The roadhouse would not have been my first choice, but my dad claimed he received some dollar off coupon. So here he is trying to tell Liz how about getting some coupon code on his Chromebook, but has no way of showing her nor can he remember the code. I was arguing with him about whether or not he had a chrome book or he just went on Google Chrome on his laptop. So it's like hard to get an order out of us. She handled it like a pro! I'd go back there if we we're guaranteed her as our waitress. As for the food it was ok. My ribs were cooked pretty throughly. My dad and friend loved their steaks. Still cannot give this place more than one star ! This is truly the most inconsistent chain on the food industry ! Your food is either thrown at you at SuperSonics speed or painfully slow! I'm deeply disappointed with how far this restaurant has fallen. Long gone are the days when Texas Roadhouse had the buckets with peanuts and shells all over the floor. You knew by the aroma and crowd the food wouldn't disappoint. Nowadays the steaks are low quality. On top of that, it's always a swing and a miss on getting the steak how you want. I find myself ordering medium just to get medium well. The food is consistently underwhelming. Whether it's steak, mash potatoes, salmon, fries, or whatever. There's always something to which to apologize for or reordered. Service is fine it's more the quality of the food/ preparation. When you go out you want to eat the food with your family altogether. Went with a group of friends, which included kids. Service was fast and we were seated quickly as you can go into their App and get on the waitlist. This saved us 40 minutes of waiting on a Saturday night. Waiter was attentive and noticed the rolls with cinnamon butter went quickly. Kids ate them up and he brought out a fresh basket. The adults at the table each got the NY Strip and it was very good. Sides were okay, nothing really stood out. What did stand out was the Veteran discount of 10% off the bill. They also extend this discount to teachers and first responders. And if we had been there on a Thursday, they bumped up the discount to 20%. My medium rare ribeye came out well done, but they took it back cheerfully and it came back done correctly after 5-10 minutes. My guess is too long under heat lamp because mushrooms were over cooked too. Baked potato was passable but not very crispy on outside and slightly too hard on inside (possibly slightly under cooked). Mushrooms were better when new batch came out with new steak. My wife and daughter liked their steak, but ordered theirs well done. My other daughter liked her chicken but didn't think she would order again. Allergy Lesson learned: they have sealed bags of peanuts at every table and waiting area warns of peanut dust. That rules us out for all future trips. My wife talked to kitchen manager and he was very helpful and let us know nothing was cooked with peanuts. We had no issue but no way would I return knowing we have risk and peanuts are everywhere. Place was busy and noisy, but exactly as you'd expect at a budget steakhouse. We had put ourselves on waiting list prior to leaving house and only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated 5:45 on a Friday night. Had our monthly family dinner with our adult children. Our food came out perfect I even got a rare steak that came out rare. All the sides here are amazing. Our service was decent although the server had no clue what the beer list was aside from what was printed on the menu. Bathrooms were clean so were the tables and eating utensils. I'm please to update my review on my take out experience at the Texas Roadhouse. This time I opted for a real entree rather than the family entrees. I chose a full slab of ribs, mashed potatoes, and salad. Husband ordered the pork chops. We also ordered the potato skin appetizers. It did not come with the sour cream, but no problem as I happened to have some. The skins were very generously laden w cheese and bacon so I was very happy. My ribs, which I've been anticipating for probably a week were so satisfying. Everything was cooked perfectly and I'm very happy. Plus I have lots of leftovers too!! Texas Roadhouse is honoring coupons that were "dine in" & I appreciate it. We had literally purchased two hundred dollars worth of gift cards so I used one of my incentive coupons 20$ off and left a very generous tip as well. I have concerns about restaurants I love staying open. I heard a statistic that 1 in 5 will make it. I'm kind of in a hurry to use the gift cards I have in case the unthinkable happens. read more

This was a first visit here and we had a good time. Service and atmosphere were great. The main courses of food were average. We did enjoy their drinks and appetizers. All booth seating was amazing as well. It was a family outing and the kids ordered the hot dog and Mac and cheese kids meals and they were priced better than most places we go to. My husband order steak, ribs and chili and I ordered their smothered chicken, Cesar salad and sweet potato. The sides were great but the entrees were not so good. I was so upset for a lot of reasons. When we got there the waiting area was freezing no heat. We went to get seated and they def are not handicap or young child proof accessible. They only have one table and it was used for some handicap people which is understandably but they should have more floor tables. The booths you can't move the table so it def does not fit everyone. Especially if you have a young child you can't place the seat in the booth bc it doesn't fit. We then asked to get a child seat they didn't have any and brought over a tray holder. The tray holder was so low and wobbly wasn't safe to put child in. Then we were told we can't have it in the way of people moving back and forth. Finally we found a booth that kinda worked every though they didn't really want to move us. Also the host was clueless and didn't know what to do I had to tell him to bring things and get someone who will help instead of just staring at us. Then when we did move we won a prize at a raffle that said dinner for two and a app but when we tried to use both we weren't allowed to. Then the chili came out was so cold. Didn't bother saying anything bc was just annoyed. The is something corporate needs to fix for handicap and you children and even bigger people. Unsafe and not accommodating. We are always fans of Texas Roadhouse in Downingtown. We are willing to go on wait list and wait for a while for food. The service has always been awesome. However, today when we came to this location at Royersford, we were neglected completely. We came at 12 o'clock when the restaurant just opened. We didn't wait and got a table right away. It was great to skip the line but our food took forever. We ordered normal meals, a steak, a salmon, and kid's hotdog, nothing specially customized. It's been one hour and all the tables that came after us seemed to get their food already. We asked the waitress and she said it should be coming soon. It was a terrible experience to just get filled with bread. I'm sure after the food comes, which I don't know when, my kid will already be full and won't want it anymore. read more

Love that every Texas Roadhouse I've visited has a consistently enjoyable experience. Royersford location is clean, friendly staff, and the good food I've enjoyed for over a decade. The first dish I ever ordered at this chain was Roadkill(chopped beef) and I ordered it this time again. Never disappointing and the quality of the meat in every dish is top quality. Ordered my Roadkill medium with a side of broccoli (perfectly cooked, no soggy greens here) and mashed potatoes with gravy. I maybe ate one more delicious roll with that famous cinnamon butter than I should have, but completely worth it! And the peach iced tea was deliciously thirst quenching. we had a group of 14 people last night, which is Wednesday night at the Royersford Texas roadhouse we got seated right away. We called ahead under Bailey sat down. They took her drink ordering about 10 minutes after we sat down. We didn't receive it till a half hour later we put maybe three appetizers in. never received plates for our appetizers never got enough rolls for our table. Never got silverware till our dinner never got straws for our drinks. We had to keep asking and asking not like they were extremely busy we saw a lot of empty tables so then they came to take our dinner menu. I happen to order a steak and potatoes. I asked for medium rare and it came out very dry. I returned it. I got my new steak 35 minutes later when everybody was done, my potato was cold at the time. never came to take any of her dirty dishes away before our dinner trays came. Our table was so trashed up with plates. We couldn't move. We had a birthday cake that we brought with us. We couldn't even put it on the table.
