Even though I'm a simple chocolate gal, my family loves all the "fixins" and specialty flavors they offer. The hot chocolate is excellent. Here's how it works if you don't know. Sign up for their text messages and provide them with the pertinent information about your delivery location. Scream will send you a text message with a 1-hour time frame during which they will be in the area. Once you confirm you want delivery, they will send a link to the current menu. Scream states, "Pre-orders must be placed at least 15 minutes before your route's start time." Place your order, and they will confirm via email that the order was received. They give you a choice: either have it left for you on your porch or patio, or greet the truck. This may clear up any confusion among some of the negative reviewers. My grand-nephew, who is two years old, loves to greet them!! The truck usually has some good upbeat music playing, too. My only gripe is that they seem to schedule deliveries in our area before and around dinnertime. But I understand Scream has so many areas to cover. The variety of what you can order and the quality of the ice cream from the Scream Truck were freakin' AWESOMEEEEEEE. We recently attended a birthday party where the party hosts rented out the Scream Truck (which I had NEVERRR heard of before the party) for the latter part of their party. I would guess that the truck was present at the party and parked outside of the hosts' house for at least 1-2 hours so the guests DEFINITELY got their money's worth. Let me just say that they absolutely DID NOT skimp on the soft serve ice cream at all and we were verrrry surprised at not only the variety of options, but just the sheer amount of ice cream swirls being given to guests - whether it was in one of their signature sundaes, signature cones, shakes or if you built your own cone. In terms of the variety, I think we would have been jussst fine if they offered a few options for us to select from, but it seemed like their ENTIRE menu was available for our pickings. And to top it off, the sundaes and cones were MASSSSIVE and beyonddd generous. There were toddlers that were under 5 years old holding cones larger than their heads!! I kid you not. Besides the seemingly endless ice cream concoctions and mounds of ice cream on each order, the employees making the orders took their time and made sure that each order was just right, so even though it did take awhile to fulfill each person's request, it was well worth the wait because of how well constructed the orders were. With all of the above praise said, if I were to nitpick, it would have been that they only offered vanilla, chocolate or a mixed swirl. However, I do understand that those are the 2 most common soft serve flavors and even establishments like Wendy's didn't offer any other Frosty flavors until their recent explosion in variety. Overall, as a guest of a party who rented out this truck, I was 1000% satisfied with our ice cream and the generosity of the portions. I don't know what the rental fee is for this truck (I'm sure it costs a pretty penny), but if you want to reallllly "WOW" your guests, this IS without a shadow of a doubt the truck to rent (especially in the summer). read more

We love the Scream Truck! The process is so easy, you sign up under your address and any day the truck is zoned to be in the area, you receive a text with an hour window frame it will be delivered. You do have to order at least as hour before the scheduled delivery time, for each person that is getting something, and NO CHANGES can be made after that point. This includes adding more orders. It's not allowed. It is a tad pricey ($30, including tip, for a vanilla with sprinkles and 2 Boo Bash Cones), but worth their amazing ice cream! My only hangup is that a lot of times, they schedule my neighborhood for late in the evening 645-8pm, when the sun is down and it's cold. Wouldn't mind earlier hours, on occasion. I ordered the Biscoff Cookie Crunch Scream Sundae and gotta say the ice cream itself is great but the combination itself sets it off. Went on line to order, waited a few minutes only to be told they were closed. They had been talking to the two people in front of me while making their ice cream. There was at least two people there, either of them could have said hey we are closed and just servicing them. Incredibly disappointed! We just booked the scream truck for my daughter's 6th birthday party and double checked we were registered to get texts when it was nearby. Then tonight the scream truck pulled up on our street with no notice. When we tried to walk up and order as it was parked in such a way to prevent us from leaving our street, we were denied service. They text again when they are five minutes away, and then pull right up to your house. It's a novelty, and could be a big hit at a kid's birthday party, or summer BBQ at your home. The ice cream is very good. The people are very friendly. It's a unique concept, but it doesn't seem like the greatest business model. They describe themselves as "on demand," but it's really only when they offer it, not necessarily when you want it or when you're available. When they text you that they're coming to your neighborhood, if you don't respond immediately, (in other words sometimes you have to make sure you'll be home when they arrive and it may take some planning) you may miss out. If you wait an hour or so you'll probably get a message saying that all the reservations are booked up even if they're not scheduled to arrive for several hours. If you respond that you'd like a reservation, but you don't order because you changed your mind or you realize you're not going to be home or whatever reason, you get your hand slapped with a message saying that you should've told them that you're canceling your reservation. Seems like a lot of rules for "on demand" ice cream. The pluses - they have some cute items and there is a wide variety of toppings. The ice cream really is very very good. They have a pup cup for doggies that used to be free but now costs one dollar and a portion of the fee goes to charity. It's always fun to get a treat for the pets and that's a nice perk. All in all, we really like Scream Truck but sometimes it's not the easiest business to deal with. We could also go weeks without getting a text for a reservation. I guess that makes it more special when it does come to your neighborhood, but it's not really on demand. read more

I showed them proof of the text that I did in fact confirm the reservation 4 minutes after they sent a text request, but they didn't really care. Very disappointed in the customer service and attitude of the gentleman that came out of the truck to tell 30+ ppl in line that at 4:00pm they we're pulling off and no longer serving ice cream. There was kids of all ages in line for a while. Scream Truck came to our apartment complex which holds well over 1,000 tenants. Is two hours enough time? Don't people work on Sunday's? Its unprofessional and not good business to handle a crowd like that. It could of been handled a different way. Also they did not change their gloves each time they finished a order. The adorable pink truck showed up, with music bumping, and good vibes flowing. The selections were fantastic and I kept it simple, and ordered a swirl in a wafer cone. Vanilla and chocolate swirled together in a crunchy wafer cone. Everything that came out of the truck was instagramable and delicious. My swirl was fantastic and a great combination of flavors.
