Bottom line: Scrubs & Beyond had a pretty limited selection of men's scrubs during my recent visit. I found a few that could work, but could not get all that I needed there due to the limited quantity of men's scrubs in the specifics I needed in color and size. The staff did a good job helping, but with the lack of options available I found only a few items for myself. The Deets: In getting prepared for an on site visit with work, I needed to get some scrubs. I found Scrubs & Beyond online and made a trip out there to see what I could find. When entering, the staff greeted me and asked if they could help. I gave them the color specifics and size I needed...and found that there was only a couple or so racks that contained men's scrubs in the whole store (which itself is pretty sizable in both space and total inventory). Adding to the disappointment was the lack of quantity of both the specific color and size I needed, even in looking at more than one brand (they have such brands as Cherokee, Roth, etc.). I did find a few that could work for scrub shirts, one scrub jacket, and a few pants but unfortunately not a week's work that I wanted to purchase. Again, the staff worked well to bring me possible ones to try on and were helpful, but the selection just was not there. A positive is that they do have discounts for certain work sites, so be sure to check to see if yours is among them when shopping there. While I did not get all the scrubs I needed in this one stop, I do feel the staff tried their best and were personable. With a staff rating of four stars and a inventory selection of men's scrubs rating of two stars, I can go with a all around three stars for Scrubs & Beyond for this trip. read more

Don't waste the gas going there. Only have knock off brands and charge $40 for a pair of pants. Couldn't even find a pair of small regular pants. Apparently everyone should be wearing jogger pants now. Really disappointed that there is no local store to try on brands like Cherokee or Koi. Do they do no market research to see what nurses wear and the color we are required to wear? Every nurse I work with wears Cherokee or Wink. I drove pretty far to shop here as it's one of the only scrubs stores around. When I arrived around noon, the store was closed with no signs or explanation as to why. I thought maybe it was just closed for lunch, but another customer drove by telling me they had waited for over an hour and the store never opened. Guess they just decided not to open today? 90% of the entire store is for women only. There was one rack and 1/2 of the short back wall that contained men's scrubs. And of that tiny proportion, I could only find 1 singular top and 2 pants in the color and size that I needed. There were zero options for long sleeve or jackets, and even though we are one week away from September, they haven't received any of their fall lines with warmer options. I looked on their website for scrubs in my size and color. The list was headlined, "scrubs available at 7001 Fayetteville St" or something like that. They had several pages with suitable items listed. The prices ranged down to about 14 dollars for one piece. When I went to the store that day, none of the low priced items were available there. The least expensive shirts were about 24 dollars (minus a penny). The pants were similarly priced. The salesperson told me that they don't actually have all of the items on the website there in the store. She didn't offer to order anything for me. It was right at closing time, so maybe that was the reason she didn't offer to order something. read more

Not a large selection of guy's scrubs but I'm a girl so...still lame though. And can we all just agree that forcing nurses to wear certain colors is dumb? Medical uniforms galore. Lab coats: men's, women's, long, short, cinched, straight, dozens of lab coats to choose from including Cherokee, Dickies, Grey's Anatomy, and plenty of other brands. Great selection of sizes since there were at least a dozen XS and a couple dozen in each of the other sizes. Prices ranged from around $12 to $43. If you're a tag-reader, you'll notice that the garment factory sources for this store include Haiti and Vietnam. I didn't see tags from Bangladesh or Cambodia but I also didn't check every garment. While Vietnam currently has higher manufacturing standards than Cambodia or Bangladesh (eg Rana Plaza factory collapse last year), there is still plenty of room for improvement and Haiti is certainly due for some change as well. Maybe you couldn't care less about manufacturing but it is always worthwhile to know a bit about how your clothing gets into your favorite store in case you've ever wondered who made your outfit for you as you've modeled it in the fitting room. Two fitting rooms. All business in here: white walls, a built-in laminate bench, 2 hooks to hang your choices, fluorescent lighting. No 180 but you can still get an idea of how fabulous your scrubs look in the single full length mirror. Deal rack in the back is loaded with marked-down scrubs including some nice-looking pieces. Courteous, helpful staff. I was greeted promptly and then asked by another employee if I needed any assistance. I was in and out of the store, goods in hand, in less than 20 minutes. The customer service is always terrible. Always sluggish. They never act like they want to be there. It's draining walking into this store. I'm a nurse for UNC and I just worked 3 - 12 hour shifts in the ED and forgot my badge, I cannot get my discount. Even if I have my badge on my phone, my UNC Healthcare email pulled up... nope. It's not like the badge is scanned. I will drive to Cary or Mebane from now on and I will make sure my dept knows how poorly we are treated. read more

Great selection which makes it not so easy to find what you are looking for if you are pressed for time. Thankfully, the staff go out of there ya to help you and give you multiple options to choose from of what you are looking for. The store has great hours allowing you to o after work. Update on my prior review-- I got a call a week later that my order was in. The shirts I picked up looked the same as the others in regards to fit so I am not sure if the samples I tried on in store were wrong or this was another order just given to me but I didn't care at this point and didn't even question why they were back so much sooner than predicted. I ordered 2 pairs of new scrubs for work. They were the Grays Anatomy Brand. I wore both 5 times and of course washed them after each wearing. One of the sets still looks good but unfortunately the other has changed color? The shirt was black and blue color block and the black now looks brown? The jogger pants which I ordered in black now have brown parts. I never use bleach on my scrubs. I use tide and pine sol to disinfect my colored scrubs. I called scrubs and beyond and they stated they would not take them back because they had been worn and washed. I asked them how in the day of COVID-19 someone would even think about not washing scrubs? Or how I was supposed to know the product was clearly defective? They did not care! I will never order from them again because obviously they don't stand by their products. How in the world is it my fault a product that was black and blue is now brown and blue? Staff were very friendly and helpful, needed some mens scrubs and was told they only cary three styles and no unisex scrubs at all. They offered to look through their entire catalog with me and had some ordered to their store free of charge. A few sizes didn't fit and they refunded them no problem and for the pairs that did, they offer a 20% discount for most hospitals! read more

This place is right across Fayetteville Rd from Southpoint Mall, so it's in a pretty nice looking area and close to a bunch of other stores like Best Buy and Buffalo Wild Wings. The store is very well organized and sorted by brand, then color..with printed tops scattered throughout the store. They've got a wide selection and carry many of the well-known brands like Grey's Anatomy, Koi, Urbane, Dansko, etc.). And the employees have always offered to help me find something every time I've come in (I prefer to just wander around and find things I like though, so I've never taken them up on their offer). My only complaint is that their prices are quite up there. A Grey's Anatomy top is about $25.99 if I remember right and the pants are about $32.99 (don't take my word for it though). They do carry some cheaper scrubs like Crocs brand, but since I wear scrubs everyday, I usually look for the better quality items. Every now and then, they'll have 20% off specific brands and they do have a sales rack in the back (which ranges from 10%-20% off the tag), but overall, it's still a bit high. If you sign up for their catalog, it usually comes with a $10 off $50 coupon though, so that'll help you out (that's about the only time I go into this store). So basically, you pay more, but you don't have to go running around looking for matching tops and bottoms. And you can go shopping at Southpoint when you're done. =P read more

Good location, very nice decore, but it changes as you get inside. Two fitting rooms is not enough. I stood there waiting to try on two pairs of scrubs for 15 min. ( yes, I timed it), People kept handing scrubs over the door to the person in the fitting room. There should be a limit, and the workers in the store saw how many people were waiting (6) and asked if she could help anyone. We all pointed to the fitting rooms, all she did was knock on the doors and ask them if they needed anything and walked away - wow, like that solved the problem. Again, customer service is everything! If you miss this one key component to your business, you will will not have return business and a good reputation in the community. Oh yes, men's scrubs - selection is poor, sizes are limited, and places like this need to stop catering to just women. Very good selection of scrubs! All the major brands (Grey's Anatomy, Dickie's, Cherokee, Urbane, etc.) and a great range of sizes. I quickly found lots of long sized pants. The sales people are also very helpful and were able to point me in the right direction. Scrubs were also grouped by color so it made it a cinch to find a matching set. I've been to another store where I was constantly running from one end of the store to other trying to find a matching pair, very annoying! I was in and out of Scrubs and Beyond within 10 mins. I am wringing to register a complaint. I purchased a lab coat from Scrubs and Beyond who had a scrub fair at the hospital where I work. After 3-4 weeks, I received a call to pick up my lab coat from the store which is located at Renaissance Center, 7001 Fayetteville Rd, Durham, NC. The associate from Scrubs and Beyond had placed an incorrect order and instead of a lab coat a white shirt with my chosen embroidery was prepared. The associate in the store had seen that incorrect item numbers were entered and had apologized for the error. She then asked me to get a lab coat off of the rack as the one I had ordered was not available in the store. At no time did she say that I would be responsible for any difference in price. I received a call that my order was in again. Upon picking up the coat, I was told that I owed an additional $7 as the lab coat I had chosen was more expensive than the original one that I had ordered. I immediately notified the associate that I should not be responsible for any additional cost as the error was initiated by the local store and that this has been an inconvenience to me for almost 2 months.\ The store manager became involved and still insisted that I owe the difference despite the error being solely on their side. I will never purchase from Scrubs and Beyond in Durham again. Scrubs and Beyond is responsible for their mistakes and and length of time the customer experiences to correct that error. read more

Rude employees, LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE and to top if off no manager is present or available for questions that need an immediate answer. So much for the great selection that is available!!! The ones you want are out of stock, and no one tells you that when you order the scrubs. I called the store 10 times and only once I got a response, and funnily she forgot to put me on hold and for 7 minutes I could hear on 06/17/2011, how cheap the customer was and that she got $1.00 off and was bargaining for .50cents or such. Really? that was no fun listening to them talk so badly about a customer. I tried calling them back but their phone went into a strange mode, kept ringing as though it was a fax. I had to call the Charlotte Scrubs and Beyond to get a response from their store. The Durham store manager is yet to call me as why their store is so lacking in providing SERVICE TO ITS CUSTOMERS. As a business owner I know why it is so important to give your best to your customers. It is the respect that you give them makes them come back as loyal customers. Called the store first to make sure they were open due to inclement weather. Was not impressed with the personality of the individual who answered the phone. Just straight to the point - no personality at all. Thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and give them a try anyway. The store is nice and organized, although I wasn't impressed with the selections - unless you are looking for solids. When checking out, the absolute lack of personality between two employees was unbelievable. They were both completely aloof with no smile in sight. They were not friendly at al and barely even eye contact. They gave me no reason to ever want to shop at their store again, and I can't imagine wasting gas to go there, unless of course I'm going to Southpoint Mall anyway. read more

I have been in management most of my life and the customer service here is just plain awful and confusing. Not only were two of the three employees not helpful but every time I tried to redeem the customer service they managed to mess it up again. Between the two ladies fussing with each other and telling each other to shut up I had no idea who to ask for help. I know I was not the only one that was uncomfortable because me and another customer ended up helping each other. I think that at this store there needs to be extensive training. Yes at the end of my service the young lady pulled it together to try and save the visit but as I and another customer discussed this was a very unpleasant visit with the amount of money spent.
