We can always find something good to read, and the price is definitely always easy on the pocketbook. The lovely people who work here are very well informed. I was looking for a classic by Pearl S Buck, and she knew exactly where it was located in the store. I have confidence in these guys, and I know that I can check with them before I go look elsewhere. She never called anyone for backup even, like first thing you should do when there's a bunch of people in line. Then she didn't enter my phone number right for the rewards, and said I didn't have one. I know I do lol, I get emails and am logged into it in the app. So she tried email but typed that incorrectly too. Nope, you don't have an acct sir. OK here let me as the customer get out my phone, open the app, find my rewards section, and pull up the literal barcode for her to scan. Oh gee you do have one! Wow! Then she put some of my products into the tiniest bag possible and said some of them didn't fit and just stacked them to the side. I went oh do you think you have a larger bag maybe. We had such a great time at this antique shop in downtown Sonora! It's not just antiques --…read moredownstairs they've got an underground area filled with books and cozy chairs where you can sit and read for a while. The lady at the counter was super nice and even let my kids each pick out a sticker, which totally made their day! Again, they shipped me a paperback and, just for good measure, refused to publish my truthful review (which Amazon asked for in the first place) as I am not allowed to say anything that might reflect badly on a seller. So, I ordered it from Barnes and Noble in Modesto. Not only was it the edition I wanted, it was ready in minutes and good value for the price. When I stopped by to pick it up, the clerk was cheerful, helpful, and an all-around good ambassador for the B&N brand. I had forgotten how good these folks are. Amazon lost a book buyer and reviewer. Barnes and Noble Modesto gained both.
