I love everything about this yarn shop! Has everything you need from yarn, needles, books, and…read moreother fun items for sale. I recommend for any natural fiber/ synthetic lover to stop by and browse at least once! So much yarn with a wide selection of beautiful colors, fibers (wool, alpaca, bamboo, cotton, recycled fibers, etc) plus a wide variety of brands. Amazing store and amazing + helpful staff. I guarantee you'll find what you need--and if not, you'll still walk out with something that makes you smile from ear to ear

We encountered Needful Things when they had a booth at the county fair. They brought a wide range…read moreof items from the shop and everyone in my party was delighted by both the selection and the lovely customer service, My daughter was new to crocheting and hadn't yet experienced different types of yarn. The lovely ladies from Needful Things were happy to help her. They explained the properties of each of the yarns she was interested in. Some of them required a yarn balling machine and they explained that to her too. My other daughter bought a delightful crochet jellyfish. They are now a regular destination for us when we are here visiting family. I highly recommend them! If you are looking for craft supplies or a unique gift, this is the place to go!

The selection was minimal for needles. She was very nice and explained why she didn't carry them. The yarn selection was good.

This store is truly worth a visit! It is seriously a visit to a different decade. The entire store…read morecould be in the fifties, or earlier. It's homey and simply arranged with real examples of what talented crafters can do with lovely materials. Sadly, I am not (yet) one such person. As with the shopfronts of the past, the owner lives upstairs, and will advise her customers that they can call if she's popped upstairs during business hours. The owner (I think her name is Pamela, but I've lost the business card.) takes yarn VERY SERIOUSLY. I recently went in for a gift for a relative who had made me a very large afghan. I wanted to buy the relative a fancy yarn that would be a pleasure for her to make something for herself. The owner asked me more questions than I even knew the answers to, and together we arrived at a beautiful wine colored yarn of a sort of silken material. It was a little dear, but I think the yarn will be a lovely scarf or shawl. The owner will answer ANY questions that you have. I don't think there's anything about knitting or crocheting that she doesn't know. Of course she teaches as well. In keeping with the classic theme, there is no Internet portal with which to access the store. I was told that if the owner had a computer it would probably be flying out of her upstairs window in short order. But, really, shouldn't we leave the house and meet our retailers sometimes? I strongly recommend this store to crafty folks!
