We visited Scoupe deVille when we were in town for the Paracon. The location is nice, clean environment. It's a bit loud inside due to the fact that the place is full of children enjoying the ice cream. They have a lot of flavors to choose from. Both my husband and I loved our ice cream. Delicious and flavorful, nice and creamy. Just what you want when you're craving a little sweet treat. I highly recommend trying them out. We are sad that we don't have a location in Michigan that we can frequent. But if we are back in town we will definitely return to try more flavors. read more

This was my first visit on the suggestion of my partner. The interior decor is very cool. There are a lot of tables and chairs for those wanting to eat inside. There is a section of couches made from the tail section of Coupe de Villes. The couches face a wall on wihch there is a screen playing scenes from the 1950s. My partner remarked how perfect these couches are for a date night. Their selection of ice creams is vast and varied. I tried the Chocolate Amaretto Cherry and the Milky Way which were new flavors. Both were delicious. I ended up getting a dish with one scoop of each. My partner had a sundae which she enjoyed. We sat outside. There are several round picnic tables (about 10), 1 regular picnic table, and a few rocking chairs. Ther are also games to keep the children amused. Both of us enjoyed the ice cream. It is made with pure cream and is very silky. The portion sizes are generous. Everyone behind the counter was very friendly. 5/31/25 we stopped at Scoupe De Ville and I was wowed by the experience and the Icecream. It's set up like a 1950's hangout with a "drive in theater" inside with very cool seating. High top diner tables and chairs are set out to accommodate guests too. Not only do they serve ice cream but they also serve food. Most of the Icecream is handmade. My husband got the sugar free butter pecan. Since he's diabetic it's not easy to find much besides chocolate and vanilla. He really enjoyed it. I tried the almond joy and my son got the mint cookie. This is premium thick Icecream and ultra decadent. I will run back next time I'm in the area. I thought the scoops were generous! I got the single scoop and it was huge. I took some of it home and enjoyed it for breakfast. The business is seasonal so enjoy it while you can. It's a very remarkable place and I love the authentic, well restored memorabilia. A very kool, eat-in, ice cream experience w/ tons of eye-catching nostalgia everywhere you look- favorite of which is Leave It To Beaver Show on classic TV set, AND the Cleopatra movie projected on to wall mural of drive-in theatre. My sundae- vanilla soft serve w/ marshmallow & hot fudge topping didn't knock my socks off- it was a little light on the sauces & somewhat disappointing to be served in a Styrofoam cup vs. a glass sundae dish for full soda shop experience, but still good. The Cinnamon Caramel Swirl hard ice cream I sampled, haunts me! My husband described his banana split as one of the best he's ever had! We stumbled across this ice cream parlor last year and couldn't wait until it opened for this years season - we wish it was open all year :) Food: very typical food for an ice cream shop - hotdogs, fries and pretzels. Ice cream is amazing with lots of options. There is certainly something for everyone and you can't go wrong. Service: well oiled process and didn't have any issues. The staff seem to be well trained and have great customer service, which is something that has been a real struggle for many companies, but not Scoupe Deville. Restaurant: inside has the 50s feel with cool relics from the Elvis Presley era. My kid loves the Cadillac seats and the movie! Wow! That's what I said when I walked in. Bright and full of nostalgia- from the decor to the music and the movie playing in the "drive-in" section. Then the ice cream. DEE-LICIOUS!!! Husband had a vanilla soft-serve cone which was really large and creamy. I had a regular hot fudge sundae with chocolate chip cookie dough. I should've gotten a junior, but I somehow finished the regular. The cookie dough had tons of cookie dough chunks and was so tasty. The servers were friendly and quick. The bathroom was so clean you could eat off the floor. We agreed that we would happily take a drive to visit again and bring friends. read more

If you're looking for an experience while licking your ice cream cone, this place will not disappoint. This place has so many amazing antiques, toys and old movie posters. The decor is historic and unique. They also have outdoor seating. My grandparents would have loved this place. And now about the ice cream - farm fresh, some flavors prepackaged for easy takeout, some flavors only make limited appearances, and some are always available. This place is only open on a seasonal schedule so check their website. I ordered peanut butter Oreo ice cream in a kiddie size. This size easily equaled two scoops from my ice cream scoop at home. Plenty for the price. Big chunks of broken up Double Stuf cookie, peanut butter ripples, and vanilla ice cream. Can you tell I loved it?!? This is a cute new spot in Royersford. It's the only ice cream place in the area that has a sit down area. Everything else is takeout, so this gets high marks for that. The theme is a 50s old-fashioned ice cream parlour with a juke box, black and white floor, and a kid's "drive-in area." There are extensive ice cream choices and some burger choices. The ice cream is good, though not as rich as some. The young girl who took my order told me it's made by her uncle and his brother. The service by the girls behind the counter is enthusiastic and good. They look like they're having fun, which makes for a good experience. We came here a few times in the early Autumn with some friends who we hadn't seen in a while, because they wanted to introduce us to this place, knowing how I'm a big fan of the 1950s and would get a kick out of the awesome decor throughout. As soon as you walk in, you get greeted with memorabilia and even old movies playing on a projector screen. But more importantly, the food. I really enjoyed their chili dogs. Their crinkle fries are better than I'm used to elsewhere, but I still don't love them. Their Pepsi fountain sodas are OK (though they really should upgrade to Coca-Cola products), and their shakes are excellent (I tried the butterscotch shake one time). One thing I did not care for, however, was their malt. I literally did not get any malt flavor in my chocolate shake until quite literally the very end, because it was all caked on the bottom of the cup and not mixed throughout. I know not to get that if we return to that place when they reopen. Weird that an indoors place like this would even close for the winter, that's usually the time of year I'm really craving this kind of food and atmosphere. read more

In my opinion, this is the best ice cream in the area, bar none. Cute vibe inside, nice service. When we were there tonight they had community toys in a grassy area outside for kids to play with, next to their nice outdoor seating area. It was nice to see kids playing with their parents looking on--our own toddled around happily with a ball while I enjoyed the FANTASTIC pumpkin pie ice cream. When we arrived, there were a lot of cars and a pretty long line inside the place to order, but surprisingly, the line moved pretty quickly. They have a number of ice cream related items on their menu from sundaes to blizzards to banana splits, etc. They have a large selection of flavors and topping to pick from. If anything, looking at the menu is a bit overwhelming. Their homemade ice cream was delicious and didn't feel too heavy and they definitely don't skimp on the portion sizes. We were surprised at how large their single scoop size was! They offer both indoor and outdoor seating and dogs are welcome (outside of course). They even have a "snoop scoop" for your pooches. The noise level was so high that after a short time I had to leave. I feel bad for the young people who work there. Please consider some sort of noise abatement system to control the decibel levels. The single scoop cone is a nice portion compared to other local places. If you are ever in NJ near Spring Lake or Point Pleasant you have to try Hoffmans ice cream, this place blows all of the PA ice cream places out of the water.
