Scream Truck - "Build Your Own" chocolate sundae with hot fudge, caramel, and whipped cream. Heavenly!!! - Food Trucks Near Me

It's terrible for my waistline, but when I can get a custom ice cream sundae delivered right to my house and made on the spot, how can I refuse? My usual is a large vanilla soft serve with Ghiardelli salted caramel sauce. It's even better when it firms up after being placed in my freezer for a bit. You prepay on line, about $7, delivered. I don't know how the guy makes money, but he is always cheerful and happy to serve, so I don't question it. read more

Our neighborhood applied months ago. We finally heard back, everyone pre-ordered. We waiting outside and then finally got a text after the time period that they were canceling on us. Kids were so disappointed. Driver came to our neighborhood anyway for some reason and sold to some neighbors. We approached the driver to see what happened. He said it qlwasn't his call, shut the window and lights and drove away. Waiting to see if we actually get a refund. Shocked that a business does an application for a visit and then doesn't plan accordingly. read more

The variety of what you can order and the quality of the ice cream from the Scream Truck were freakin' AWESOMEEEEEEE. We recently attended a birthday party where the party hosts rented out the Scream Truck (which I had NEVERRR heard of before the party) for the latter part of their party. I would guess that the truck was present at the party and parked outside of the hosts' house for at least 1-2 hours so the guests DEFINITELY got their money's worth. Let me just say that they absolutely DID NOT skimp on the soft serve ice cream at all and we were verrrry surprised at not only the variety of options, but just the sheer amount of ice cream swirls being given to guests - whether it was in one of their signature sundaes, signature cones, shakes or if you built your own cone. In terms of the variety, I think we would have been jussst fine if they offered a few options for us to select from, but it seemed like their ENTIRE menu was available for our pickings. And to top it off, the sundaes and cones were MASSSSIVE and beyonddd generous. There were toddlers that were under 5 years old holding cones larger than their heads!! I kid you not. Besides the seemingly endless ice cream concoctions and mounds of ice cream on each order, the employees making the orders took their time and made sure that each order was just right, so even though it did take awhile to fulfill each person's request, it was well worth the wait because of how well constructed the orders were. With all of the above praise said, if I were to nitpick, it would have been that they only offered vanilla, chocolate or a mixed swirl. However, I do understand that those are the 2 most common soft serve flavors and even establishments like Wendy's didn't offer any other Frosty flavors until their recent explosion in variety. Overall, as a guest of a party who rented out this truck, I was 1000% satisfied with our ice cream and the generosity of the portions. I don't know what the rental fee is for this truck (I'm sure it costs a pretty penny), but if you want to reallllly "WOW" your guests, this IS without a shadow of a doubt the truck to rent (especially in the summer). read more

We love the Scream Truck! The process is so easy, you sign up under your address and any day the truck is zoned to be in the area, you receive a text with an hour window frame it will be delivered. You do have to order at least as hour before the scheduled delivery time, for each person that is getting something, and NO CHANGES can be made after that point. This includes adding more orders. It's not allowed. It is a tad pricey ($30, including tip, for a vanilla with sprinkles and 2 Boo Bash Cones), but worth their amazing ice cream! My only hangup is that a lot of times, they schedule my neighborhood for late in the evening 645-8pm, when the sun is down and it's cold. Wouldn't mind earlier hours, on occasion. The trucks are kept in immaculate condition, and SUPER CLEAN, and the staff are always so amazing. Shout out to Yoshane and Johannie! read more

This ice cream truck plays extremely loud music after 8:30 p.m. on weeknights, disturbing the entire neighborhood. Businesses should respect local noise ordinances and the families living nearby. read more

The Scream Truck is a fun concept. You subscribe to their list if your area is part of their route. You can also have them come for a party. They have sundaes, cones, shakes, and pup cups which are all soft served based. Their soft serve is pretty good and I normally get a shake either cookies and cream or peanut butter. read more

Very nice ladies offered us a sample which was really good. This led us to buying a sundae . Also loved the fresh fruit included as a topping. I would definitely recommend trying the ice cream from this food truck if it's in your neighbourhood. read more

Okay, even though it's freezing out, this sundae is awesome and worth standing outside the truck waiting for them! I ordered the Biscoff Cookie Crunch Scream Sundae and gotta say the ice cream itself is great but the combination itself sets it off. My kids ordered the frozen hot chocolate which is fantastic as well! It's pretty cool how it works, go on their website, schedule and date and time, pre-order your selection and they come straight to where you are within the hour time frame they provide. Definitely suggest for a nice surprise for your kids and/or to satisfy your ice cream cravings, absolutely worth it! read more

This truck is amazing! You get a text if they're in your neighborhood and then have time to pre-order what you want. From there, a time is scheduled for the truck to arrive and they make what you ordered right then and there. Great for a spur of the moment treat! I also saw that you can rent the truck for events which is such a great idea. read more

My favorite ice cream truck!! Not only is the ice cream absolutely delicious, but they deliver to your door!! What more can you ask for??? You need to sign up to be on their distribution list and they will text you when they are in your area. I always get soooo excited when I get an alert that they will be in the area soon. Once you confirm, they will send you a link to order. I personally think they have one of the best soft serve ever. I always get the twist (ie vanilla & chocolate) and I love the salted caramel sauce. They will text you when they are close by and we all go out to wait eagerly for the ice cream goodness to arrive! Love this place, can't wait for our next ice cream delivery! read more

Eddie Khaled of Scream Truck is the BEST and so much fun to have in the neighborhood!! Ice cream was awesome !!

I would like to update my previous review to reflect the way the situation was handled by Scream Truck's CEO. After a misunderstanding regarding a promised 10% donation from event sales, Eric Murphy, the Founder/CEO of Scream Truck, reached out to me directly. He handled the situation with professionalism, took full responsibility, and sincerely apologized for the miscommunication that had occurred at the team level. Not only did he acknowledge the mistake, but he also generously offered to donate 100% of the event's sales total -- far above what was originally promised. This gesture shows integrity and a genuine commitment to community relationships. I appreciate the way this was resolved and want to acknowledge the effort to make things right. read more

Went on line to order, waited a few minutes only to be told they were closed. They had been talking to the two people in front of me while making their ice cream. There was at least two people there, either of them could have said hey we are closed and just servicing them. But no they waited until the two people they were chatting with had left to tell me that had closed a few minutes ago. Right around when I had arrived. If I am ever able to have their service, I'll re-review with actual ice cream review. read more

When I was a kid, the Little Jimmy truck was like a godsend. The scream truck is like that truck on steroids. The menu is very diverse with options for Those who might be adverse to ice cream. Incredibly disappointed! We just booked the scream truck for my daughter's 6th birthday party and double checked we were registered to get texts when it was nearby. Then tonight the scream truck pulled up on our street with no notice. When we tried to walk up and order as it was parked in such a way to prevent us from leaving our street, we were denied service. What's worse than hearing the ice cream truck and having to tell your children no? Telling them yes and having the ice cream truck refuse to serve you because of their error! Now my 5 year old is wondering what she did wrong that the scream truck won't come to her house or serve her! Great work disappointing little kids! read more

Love Love Love The Scream Truck. Total hit in my neighborhood. You can't miss the big pink truck. Thee BEST soft serve Ice Scream around. Enormous cones and sundaes for a decent price. Plenty of options to choose from. They have a nut-free side inside the truck for folks with allergies. Never had a problem and the service was quick, easy and smooth. read more

I booked the Scream Truck for a birthday party for 50 people (we ended up having about 40). Just had truck for a surprise birthday party. It was a HUGE hit. The birthday message on truck, the "special" ice cream selection named in honor of birthday person, the music playing and the fantastic customer service from booking to serving of each person was FIVE star. Ice cream is great. Fun for kids. Interesting idea. It's necessary to make a reservation.

Overpriced and overrated. The taste of ice cream is just ok but definitely not worth the price.

Very disappointed in the customer service and attitude of the gentleman that came out of the truck to tell 30+ ppl in line that at 4:00pm they we're pulling off and no longer serving ice cream. There was kids of all ages in line for a while. Scream Truck came to our apartment complex which holds well over 1,000 tenants. Is two hours enough time? Don't people work on Sunday's? Its unprofessional and not good business to handle a crowd like that. It could of been handled a different way. Also they did not change their gloves each time they finished a order. They weren't wearing mask even though the website says they maintain strict health safe protocols. I would not recommend this truck to any private event. read more

The ice cream is very good. The people are very friendly. It's a unique concept, but it doesn't seem like the greatest business model. They describe themselves as "on demand," but it's really only when they offer it, not necessarily when you want it or when you're available. When they text you that they're coming to your neighborhood, if you don't respond immediately, (in other words sometimes you have to make sure you'll be home when they arrive and it may take some planning) you may miss out. If you wait an hour or so you'll probably get a message saying that all the reservations are booked up even if they're not scheduled to arrive for several hours. If you respond that you'd like a reservation, but you don't order because you changed your mind or you realize you're not going to be home or whatever reason, you get your hand slapped with a message saying that you should've told them that you're canceling your reservation. Seems like a lot of rules for "on demand" ice cream. The pluses - they have some cute items and there is a wide variety of toppings. The ice cream really is very very good. They have a pup cup for doggies that used to be free but now costs one dollar and a portion of the fee goes to charity. It's always fun to get a treat for the pets and that's a nice perk. All in all, we really like Scream Truck but sometimes it's not the easiest business to deal with. We could also go weeks without getting a text for a reservation. I guess that makes it more special when it does come to your neighborhood, but it's not really on demand. read more

They drove past my house and didn't stop. When I contacted them, they claimed they didn't receive my confirmation of my reservation. I showed them proof of the text that I did in fact confirm the reservation 4 minutes after they sent a text request, but they didn't really care. Bad customer service, bad reservation system, disappointed kids. read more

I feel like a kid! The ice cream is so good, and the ice cream truck stopping right in front of a house on a cold evening is a plus.

It's the new age ice cream truck. They tell you when it's coming via text. You let them know if you are interested. Simple enough. Ice cream is solid. Few different options. You clearly pay for convenience. Good concept and pretty solid ice cream and very nice service. read more

Everyone is very polite. But we tried it twice. Both times (and all 4 people in my house say this), the ice cream has almost a chemical after taste. We've tried sundaes and milkshakes. My office ordered the Scream Truck to make an appearance at our office today in Florham Park. What a fun experience it was. The adorable pink truck showed up, with music bumping, and good vibes flowing. The selections were fantastic and I kept it simple, and ordered a swirl in a wafer cone. Vanilla and chocolate swirled together in a crunchy wafer cone. Everything that came out of the truck was instagramable and delicious. My swirl was fantastic and a great combination of flavors. I will be hiring them to come to my personal home next. Way to go Scream Truck. read more
