I went into this shop today and was greeted by the "sales" person, who told us over the phone (prior to our arrival) that she was having trouble connecting her brain to her personality today. Well, that should have kept us from going all the way to her shop. We advised what we were looking for and she described the product. I commented on the colors and how the product was installed and she was argumentative, rude and no matter what I said, she disagreed or had a negative comment. If I said red, she said green. She clearly did not want to be there and had no motivation to sell ANYTHING, let alone help us out. Leadership training teaches you that customer facing personnel ARE the CEO. They are SO easy to do business with. Inquired about a repair via email, Debbie responded almost immediately with pricing and the first available day to schedule it. We weren't going to be here, but since it's an exterior door, they said they'd just work on it that day and email us an invoice. The work was done when we got back in town. When the invoice came today, I called and gave them my credit card number immediately, because it seemed only fair to be as nice to them as they were to us. read more

We recently remodeled our home. During the design process our designer suggested electric shades that could be remotely closed and opened. During construction we engaged Steve at Screen Solutions early on. I have to say he is one of the most patient people I know. He walked us through all the choices from level of blocking out glare and light, battery operated, line voltage or manually operated shades. I must of spent over an hour in their showroom going through different ways of installing the shades through the ceiling or mounted on the wall, and locations to pre-wire the shades during construction. In addition, I brought my wife in to their showroom repeating on a Saturday everything what was explained to me. Steve took the time to discuss every step of the way to scheduling, measuring the shades, working with our electrician, finish carpenter, ordering and installation. Screen Solutions exceeded all expectations. The installers synced up all the shades to open up and close perfectly together or independently. They also took the time to explain how the remote controls worked. The end result is a beautiful product that really enhanced our home. We are seriously thinking of replacing all of our older window treatments with shades. and wouldn't think twice about having Screen Solutions do the work. read more

I wanted to buy an automatic shade from Screen Solutions. I had issues with Steve returning calls or emails. He generally would take several days and 2 attempts in order to get a response. My contractor tried getting a hold of him to find out how to wire for the shade and he never called them back. I decided to go with another company. read more

He was on time, friendly and efficient. We recently had our dog run through one of them and the office manager scheduled a service within a couple of days. Love my phantom/legacy screen doors! These are very classy/high-end looking and sooo much better than having an unsightly screen distracting from an otherwise gorgeous wood door. Ordering and install was pretty quick- within a couple weeks and it only took an hour or so to install. I chose this company because they are known for completing prior work in my condo complex. Next time, I will be more proactive and price shop!!! My screen door is just fine. Service received throughout the process is another story. The installation was a two part installation. Due to a vacation, I was away for the second part and was able to arrange to have someone supervise completion. Prior to leaving, I wrote a check for the amount I was quoted over the phone for the job. Upon returning, I found an invoice for $100 less than the quoted amount. Yahtzee! Money back I thought. It was a weekend, but I called and followed up nonetheless. I was told I would hear back from someone the following Monday and that the issue would be resolved. I did not hear back. I called Wednesday morning. Call me a pessimist, but unfortunately I am not surprised by the lack of follow through, and the fact that I am not getting $100 back, regardless of their outright mistake on the invoice. I was also not provided with any warranty information and had to request that over the phone. Since I do not have it in writing, and based on this experience, I can only mildly hope that Screen Solutions holds up to the warranty information I was quoted over the phone. read more

The combination of professionals that know their job along with superb customer service makes this company truly unique. We have lived in the valley since 1975 and have had occasion to use Screen Solutions many times. Whether we needed a new screen or were having minor trouble with one that had been installed.....they were accommodating and fair. We recently needed a repair very quickly for a "minor wrinkle" and were told they were sorry, but the next appointment was one week away.... our daughter and family were coming from Boston the very next day and I begged to go on a cancellation list.... They were able to come out that afternoon and couldn't have been kinder......they fixed the problem, but, then stayed to make it even better.... So many companies that one does business with either don't come when they say they will or seem "put out" that you need them....this company goes "above and beyond the call" ....I don't know enough superlatives for them ...wish there were six stars.... Debbie is fabulous....she really seems to care about what her customer needs.... and David and Dominic were fabulous as well. read more

Pay no attention to the hours listed by this store. They are the nearest dealer to my home for the patio cover I'm investigating but are not all that close. I stopped by on 4/1/16 when I was in San Jose. I was met at the door by a woman who informed me they were by appointment, only, When I explained I was from out of town and wanted to understand if their display included the patio cover, she reiterated that I could not be helped without an appointment and she was planning to lock the door. Their products may be fine but there customer service is missing entirely. read more

Context: my wife and I have extensive experience with home construction and maintenance products and services...we are in our 60s, and have repaired or re-modeled 13 homes we've lived in. When we were looking for an 'invisible roll-up door screen' after moving into our current home in San Jose last year, a neighbor recommended a local screen company, and since we had excellent experience with Milgard windows in a prior home we also went to a long-established family-run Milgard/Andersen/Marvin window dealer in San Jose for advice. The local screen company showed us several screens of various materials quality, various roll-up and locking mechanisms, and various prices, and in response to one of our questions indicated if there was any problem after installation, they would either fix it themselves or return it to the factory for repair at no charge during the warranty period. The Milgard/Andersen/Marvin window dealer no longer sold 'invisible roll-up door screens' -- he said he used to sell them made by one of his major brand window manufacturers but over a 10-12 yr period they kept trying to design improved roller and locking mechanisms, but none of them ever worked as well as "Phantom" brand screens. He said that over the years he'd spent so much time on 'invisible roll-up door screens' warranty work, that he decided it was better for his firm, his customers, and the reputation of the manufacturers of the excellent windows he sold, to stop selling 'invisible roll-up door screens' altogether and just send people to Screen Solutions in Campbell to buy "Phantom" screens. [NOTE: He was definitely one of the most honest home construction product retailers we have ever encountered, and we have referred others to him for window needs and advice based on that honesty.] So we went to Screen Solutions and found not only that "Phantom" screens had the best design and materials quality we'd seen, but also learned that Screen Solutions did all the screen repair work the local screen company we first went to couldn't handle due to either the intricacy of the repair or their lack of the required special equipment [(!)...so much for that local screen company sending broken products 'back to the factory' for their customers!]. Phantom screens are more expensive than lesser-quality screens, but well worth the price, for both their design and their construction. We were so pleased with our first two Phantom screens over their first 15 months that this year we added a third on a side door. In all installations, Screen Solutions accommodated our schedule, arrived on time, made perfect measurements, clearly explained our options (our door frames and thresholds were not identical in size or design), finished all work within the promised timeframe, and left zero mess. We could not be more pleased with Screen Solutions' staff, products, and service. From our research and experience, Phantom 'invisible roll-up door screens' are the best available, and you won't find a better dealer than Screen Solutions in Campbell! read more

I had a Phantom screen door delivered and installed by Screen Solutions more than 10 years ago and since the installation I have had Screen Solutions out 3-4 times to service the door for normal wear and tear. I have rarely if ever had a supplier in whom I am more impressed and with whom I am more satisfied. The door itself is a wonderful solution to my needs in the particular location and environment in which it is installed, and I often recommend Phantom doors to others based on my experience. However, I really am impressed with the door significantly BECAUSE it was purchased from and is serviced by Screen Solutions. They are prompt, courteous and very affordable and I couldn't recommend them more highly. As with other suppliers who have been reviewed on Yelp, one sour apple reviewer who never even had the chance to experience Screen Solutions sales and service has dragged down this supplier from it's richly deserved 5-STAR rating.
