week. They did a great job, brought their own pump and filter to vacuum up the debris, and little over an hour later, after they cleaned up, we were standing around the pool trying to see the patch :). Now, patches are never going to be an exact match for the older plaster, but this was pretty close. Overall, great job! read more
