It has fresh orange peel and almond flavor. They have so much more on the menu to try, it's almost overwhelming. Service is a little slow but it is definitely worth the wait. (Maybe he was late for something important ‍) Owners, please impart to your employees the importance of a minimally pleasant interaction between them and a potentially returning clientele. The regular coffee was ok. The cappuccino was scalding hot, dangerously so, and weak. Also there was no air conditioning and it was sweltering but to be fair I noticed that before I ordered and could/should have left.

I wish they had cold brew as the ice coffee is not the same or as good. My wife loved the maple latte and that they do half caff. She recently ordered a matcha that wasn't great but they said it was the end of the bag and gave us a free iced decaf latte instead which was very nice. With the service, location, and dependably pretty good coffee, I will continue to patronize this business.

The reason I'm giving a 2-star review is because there is a wood bench on the side of the building by the parking lot. I went to sit on the bench and it flipped up in the air like a teeter totter and it was scary! I could have seriously been injured but I was able to jump off right away. I also had my 10 pound dog with me when it happened. I went inside and told a gentleman behind the counter what happened. He was nice and came outside with me and explained that the bench often gets backed into by cars in the parking lot and then it gets moved out of place. I have no idea why, if this is clearly a known issue, that the bench is not stabilized for safety reasons. If this happens next time to a child or an elderly person, this could end in consequences or someone getting seriously hurt.

It was a Saturday morning, so there was a short wait to order and to grab a table, but the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The interior is eclectically decorated and has a cozy, fun vibe that reminded us of the coffee shop in the Friends TV show. We ordered a brewed coffee and an iced coffee--both were excellent--and really appreciated the option of Vermont maple syrup and oat milk. For food, we ordered a regular breakfast sandwich and the Forager vegan breakfast sandwich. We were especially impressed to see a vegan breakfast option on the menu, as many places don't cater to vegans at all, particularly for breakfast. Both sandwiches were delicious, and it was great to feel so thoughtfully accommodated. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would happily recommend Uncommon Coffee to friends. We just wish it were closer to home so we could visit more often!

The store is located and connected with the UVM Bookstore but they have their own entrance. If you are into the fancy schmancy drinks like latte, expresso, etc, they can make them for you here. Other items such as cold drinks and snacks are also available. The daily Ice Tea is quite popular. It's very cozy and comfortable in the cafe as there are several comfy sofa chairs which makes it a nice relaxing place to hang out and meet people. Bring your own travel mug and pay for the price of a refill instead of full price.

This is solely for maximum flavor). They buy Vermont Artisan coffee, which is typically a darker roast than what the roast level actually says. They usually have at least a medium and a dark for the roast levels of the carafe coffee. The baristas are mostly students, so it's hit or miss with the service (hence, a four star rating). They also sell pastries from local cafes (I believe Mirabelle's and/or Klingers), and I've never had one that was stale, so it's a safe bet to get those. It's probably the most expensive cafe on campus, but if you want to splurge this is the place to go.
