I sent out…read moremultiple requests to nearby auto repair shops and Fix The Looks Auto Center was one of the first ones to give me a quick estimate based on the photos I sent over. Their PROMPT RESPONSE, FAIR PRICE, and some of the REVIEWS I've read here are what brought us to choose this auto repair shop as opposed to the rest. I was checking out some before & after photos here on Yelp of another car that Fix The Looks Auto Center fixed and it was an amazing transformation. The before photos showed pretty similar damages to what we had, so we decided to bring our car in for an exact estimate. The exact estimate came close to the initial cost that I first received. And came nowhere close to the other estimates I received from the other shops. We eventually chose the option to fix all of the other DENTS and SCRATCHES that we had on our car, not just the recent damage that I had caused. They also had a great summer deal for AUTO DETAILING, so we added that on top of the repairs. We have 2 pugs who shed an incredible amount of fur and figured that since we were getting the exterior fixed, might as well get the interior cleaned up as well. There was an extra charge for pet fur on top of the car detailing cost. I'm giving this place 4 stars instead of the 5 that it really deserves because we were told that our car would be ready within 3-5 days, but unfortunately, it took longer than expected (about a week and a half from the time we brought our car in and until the last part was fixed). We dropped it off on a Monday and expected to get our car back by Friday (right before our camping trip during the long July 4th weekend). Because they were waiting on a car part that took longer than expected to arrive, we didn't get our car back until the following Monday. Thus, forcing us to cancel our weekend plans. :') They were nice enough to drop our car off at our place in Portland free of charge, but my husband had to drive back to the shop one last time once the car part arrived for them to finish this last repair. I understand that the delayed car part delivery was out of their control, but moving forward, I would advise the shop to order the car part before having us bring our car in to start the repairs. Or maybe give a longer estimate of how much time it will take to complete the work just in case unforeseen things pop up. Or maybe wait until after your weekend plans to bring your car into the shop for repairs. LOL! I did appreciate the thorough communication about these delays, but would have appreciated an exact ETA of completion more. All in all, we were super IMPRESSED when we got our car back. We didn't recognize it! It was CLEAN, SHINY, and all of the damage magically disappeared. It was like our car was BRAND NEW. Thank you so much!!

*** DO NOT GO HERE***…read more Long story short they scratched a panel and want to now charge for their mistake. Details- Thought I found an honest and trustworthy shop. They were so nice at first but don't be a fool like I was! Someone keyed our car on the fender and a little on the door. The scratch was a long horizontal line. When we went for a quote and showed him the car to see if he would need to paint the whole panel he tried to buff it out real quick. Luckily he was able buff the scratch completely out on the door and most of the fender. So we thought wow they're so nice let's go with them to paint the fender since that part couldn't buff out. We made sure to say we were in no rush but they said they had availability so we left it there. 2 days later they call for pick up. I see the panel it looks ok but he shows me a vertical scratch on the door panel that he says he just found and he touched up but if we don't like the way it looks we can bring it back and he can fix it. I'm thinking great! Hopefully it cures perfectly and you won't be able to tell. Well 24hrs later and you can still tell. So I call back and the manager that was standing right there when he told me that is now saying the scratch was there from the keying and that we dropped the vehicle off with it there. IT WAS DEFINITELY NOT! There was never a vertical scratch on the door. She stated that we have to pay for the entire door to be painted now! I have video and pictures from when the guy was buffing it out at their shop and it shows he buffed out the horizontal scratch on the door panel and the door panel was left looking pristine! When we left the vehicle with them there was no vertical scratch!! We were ready to bring another one of our vehicles there for work done and there's no way in hell I can trust them now. Even if I went there and they finally agree to fix the vertical scratch I don't feel like I can trust them to not mess something else up and to not be honest when they make a mistake. I get it, it looks like a little scratch but it was their mistake and they're straight out lying.

I will not be taking my car back here to get serviced again. They're not good at communicating with…read morepeople who do not understand cars nor do they fully document what they've reviewed. They said they fixed my vehicle and within a week it stopped working. They told me I needed a new battery but I took it back to the auto zone I bought it at 3 months ago who tested it at 100%. Never once on the paperwork or via phone was it explained that they did a deep dive test that found an issue that might not register directly on a more surface level test by autozone but no one reviewed that with me or made any note about it on the original paperwork that I could show autozone relating to my concern. I reached out to speak with a manager regarding my concerns 4 different times and not once did they reach back out to me. I wish I could just ignore my clients I don't want to talk to - highly unprofessional. I will be complaining to Subaru corporate about my experience. Do not take your vehicle here. I will be going to Vancouver next time. I finally heard back from a a manager who basically didn't give a crap about what had happened. He said that I left messages with a third party call center so he never was truly notified about my concern and didn't seem terribly concerned and just got mad at me that he hadn't gotten contact as if I would know who is fielding my call when I dial the service information listed on the Gresham Subaru website.
